Kasai held the pistol out in front of him and walked quietly around the tree he had heard the creak come from. Pistol in front of him he came around the side, to see a tall Masque leaning against a tree. Kasai stopped a moment and then realized the other masque wasn't wearing a shirt either. Uhm, hello...do I know you? Kasai was a bit speechless, this was a strange way to meet someone that he had never seen before. Realizing that he still had the blaster out, Kasai holstered the weapon. He didn't want to seem threatening to this strange new person.

Cern leaped to his feet and watched the young man holster his weapon. It took a moment before it clicked that this...this was Kasai. he matched the description from Fauve perfectly. Well, descriptions. Kid must have grown up. The thought made Cern pause.
I'm Cern. You have to be Kasai. Fauve's mentioned you. A lot. He held out one hand to shake.

Kasai weighed Cern's words closely, Fauve had meantioned him. That means Fauve had been hanging around with this guy, who had been a teen for a while and by Kasai's best estimation an attractive teen. Kasai smiled at Cern and took his hand to shake it. All the while wondering what Fauve thought of Cern when he ran around without his shirt on, So what brings you to the forest Cern? Kasai wondered why Fauve hadn't meantioned Cern to him...maybe she didn't want him to know about her friend.

Collecting plantlife to take back to the ship. Getting a bit of a suntan without someone yelling about the halfnaked guy again. You? What brings you to this part of the wood?
What was with this guy? Cern didn't quite trust the look in his eyes. Or the fact that he went about armed. Even Cern didn't go about armed, not since he misplaced his hammer somewhere. Fauve hadn't mentioned insanity though.

Plants...why did he need plants on his ship. Kasai looked Cern over out of the corner of his eye, he was gathering plants and running around partially clothed in rade territory, didn't seem like a rational fellow to Kasai; he hadn't even brought anything with him to protect himself with. I was going to the ruins with Galilee, we must have gotten seperated somehow. Do you happen to know the way to the ruins? I haven't ever been there but I bet if I can get there I will meet back up with Galilee, Zahar was heading that way as well. Kasai found a tree to lean on, he didn't want anything creeping up behind him.

The ruins? I haven't been there since I was a kid. I've been off planet for a long while. That's why I'm collecting the plants. Ed brought back some pets I'm trying to acclimate. And the last time I was at the ruins, we were attacked, split up, and hunted, Cern thought. But I'm not going to wig you out anymore than you are by mentioning that tidbit.
Turning his full attention on Kasai, Cern popped his neck. So what's at the ruins that all of you are heading there for? I miss some news flash?

Kasai shrugged, I went home after changing and then to my room. Galilee and Zahar were there, Zahar kinda wigged out and took off out the door. She was heading for the ruins, so Galilee and I went after her, Gali wants to make sure she is alright. Kasai looked around the forest it did seem quite pleasant and quiet at the moment. Anyways, I should probably try to find Galilee and Zahar at some point, so do you remember which way the ruins are? Even though you haven't been there for a while?

Back the way you came and off to the far right, I guess? Complete opposite of however you found this spot? All I can think. His curiosity was going to eat him alive. I gotta know. What's with the holster? You look like some of the guys in Ed's holovids.

Kasai nodded at the directions and then looked down at the lazer pistol in it's holster. Well, if I hadn't brought it Cin would have skinned me alive. Kasai looked at the other teen a moment and thought, he was walking around with no weapons and very little clothes on...he probably didn't realize where he was in the forest. But he had been to the ruins, he knew the rade were there. She doesn't like me being out here without her as it is, but as long as I am armed and have others with me she trusts me enough to let me go through rade territory without her. Kasai measured the others response, he really did want to know if Cern didn't realize that he was in rade territory, plus I like having it, grew up with Cin so it is natural to have a blaster around.

Cern choked back his laughter. A blaster. On rade? What sort of power does that thing have?! The one Ed gave me could probably take down a cub. If I aimed right. And was feeling sadistic. That settled it. He wandered off alone, with just a blaster as defense, and the blasters Cern had seen were nothing. Kasai was officially crazy. No offense, but at least I can stall a rade long enough to get away. Maybe I should help you find your group, just to be on the safe side. Fauve would never forgive me if I let a rade have you. Still chuckling a bit under his breath, Cern grabbed his shirt back up and decided to come back for the plants.

Kasai actually twitched slightly, this guy had no idea what he was talking about. 'Sai didn't know about the blasters that ED had but when practicing with Cin they had destroyed the targets. Sorry pal...but I think you have it wrong or you were just given a very inferior weapon. Kasai pulled the pistol from his holster, running his thumb along the side he pushed the power to full, want proof that a heavy war-surplus laser pistol can take down a rade? Kasai then raised the pistol and took aim at a dead tree not far from the idiot, eyeing one of the heavier branches he shot off a bolt from the gun, invisible and silent the bolt hit it's target, cutting the thick branch clear from the tree, it burned a good portion of the branch to dust, and left the rest to fall, a scorch mark was also left on the ground behind where the branch was. Kasai then holsters his weapon and turns to look directly at Cern, I doubt a Rade would have survived that.

That tore it. Don't. Do. That. I don't care if it looks dead, I don't care if it's on the ground, you don't know what's living on it or what needs it. Do NOT destroy things wantonly around here. What kind of idiot are you? He forced himself not to shove the arrogant fool. I refuse to believe Cinderfae would have taught you stuff like that was okay. How do you know that wasn't home to something? How do you know you didn't just kill something? Or that the tree was still supporting it?
He pulled his shirt back on, not bothering to tuck it back into his kilt. Holster that. And if we see a rade, don't fire until I give the word. With my luck, you'll hit me. He left the trigger happy ape part out.

Kasai restrained himself from laughing, this guy was talking about the tree like it was his long lost girlfriend or something. 'Sai rolled his eyes and holstered his weapon. I doubt highly that anything was living in the branch, plus what about those plants you are collecting. What if some little creature was going to eat those for dinner and now you have taken them back to the ship, so said poor little animal is just going to have to go without food and starve to death. Kasai had decided he really didn't like this guy, he didn't know how to protect himself, and was way too attached to dead trees. Kasai reasoned that Fauve most likely didn't find this Cern attractive, he was after all a bit slow at times it seemed.
