Disney has officially announced that there will be 3 new cast members in High School Musical 3 when it premieres in theaters October 24, 2008.
After a strenuous and vigorous auditioning process, Matt Prokop, Justin Martin, and Jemma McKenzie-Brown will all star as sophomore "Wildcats" in the movie.
HSM 3 New Cast Members
"We are writing 'High School Musical 4," Disney Channel Worldwide president Rich Ross said Tuesday after a presentation at a midtown Manhattan recording studio. It's likely to be a TV movie unlike "High School Musical 3: Senior Year," though that could change. Filming begins in two weeks in Utah. "Are we going to have all the cast back? Probably not," Ross said. "Will we have some of them? I hope so."

The guild will pop up again when HSM 3 peaks.
I find it interestign though that there will be new cast members.
The idea for a HSM 4 though seems a bit much in my opinion.

I'm not even that excited about seeing any new people in HSM 3, but who knows...Maybe I'll like them. I doubt it, but maybe.. xd
And yeah, a HSM4 does kinda seem like overkill, but there's nothing we can do, but hope It won't turnout bad. sweatdrop

Can't wait for HSM3! Is it coming out in cinemas this time?
Also, I heard that Zac and Vanessa have refused to sign for HSM4. Anyone know if this is true?

The idea for a HSM 4 though seems a bit much in my opinion. -KHandHSM I agree how can you make HSM4 when everyone will be in College? That's just crazy! Disney really needs some fresh new ideas, like maybe a musical written by yours truly. It's not done completely, but it's get there.

At this moment, Zac, Vanessa, and the rest of the gang have expressed no desire to be a part of any future HSM projects beyond the 3rd movie. That's why they are introducing sophomore wildcats, in hopes that they will continue on the franchise.

Put me in the spotlight...
I saw the new cast in a magazine and I wasn't too impressed. I wish that they kept the old cast only but I guess the new people are there to set up the 4th movie.
I was born for it.
