Chemical_Kitten Minielf Chemical_Kitten Japanese nerds eek Minielf Wow, that's an awesome achievement, being so good at Chinese in High school. But then again, I got straight A+s in German from Year 7 all the way till Year 10. Did you do Chinese as a High School Certificate subject? I learnt it from halfway though year four until the end of year twelve. Yes, it is on my senior certificate and contributed to my OP. I don't study it anymore and am sooo rusty... I can hardly remember anything... crying I'm ashamed I only got 33 for my Chinese SL last year as a study score. crying I was born in China, have spoken fluent Chinese all my life, yet I did horribly in the SACs and exam. But at least I can still speak very fluenty. On the other hand, even though I did excellent at German for over four years, I hardly remember a single word now. crying Just trying to remember basic vocab and grammar hurts my head... It's a real shame to just forget it all because I'd been studying for so long and gone so well in it. It's like it's all gone to waste... crying I know what you mean. I think most whites tend to suffer from that effect after they finish doing Chinese, because they have to struggle to even speak proper sentences fluently. I'm lucky because I'm exposed to Chinese every day of my life.
