Thanks *heart* I hope he's ok too... They were having a Christmas party, a reunion of all the rugby boys from highschool... It was a formal event, not a drunk kegger or anything, and some kids from the school that weren't on the team decided to invite themselves. It was one of those kids who attacked Brenden

Layra-chan I don't know. The Standard Model also has a lot of flaws, what with being horrendously ad hoc and all. I mean, yeah, it's the best approximation to date, so it should be regarded as the proper theory, and I do like it more than string theory, but still... I guess my geometry leanings make me inherently biased toward GTR over QM and its children. My point exactly. wink

We don't want to sell you anything, we will not scam you, we will not rape your cats, we will keep your godamn precious anynomity, we don't really care what you think, we're just asking for your DAMN opinion on stuff.

If you REALLY don't have ******** 5 minutes of your life to help a DAMN guy or girl make his HOURLY QUOTAS then just ask THE FIRST TIME we call to be REMOVED from THE LIST IN A POLITE MANNER.
If you just say you're not interested, we will call back eventually.
Don't ******** open the line to hang up right away. We will ******** have to call you back.
Don't make strange noises on the phone, we will have to call you back.
Don't insult us. Some more sadistic surveyor will appoint you with an automatic phone appointment at 10 AM Saturday morning.
Don't mock us, we seen way more witty people than you.
Don't say you don't have time 20 times, we will just call back in an hour, in 3 hours or the next day.
DON'T YELL REALLY LOUD AND/OR USE A WHISTLE AND/OR OTHER LOUD OBJECT. We have a realy effective volume button and also a "killswitch" for the sound. AND Canada/Usa 411 works WONDERS with tel numbers. I don't know the person on the line, can be a psycho, but the reverse is also probable.
If you SPECIFIED that you wanted to be TAKEN OFF THE LIST BUT WE STILL CALL BACK. Then calmly explain the situation, ask for the surveyor's name or talk to the supervisor's. It may be an error or an idiot not doing his job right. In the 2nd case, the idiot will get a blame.
See, not that hard dang it. Bunch of impolite a*****e douchebags.
(PS: I'm not talking about TELEMARKETERS. Those a*****e are ******** douches. I mean SURVEYORS.)
PPS razz lease excuse the blatant generalization and prejudice here. I'm just venting.

jopwie MY BROTHER'S BEST FRIEND SINCE GRADE 7 NEARLY DIED LAST NIGHTThis ******** kid, omg, he was so upset he lost a game of fooseball to Brenden and Will that he smashed Brenden in the face/head with a bottle, then ran. Brenden was released from the hospital early this morning after more than 100 stitches and a transfusion or two because he lost over a litre of blood. I just don't understand crying How the ******** could someone do that to someone so sweet and nice over a GODDAMNED GAME OF ******** FOOSEBALL, this poor kid, he's only 19, and his face is gonna look like a pizza for the rest of his life crying Wow. Someone has severe anger issues, seriously. So he lost to a game of fooseball? I can't even begin to explain how much angst must be in someone's mind to snap over a stupid game of fooseball. I hope the kid's condition improves for the better.

I always try to make people feel way akward if they call me at the wrong moment. I once got called by a phone surveyor and they were like "Sorry, are you busy sir?" and I responded, "Yeah, I am busy. I'm watching some yoga video and trying to beat off. Now, do you mind?"

I came back to Edmonton to see my girlfriend. The trip was 6 hours long, and I have to stay with my mother, who I don't like at all. But when I got here, my girlfriend wont even talk to me.

My bad, Linen razz You see, the thing is that when you hang up, there is a whole lot of people that can hear you SINCE almost every company is recorded. So if you say something stupid, about 60 people will laugh at you.
