"Of course." he nodded at Maki, and followed her into the underground shelter. The veteran drew his rapier, and held up his finger to tell the others to keep quiet. Very rarely did he ever panic like so, but whenever it came to the Wing he would take safety measures to another step. Thrais' safety always meant more to him than his own well being. Prinz closed his eyes, but never once did he lower his rapier. Soon the only thing he could hear was his own rapid heartbeat. He only prayed they had not caught sight of the weaver.

Isabel closed her eyes and cut off her other senses one by one, until the only thing she felt was the air around her. The sensation came back to her slowly, like an old trick never fully forgotten, and little by little she began to see what the wind saw above them. She could see the intruders, their formation, their course, and from above she could see that her Nightingale was concealed from their view. Bogeys in the air...why am I still on the ground? If I were anywhere near as good as he was, I'd be landing amid their flaming wreckage by now...

Thrais was catching her breath beneath the concealing Catacombs of the city. Resting against the wall she shut her eyes and felt out with her threaded vision. It was weird... her sense was getting much much more powerful since the fateful event years ago. It have changed it's very nature slightly in ways she was only begining to descover. Her very essence could snake out along the patterns searching like an extra extesion on herself. Running across the destiny threads till she found whatever she looked for. But the weaver dare not reach out too strongely, or they'd pick up on her presence, the very same way she was using herself. For they were wingweavers as well.
She let her power wave in the currents waiting for any idnicator of their presence, she found it radiating miles away, and the distance slowly but surely increasing... yes.. they hadn't seen her. They were passing over. It was only then did Thrais release the breath she'd been holding the whole time, and she slumped to the floor. "They're gone... I can feel it." She said confirming aloud.

"I wouldn't count on them staying gone. We need to get out of here." Isabel poked her head out of the tunnel like a groundhog watching for her shadow. "I'll test the skies. If they're still up there, I'll try to lead them off. Either way, get to your ships and get airborne as fast as you can. And good luck." She bolted for the Nightingale and didn't look back, her eyes cast skyward for signs of the enemy returning as her feet steered her to the safety of the cockpit. The dust she'd kicked up running hadn't time to settle before she was off the ground, a rapidly shrinking speck of blue against the sky.

The veteran breathed a sigh of relief, but he never let his grip of off the weaver go. Even now nothing had changed...The two of them were still hiding from the Wings. The two of them always had to be on guard. Always. Finally opening his eyes, Prinz sheathed his rapier, and started to lead Thrais out of the catacomb. Isabel's proposition would probably be the best thing to do for the moment. "Maki, you'll be flying with us. Hurry." considering their circumstances, it would be best if the lot of them returned to Traverse Town immediately.

"Alright I'm ready to go when you are." She nodded. She was slightly frustrated at not understanding why her comrades would hide and Thrais looked more worried than when she last remembered. Her muscles twitched to want to fight head on whatever they were supposedly hiding and running from. "Where's your ship? We should go." Maki moved towards the opening of the catacombs and waited for them to go so she could follow. "If need be, I can create cover using the sand as a dust tornado."

"That's all good and well.." THe Cowled figure piped up from the back of the group, "But my question hasn't been answered yet."
He stopped and began tapping his pointed toe in the sand impatiently.
"Books. Where can I buy them?" He paused for a moment, letting out a huff, "Magical ones, preferably."

Her head turned back at the figure's piped up voice. She raised an eyebrow at his request. "Um, there's rarely any magical books around here unless you're lucky to find someone shady in the marketplace..." There were some magical books deep within the mazes of the pyramids outside the city but no one was allowed near it for the guardians of the ruins would strike and drag anyone into it's darkness.

Isabel circled as low as she dared, but still kept well above where the enemy had passed, as well as out of sight of any observers on the ground. She still cursed herself, occasionally out loud, for not having taken to the air instead of hiding with the others. Running and hiding turned her stomach, especially when she knew that nothing could defeat her in the air.
Well, almost nothing. In her entire life, she'd only ever been shot down once, and she prayed every night to forget that terrible day.

"Just a little out of the city." He pointed into the distance, "We had little trouble landing so hopefully the ship won't be in danger of any sandstorms." their stay in Yzea was short, but even then, Prinz knew how beautiful the city was. Dalerion was truly a vast world if it held countless cities just like the city of Yzea. The only thing that threw the veteran off was the strange character that had appeared before them just moments before Thrais had spotted the Wings. The cowled man seemed little interested in what just happened, wich speculated that he was probably some sort of warrior- someone not afraid by the unknown. "Your best bet would be with the moogles." he laughed at the man. "Seek them Traverse Town. They should be a big help in your search."

The cowled figure gave an exasperated sigh. "Traverse Town was the first place I looked.." He answered indignantly, marching through the group of adventurers. He paused at Maki, casting a glance at her through his cowl. "The ruins didn't have much.." He whispered to the native, his voice taking on almost a serpentine quality.
He then moved onward, making an obscure sign in the air with a gloved hand. A circle of flame appeared in the air a few feet from the cowled spell caster. Undaunted, the cowled man strode through the fire and disappeared.
The fire then fizzled out, and the cowled man was nowhere to be seen.

Her eyes shot to his face, wide at his words. "What did you say?!" She almost shouted but he was gone before she was able to get any answers. Emerald eyes were glaring at the dispersed fire and her fists clenched. "Who the hell was he...? And...he went into the ruins?! Coming out alive is nearly impossible...Che." She looked over her shoulder at Prinz and Thrias, wondering if they heard what he had said to her, "Who was that guy?"

Prinz was completely oblivious to how severe the ruins really were, but Maki's reaction was enough to tell him they were no walk in the park. The veteran eyed the stranger very carefully, and simply watched as he disappeared. What an interesting man indeed, and he doubted that would be the last time they would meet. "...Come on, lets go." he spoke quietly and started to push Maki along towards the ship- the ship he had no intention of her flying. While he was pushing Maki along, he softly held the weaver's hand in his free hand. To be honest, his hand was still shaking a bit from seeing the Wings all the way out here. How could he have forgotten all about them?
