That's why I live half a year in Japan and the rest in Australia. Hopefully my residency application will be approved and I will be able to live there for the rest of my life.

After travelling around the world, I have found Australia the best place to live, especially Melbourne. One of the things I love is when you board a bus, people greet the driver and the people sitting around. Then when they get off, they say thank you. I've never seen that anywhere in the world, including Japan.

I recommend you all to live in Melbourne, rent is cheap and food is cheap too. An incredible place to live with high standard of living plus world class enterintament like having the Australian Open and the F1 Melbourne Grand Prix. Then you have the fabulous european class clubs and eateries.

There's this tranquil european type ocean side city called Sorrento where even the Ferrari family own a villa there. It has the most beautiful sunset I have ever seen and I have been to Tahiti which was the best before this one. I was eating oysters drinking wine with a friend of mine at this restaurant which had a huge window towards the ocean. The sun was setting and the sky turned pink with a pink ocean. I don't like the color pink much but this was like watching a celestial event. Nothing compares to the Australian sky at night, you can read a book under the stars even without the moon.

I have to say, Australians are direct but extremely polite and I just love the people there. Even the street beggars are generous. I always take out someone to eat whenever they ask for money. Like this one girl who was rail thin and clearly had a drug problem. She asked for money and wanted to eat. I told her to come with me and we ate at this little eatery where she just ate a few things and drank a coke. She blessed me and thanked me while the cooks applauded me. They told her to come whenever she needed to eat. This is what a great country is made of, from fine people who know exactly what life is about and care enough to be able to relax and lay back to enjoy it.

But you're British which makes it waaaaay much easier than me who needs to invest US $100,000 just to make sure I do get it. xD

Also, my friends over there are pulling strings and sponsoring me so I should get it anytime soon like by the end of the year.

I've never left the country, and only been to 2 states not surrounding my own, one being South Carolina and one being Colorado. I'm lame sad

I've never been to Australia so I'm not sure if I'd live there... maybe up along the northern edges close to the equator. Home to me is hot and/or humid. Yum.
