Lucky enough that Zantara had gotten those few seconds from the creature being in shock of being hit from the front and back with a extremely large amount of electricity.
With the now superheated chains flying towards him, more than likely much more raggedly seeing as quite a few of the links would be fused together, Zantara activated the Ice abilities of his Blade of Nazareth, allowing a huge airburst of ice crystals to escape from the blade as he started to swing it, cutting through the superheated chains which attacked him with ease.
As they fell to the ground around him, more or less useless, Zantara finally landed once more almost 10 feet from his previous position. Still wary of the chains, he shifted his slow retreat and began to advance full tilt, his sword slashing back and forth hacking at the chains as they came towards him, blocking the few which he couldn't catch with his shield.. which incidently absorbed all of their forward momentium and kinetic energy causing them to be neigh useless in anycase.
And the kyton so nicely powered up his shield at the same time.
Cutting the 20 feet between him and the kyton almost before it could realize that he'd taken to the true offensive, Zantara went in for a powerful thrust right at the middle of the Devils chest, knowing that if he didn't take it out soon, those chains that where probably chasing him would catch up very very quickly. Turning his blade so that it would slide in between the various chains, he aimmed the thrust at a slight 15 degree angle, argueably hoping that if he went in right under the breast bone, his blade would come out through the base of the neck.

As soon as the silence hit, meaning of course the absence of bird noise, Matthew took cover.
He maneuvered over, so his back was to the trunk of the tree who's canopy he was in. His bow was out, arrow pulled back now, scanning his perimeter, above, below, and at eye level.
Animals make noises. Normal animals that is. His mind worked quickly. Either it was a Demonic Animal, thus spying on him, and needing to be eliminated...
Or it was a normal bird... and shut up because something came too close to it. Something that could be unfriendly.
He'd spend a solid two minutes searching, hoping that, covered as he was by the tree's trunk, any follower might overshoot him and step into sight. Or that he'd get a look at something off of the surroundings, something that didn't belong.
After 2 minutes of searching, it was 1 more minute of waiting. Hoping his little tail and spy, if there was one, would be revealed.
If not in that time, he'd continue onwards, going West, to check out the "Sounds" from there. Caution was doubled, with fear of a "spy" after him.

Allowing his Force Lightning to diminish slightly to allow the devil to think it was over, Estoc sent a final massive pulse down the chains hoping to give it pause once more while his father was attacking.
Stepping backwards as the chains came for him, Estoc allowed his body to falltowards the ground, glad that the chains would get tangled up around the tree branch he'd been standing on.
Finally allowing his Force Lightning to die down, the young mercenary brought his left hand within the guille suit, and pulled out the Glock .357 he had tucked in his shoulder holster. Gripping the large automatic in a two handed grip as he landed perfectly, he sighted on the back of the kytons neck where his chalkrams had hit and fired off three rounds, making sure to pull the handgun down after each shot before firing once more.
As his father was crouched slightly, he knew there was no way that his shots would hit Zantara even if they missed the Kyton... and this shooting probably wouldn't do any damage in any case. But it would cause a distraction and he just might be lucky enough that his earlier attack had weakened the chains protecting the Kytons neck enough that the rounds would finish the job.

[Zantara, Estoc, 870 Yards Left] Zantara's blades strike down at the chains, yet they were unable to cut them. Mainly due to the fact that even with the contrast of temperatures, it still didn't weakened the chains enough to be of any effect. To break these chains require either unbelievable human strength, should they bind a foe, or setting them down, stretching each out, and grinding down on it like a saw. Because of this, Zantara will be unable to stop them all, only deflecting them as the ones behind begin to wrap around certain places. One wraps around his waist, the barbs sticking into him, and the other two each go for an underarm hook around the shoulder. And with a mighty pull, they will slam Zantara's body back first into the ground, soil and dirt shooting upwards from the impact zone. The three remaining chains would come at him, ready to finish the job, but then stop once a shot goes off, three really, striking into the neck of the demon. The four chains that went after Estoc will grind the branch they rested onto with a combination squeeze, but with the shot having happened, the demon looks over its shoulder at Estoc, even as blood starts to run down its back. [Matthew, 880 Yards Left] Moving 15 yards west, Matt will close the 50 ft gap to 35 ft, and he would clearly hear the sounds of battle on the other side of a line of trees, through the thick fog. And surely the three gunshots will sound clearly through the air, showing that someone was indeed in a mighty fight for their life.

Matthew inched along in the canopy. His curiousity towards the 'battle' and need for intel counter weighed by his cautious nature. He refused to charge in, to come on like some tom fool tarzan swinging from a vine to save someone that, for all he knew, didn't need saving or was beyond help.
As he approached closer and closer, he kept his eyes peel towards areas OTHER than the battle's direction, looking out to see if any other spooks or predators, demonic, human, or otherwise, had been drawn by the sounds of the conflict.
Once he was close enough to actually catch even a glimpse of the battle, he'd stop, taking cover behind whatever clump of leaves, truth, or thick branch was available nearby as he spied upon the conflict.

Matthew is able to crouch down behind the bush with the monster not noticing, and sees the current situation: chains are attacking two men, one with a gun and the other just being binded and dragged to the ground in a mighty pull. The demon itself looked to be damaged along its dark green skin, but thus far, still capable of fighting these two.

So...
There are other demon hunters about.
And these guys stumbled onto the creature. Suppose it probably already got off some sort of little Demonic message raising the alarm. Worst case scenario... but probably true, Matthew thought, watching the fight unfold.
Guess it's not going to be an easy in and out after all.
Matthew remained in his hidden position, watching to see how these other hunters handled themselves, and if they would really need his help. He steadied his breathing, focused on keeping himself calm and watching out for any others drawn to the scene by the sounds of battle, or possible demonic alarm.
Once he had an idea how they were handling himself... then he'd make his move.

From the corner of his eye, to the left, Matthew will catch a shine coming from the south. If he does turn his head to see it, it will suddenly disappear. What was that curious light?
