I had one tablet... of 0.5mg...

Mm, ok. Well from what I've read on Xanax, it's not the greatest sedative in the world. It has far too many side effects. But what you're experiencing are normal side effects of Xanax. It doens't appear to be that big of an issue. 0.5mg is the correct dosage indeed. So nothing to worry about there.

I'd say you're safe, it definitely is the drug just doing what it's supposed to. Common side effects. 3nodding

There are a hell of a lot of side affects... that's why I was scared to take them... it took me to the third day of having them to actually use one... sweatdrop

Xanax
More common side effects may include:
Abdominal discomfort, abnormal involuntary movement, agitation, allergies, anxiety, blurred vision, chest pain, confusion, constipation, decreased or increased sex drive, depression, diarrhea, difficult urination, dream abnormalities, drowsiness, dry mouth, fainting, fatigue, fluid retention, headache, hyperventilation (too frequent or too deep breathing), inability to fall asleep, increase or decrease in appetite, increased or decreased salivation, impaired memory, irritability, lack of or decreased coordination, light-headedness, low blood pressure, menstrual problems, muscular twitching, nausea and vomiting, nervousness, painful menstruation, palpitations, rapid heartbeat, rash, restlessness, ringing in the ears, sedation, sexual dysfunction, skin inflammation, speech difficulties, stiffness, stuffy nose, sweating, tiredness/sleepiness, tremors, upper respiratory infections, weakness, weight gain or loss

So as you can see. There's a lot of things that can go wrong.
And right now I have a headache. D:

So, I just got off the phone with my Mother, she's a nurse, and apparently she had much sthe same problems with Xanax. So she actually stopped taking it after 3 days. O:

Chemmy, my advice is contact your GP and tell him/her it's not being any help for you and see if you can get onto another anti-depressant. You're experiencing far too many side effects for it to be worth it. I sumply suggest you try to get onto something else.

I'm feeling a bit more awake now, but only because I found a rip in my jeans and now I can't wear them and I have nothing to wear anymore because my damn hips grew more and so half my pants don't fit anymore as it is, and now my jeans are gone and I have no clothes and can't afford anymore so I'm just going to have to go to uni naked until I can afford anymore... crying

You're going to go uni naked?!!! eek (come to think of it, it sounds like a cool idea). You could wear a dress, unless you don't have any.

-- Going to uni naked is not a cool idea, only some seriously perverted person would say something like that.
-- I don't have any dresses, only one that I wear with my jeans because it is too short to wear in public.
-- I have only two other pairs of pants, but they're not my favourites, and they don't match many of my clothes...
-- I have a couple skirts, but it gets really cold at uni and I can't wear them for labs anyway.

I meant it as a joke. blaugh

Well, if you like those pair of jeans so much you could get your mum to sew the rip back up.
