"Look in Malik's basement." Nelphean said, "I cannot leave or Fenix will kill someone here. I will stay here to protect the den, while you go forth and find our fiend." Nelphean offered really not knowing where that informatin came from.

Of all the places Rand could have followed Kellg'hn, she arrived in the basement of a very old and elaborate manor. The sounds of pleasure and pain echoed off the walls, and the air had a distinct musk.

The half drow was no where in sight.

Malik sat comfortably, relaxing with Malvolence at his side. waiting...this was the hard part. but the instructions had been specific. let them come to him. Then when all was said and done, he'd have the Conduit, and Aurahkah's offspring. that woudl bring him Aurahkah.

the Game is afoot, Fenix. are you sure your soldier can handle the vah is he really is capable of what my father tried to do? or any allies he might bring? the wolven father to that girl is an incredible power in his own right, and they have a myraid crew with access to technologies and magics I've never seen

He looked at Malvolence, the vampiric blade born of Cymarron's blood. and began to wonder if this deal was going to be worth it.

Cymarron looked at the elf for a moment, eyes shifting between having pupils and then being solid red.

"Malik. We killed Malik. we watched him die, ate his leash bearing hand. But if that is where this thing taunts you to go, then that is where we will go."

Kellg'hn killed a demi-lich single handily, and with only his sword. If they fight him they will know death. Besides, if they kill my puppet I will just make another. You, kill Cymarron, he stopped hating the elf and is now a liability and not an asset... or try to make him think that the elf is resposible.

Something was wrong, this seemed too easy. IT was a trap. Something wanted to leave the manor vulnerable. Something wanted the powers to run after Ecara...

Nelphean ordered Kellendel to get Ke'Nel and to hold the roof. He asked Sylphina to take Rain and Xail to the front gate. He told Taria that she was going to be his luitenant while Aurora was despondent. Aurora was allowed to calm her nerves at the stress she felt looking into Eclipse's eyes. It had shaken her, and she felt worthless.

"Aurora, I still love you." Nelphean kissed his daughter softly on the brow, and hugged her tightly. "Come to me when you are ready."

Monolith was ordered to the front door, he was to stop everything at every cost. Talon and Claw were to patrol the forests and watch for interlopers. Everything was going to work out fine, hopefully Nelphean was wrong about this...

The elf sat despondently at the gate, and watched everyone flow everywhere. He sat still and wished he was not so weak.

Rand took a deep breath. She knew what Malik wanted from her, knew he'd try again to get it. He might even succed this time.

She had one advantage this time. Malik, if he got his hands on her, would not have full use of her conduit. Elias and Cymarron had "first dibs" because of their bonding. Now, all she needed to do was not think about that, Malik had an eerie habit of being able to guess, if not outright tell, what she was thinking.

He eyes glowed red, like her brothers. "I am ready."

They were about to enter the throne room.

"We are in Malik's manor. Followed Ecara's and the enemies energy signature, about to make frontal attack."

She looked at Eclipes, swallowed, and prepared to enter.

Eclipse merely kicked open the doors, he wasn't in the mood for games at all. A snarl at Malik before him who seemed to be having problems of his own. He crouched, and flexed his hands, claws aching to get into Malik. But he wasn't stupid enough to make the first move. "Malik....lead here I am to believe you have my daughter....where is she?!"

A small box under Malik's chair emulated the smell, spirit, and mental presence of Kellg'hn. Fenix's greatest trap had suceeded.

Kellg'hn placed the girl on a rock near the manor gates. He smiled at her one last time wondering where she came from. He had found himself in the basement of a manor not overly far from here, and had no idea who she was or where she was from. He left the foul manor, and wandered the wilderness paths, eventually ending up here, by this other manor. He scratched the girl's ears, and smield at her. Then his face lost all its emotions and he turned towards the manor. He walked slowly to the gates, and steped in. He saw his enemy sitting by the fence, looking at the ground, unaware of his presence.

He kicked the elf from the fence, across the field and into a window of the manor. Then he marched to the door.

Kellendel saw this and almost cried, he launched a series of his more potient spells at the creature, but they seemed to have no effect. Ke'Nel joined in the casting and brought down the fingers of god upon it, to no avial.((flaming pillars of fire)).

Sylphina charged him with her swords draw, but found her foot wraped with a whip, the next thing she knew she was thrown over Kellg'hn by the whip and crahed heavily into the ground. Rain charged next firing his pistol and wielding a powered sword. Both proved ineffective, and he found himself a pincussion, five darts penetrating his armour. He fell to the ground, trying to keep himself alive using his only med-pack.

Kellendel and Ke'Nel continued their barrage after Rain was knocked out of the fight, still no effect on the crazed warrior, who hurled a dagger at Kellendel, which plucked into the elf's chest near his heart. He fell over and lay very still, barely alive as well, his robe had prevented the dagger from digging all the way to the heart. Ke'Nel charged the fiend, flying down from the roof and hacking at the man with his mace, only to find his throat captured by the whip, and four dagger penetrating his chainmail and burning his flesh. Ke'Nel was tosed over the wall, and into the forest.

Claw and Talon saw all this, and decided that they would best serve the manor by retriveing Ke'Nel.

Monolith stood the long guard before the door, and he did not budge. The metal giant weighed a few tones, much more than any living creature could carry. The half-drow caught Monolith's first attack, and used it to lift the creature into the air, and then used him to break down the main entrance. The broad sword rsuhed out to slice the behemoth into four parts, and was left on the ground as well.

Inside the door, Nelphean looekd at the creature and frowned, he had manged to get throught the entire defense system, unharmed. "How in the nine hells?" Nelphean shout, he pushed Taria away as he bravely charged the lone drow.
