Nari had little time to raise the shield, but made it just in time before Elana made her move.
((Since I have no idea how Elana is attacking, I can't write more xp ))

The shield was raised at the last second, but just as nari hads thought, the impact was too much for it. It absorbed some of the damage, but the rest cut through, forcing Nari to pary with her daggers. The force in the impact was almost enough to push Nari off the cloud, but she somehow managed to stay on it.

It absorbed some of the damage, but the rest cut through, forcing Nari to pary with her daggers. The force in the impact was almost enough to push Nari off the cloud, but she somehow managed to stay on it. ((think of the cloud they're standing on as solid ground with a slight cushoning when you fall down...*can't think what to do next and offers you the oppertunity to take advantage of it*))

((Yes, but remeber that Nari made her own little cloud, so she could levitate a few feet over the ground? It was that cloud I meant.))
Emedialty after recovering from the impact, Nari began a spell. It was one of the few she knew by heart and didn't have to use the magical daggers for. In a blink, she vanished from the cloud, an reappeared just in front o Elana. Nari was taken aback by it, as she had thought that she could copy Elanas trick and get behind her opponent. But the had measured the distance wrong.
Quickly recovering from the miscalculation, Nari made a move, lashing out with her dagger, hoping to be able to for once hit Elana.

Nari let a smile curve her lips.
"For once I managed to hit you." she said, both surprised and happy. Had she gotten better? She hoped that all the training she had been put through had payed off.

Nari smiled.
"Yeah," she said. "I thought I'd try your own little favourite trick on you and see how you would react. It's a good technique. I'm just not as good at teleporting as you are."

heh....thats something I've compleatly mastered....interdimentional teleporing included rofl *remembers that the two are still sparing and desides to show nari how it's done and teleports behind her then taps her sholder before throwing a punch to her back(gut if she turns around in time)*

Nari was taken off guard by Elanas sudden teleportation. She thought about turning, but before she had has the time to do so, she felt the tap of her shoulder. And then came the punch. Nari was sure Elana had meant for it to land in the back, but as Nari had turned half by this time, she felt the fist bury itself deep in her side, almost knocking the air out of her lung.
"Aaaah!" A surprised yelp escaped Nari and she jumped away, holding her hand over her side.
Don't forgett you're still in battle, she reminded herself, coughing a little.
She let her other hand slid down her pocked, and her fist clenced around three small round objects. A smile crept over her face, and while standing up, she hurled the small balls into the ground, shattering them. Grey thick smoke escaped the balls, and within seconds, the area was covered in smoke so thick you couldn't see more than two meters infront of you.
Heh.... Nari thought and closed her eyes. Let's see how you handle this.
She mumbled an anicent word, and the blue jewel on her forehead began to shimmer. Behind her closed eyes, vision was suddenly restored, and she saw the world in a blue light, through the jewel. it filtrated much of the smoke, but not all. A few feet away, she could see Elana as a hazy figure in the smoke. Nari was pretty sure Elana could not see this well in smoke. At least she hoped so.

*as the smoke rose around her Elana's wound from earlier proved to be senitive to it causing her to cry out a bit in pain. biting her lip she begain to retreat from the smoke to prevent any supprises* ......you sure made a good hit on me.... O_< *as she said that Elana took a look at the gash in her side still bleeding*

Nari frowned as she heard Elanas gasp of pain. She moved closer and saw the ctgirl withdraw from the smoke, checking her wound.
What the....? Nari thought. The smoke is hurting her? How can that be? I thought this was harmless!
She felt the smoke tickle her nose, but that was nothing out of the ordinary. While she pondered over this, something her friend - who had given her the smokebombs - had said came to her mind: Don't worry, they are compleatly harlmess to humans. But Elana wasn't a human.....
She tapped one of her daggers with her indexfinger and thought about this. What to do now? If this had been a real battle, Nari would have taken the chanse to strike yet again, but she was a little worried about Elanas wound. it still bleed, even thought Nari first had thought that she hadn't cut a very deep wound.
The smoke was slowly disappearing, lingering lazily in the air. If nari was to take advantage of this, she would have to act quickly. She nodded and decided to move. Since Elana had moved out of the smoke, a back attack was useless, and she would probably be ready fora front assault. But would she count on an attack from above? Nari drew blood from the small wound in her foot, the small cloud forming under her, lifting her up. Silently, she flew through the smoke and came up above Elana. The she jumped, diving down with her daggers ready. Had this been a real battle, Nari would have rammed the blades of the daggers down in Elanas shoulders, but now she only intended to tap her shoulders with the hilts.

((as far as the pain, the smoke acted similar to using rubbing alcohal on the wound)) *quickly sencing Nari's move Elana teleports above her, ready to give a quick slash with the claw, hopefuly the enchanted claw would close the wound with a sucsessful hit*
