"That monkey-thing scared you." Claw argued back to Mickey. After following her call, Claw was finally in the same clearing as her. He grinned in triumph, and gave her a short wave "But have no fear! Claw is here!"

"My hero?" Mickey said with another small laugh. She was still sat down in the flowers, though.

"Yeah. Your hero." He trotted up besides Mickey, and plopped himself into the wild flowers. "Come to rescue you from being bored and alone." nodded Claw. To him, it sounded reasonable enough.

Mickey chuckled. "I was having a nice nap before you turned up," she told him. After a pause, she added, "But I'm glad you did."

"And I was having a nice arguement with Nariko." Claw repsonded to Mickey. he plucked a flower from the ground, and looked over it in between his fingers. "And why is that? What happened to the Mickey a few hours ago that was pushing me away?" he asked her, looking up from the flower.

"About that..." Mickey paused. "I'm sorry," she said, blushing slightly as she turned her attention to the ground. "I... I saw Larissa and Nariko, and I... was scared of what they'd say..."

"Why?" Claw asked her again. He dropped the flower back onto the ground, where it limply lay. "I don't give a damn what people think about me being bi or gay, or straight, or whatever. So why should you care what they think about you?"

Claw wasn't keeping good eye contact with Mickey, either. He glanced away irratatedly at the sky. "Ugg. Sometimes they can be such a nag. Just ignore them, for at least a little...." his eyes flickered on the girl now, and he scooted closer to her.

Mickey didn't notice Claw moving closer to her, though if she had, she wouldn't have minded. She gently brushed her hand across the flowers on the grass and they moved their heads towards her hand.

Mickey kept eye ocntact with Claw. She couldn't speak for a moment. How could she say no? Her throat was dry, and her heart was pounding. Unable to speak still, she nodded slowly.
