sooo...my school's prom is in april...and i'm stressing out about it! >_< the heat was on since janurary, finding a prom dress, date,etc. gahh... the only dress i have is the one i'm not too crazy about. my mom said that we'll shop around and i can use the one i like the most and return the rest. the assecories would be added once i've decided on a dress. as for a date.. no one has asked me yet, nor do i know who i want as a date. so far, i'm planning to go with one of my friends and her date, and probally two other friends... and for the diner..maybe this place that has great crepes.
btw, prom is a dance, that usually happens in high school. it's for jrs and srs, but if your date is either and you're not in those grades [such as, you're a freshman and you date's a jr] then you can go too. if you want to go to another school's prom, you'll have to fill out this form and turn it in.
so...discuss the above, what did you do to plan for this, what are you looking forward when you're able to go to prom, etc
WOES:
ok...im stressing..obviously. here's a list of what's got me down in the slump
-that guy who's going with me and my buddies has a crush on me. there's a long-ish back story for that, but i'll save it for another occaison. anyway, lately he's been majorly pissing me off. whenever he talks to me, it's irrilivant or stupid innuendo jokes that aren't funny. i'll just ignore him and try to get as far away from him as possible. but it's most likely that he's gonna stand by one of my other friends that im going with. so, either way, i'll be unhappy.
-my hair. i've changed my mind so many times about what hairstyle i want. i started off with curly hair. it came undone within an hour. wavy hair? same thing. so, i'll just use a 3 barrel iron thing instead on my layers and leave it straight for the rest. and i cant go to a solon or something of the sort to get my hair done because my mom's working that day.
-what to do after prom. i assume that we'll just go home afterwards..
-where to eat...yea...i really dont want to go to a pizza place for prom dinner..
-my shoes. it's cute and all, but when i was wearing them in by wearing them to school, i found out that the shoes were kinda big after i streatched them out. so..i have to careful on how i walk or just wear socks.
so...um...yea..this guild needs to be revived..

I've learned so much already. surprised
I always thought that prom were for seniors only, but it's cool that juniors can go too. ^_^
It's great that people from other schools can come too, because at my school, other schools can't come to our dances, so this should be uplifting for those who have a boyfriend/girlfriend in other schools. wink
I'm not really sure about my prom yet. I don't think that I should be worrying about it right now, since I'm still a freshman. But at least, I can actually shop for my prom dress. For formal occasions, my mom would usually let me wear dresses that she already has, and not go out and buy anymore, because she thinks it will waste money, to use a dress for only one occasion. I just want to wear a dress that she didn't already buy, and that I chose one for myself, because it would be a dress that I would truly like. I probably have an idea on who my date is going to be. redface
And don't worry about the date. With or without one, you should not miss out on this magical event. You'd probably have as much fun as with your friends than with a date. 4laugh

Youu are SO lucky!
Our school is suckish, its too small so we don't have prom.
Hope you have fun =)
Haha I feel stupid but whats freshman?
I miss out on so much, I mean we just have elementary and highschool, gr. 6+ is considered highschool.
And our school has never had a dance, our town has only haaad like 2 dances, as far as I can remember. Both of which the entire area around here attended, they were huge. I don't get why we don't have more.
O.O You get to have more than one dress?! Woww your sooo lucky. I had to find a dress for confirmation at church, I didn't even get one. I wore dress pants and a blouse instead because everything was too expensive, or we didn't have time to look for a different one.
I'd probably go with my friends too, cuz the guy I like, who is sortaaa my boyfriend, lives like 4 hours away. crying Going with your friends is always fun though, you can have some pretty crazy moments.

a freshman in high school is a 9th grader.
as for the dress, my mom wants me to use the dress that i got from that time when i was just casually browsing at prom dresses, totally not expecting to get one that day. but hey, at least i have one and that's all i need
heh, the guy i sorta-ish like could be a possible person to go with, as a friend and the other guy is apperently planning to go ask someone else to go with. but going with friends is a definate
i remember my confermation. felt like forever ago.. all i wore is very casual clothes, since i had to wear one of those white robes over my clothes

I bought a dress off of Ebay. xd
But, its custom made from China.. I'm really excited. ^^ Tis my JR year...
I still need to go shopping for accessories.. or I might just wear earrings and such that I already have... Me and Toon have to go to alot of formals.. so between the two of us, there is usually something to wear or complement with each dress.

yea...still have to go shopping. my buddies convinced to go for absolute.
i'm starting to dislike my dress though..heh...i'll just have to pair it with some kickass asscesores then.

wow..a school with "big kids" and "little kids." must be interesting.
and prom's next weeeek... -_- i'm starting to stress about it. and my buddies are planning to go to Mary's Pizza Shack for dinner, since we're really poor and someone works there and gets a discount because of that. and i'm just trying to find a way to tell my buddies that i dont want to go there. but i dont know where else to go for prom dinner within our budgets.

tada!  i had fun at prom. ^_^ -went to friend's aunt's house to get ready -her family made dinner -went off to prom and talked on the way -got there on time, waited for my other buddies to arrive -had fun talking and dancing with others -i slowdanced with a really cute guy ^_^ -the food they served were kinda stale. it was fruits and sweets. -the drinks were meh. soda and water -hung out in the ladies' room to talk and relax -basically ignored that guy.. -went to denny's afterward. funny how some people from prom were there too.. -got home around 4-ish
