William knew his questions were both infinite, and non-existant. His knowledge would not be gained through forbidden means, and he certaintly didn't want to hear any more about destiny. "Shadow, I think its best that we leave, some of these questions may be best not heard by us." William made way for the door, unsure of what he was going to do once he did leave. "Cook..." he mumbled under his breath.
Eclipse remembered all too well what adressing Cyril would accomplish, and he saw no reason he needed to ask questions. He left without a word, right after Will.

Shadow had spent a few moments looking around the library using psionics and managed to grab a few books, one he knew would sell for alot in the right hands and a few on psionics, including one on their history. Placing them in his puch he stood and left, nodding goodbye to Cyril. It was time to continue on it seemed.

((I get to exercise my power as sub-DM!)) When Shadow exited the room, the books in his pouch that had been taken from their eternal resting place seemed to evaporate. The information was once again re-assembled in the library, for that was the only place left on this earth for forbidden information.

(( XD )) Soon it would be a funeral and his worst fear for Shadow. Neither were a bright gleam in the future, maybe after all this was over he'd get good times again though, times like those before the raid. But like it or not that raid unlocked his potential and as much as he hated it he couldn't help but be thankful. And besides the fate of the world rested at least partially on his shoulders, a big burden but still something many likely longed for. Of course he didn't even know where to next, those events may be coming up but where would they have to go for them?
Maybe Eclipse or WIll would know, if not Ivellios would probably be coming up soon, he was overdue to make an appearance anyways. Well he'd throw the question out to the others, if they didn't know he'd wait for Ivellios, or just go out, either way was fine. "Well that's done. Either of you know where to next? Or will we have to wait for Ivellios to show up?"

William took a few moments to decide what should be done. "Shadow I have come to the ultimate conclusion that Ivellios will always find us, and we will always end up where we should. I'd like to cook a meal for us at my home. I think it'd be nice to share a hefty feast, since we are all now destined to walk together until our dieing breath" William winked at Shadow.
Eclipse agreed, they had been travelling for many miles, and days, yet, he knew so little of his comrades. It would be nice to get to know his companions much better. "A meal... sounds like a great idea" Eclipse closed his eyes, his tone didn't suggest he was very excited, but he was too deep in reflection to make it sound convincing. A betrayer... That fiend Tael seemed like the most likely to betray, it was in that monster's blood to destroy. If Eclipse ever layed eyes on him, he vowed that Tael would never taste another's blood.

"Finally." Raithe sighed, turning to towards the door. She had no questions about any of this, and was all too anxious to leave. She paused and looked over her shoulder to see if Ashen was following, but he still faced Cyril.
Anticipating her question, Ashen spoke before Raithe could voice it. "Go on ahead, I have some things I need answers to. I'll meet you later at Cliffside. Unless you want to stay and listen to us blabber on and on." Ashen added the last part with a playful tone to his voice, and a smile on his humanoid face.
Raithe shrugged and nodded in understanding. Ashen often got into deep conversations with people, and he loved aquiring knowledge. She didn't want to stop him from doing this, but she also didn't want to have to sit through it all. So Raithe proceeded to the door and exited, reaching the others just as Will mentioned something about cooking.
After Raithe had left, Ashen looked back a Cyril, gave a polite smile, and sat down on the ground like he had seen Raithe do when she meditated. "I hope you don't mind me staying, but I have alot I wish to know. It would seem a shame that you spent so long amassing this information and then not pass it on, wouldn't you agree.?"

Shadow nodded, he needed a good meal. The last food he ate had had been fine, but he doubted he'd head back to that inn for the food. The room was nice though, maybe not as nice as he had had in the guild. As thoughts of the guild moved into his mind he sighed. It seemed like that guild will have been the last great gathering of psions, and to think they had devoted their talents to thievery. Sure they had too but it was a shame.
Shaking thoughts of the past from his mind Shadow once more nodded, accompanying the nod with words. "A meal sounds nice, as long as it's not too plain, I haven't had a good fancy meal in a while. Now let's get out of here." And without waiting for any response he left, walking through the lobby and out the door into fresh air.

Cyril seemed to nod in response. "Of coure I do not mind, I have been here for more than 20 million years! What are but a few more questions? Please do ask what you must know, though I cannot promise that you may like these answers, or how much detail I can go into about them."
"Raithe, care to join us for a meal at my residence? I promise only the finest in culenary arts." William smiled, he really did want to get to know Raithe from her own perspective of herself. Most people assumed since he could look into someone's life he could understand what life experiences they aquired from the situation. William could not read souls, only minds.
Walking forward, Eclipse also procceeded to the front doors and embracing the tragedy that lied before him. So many lives torn, and shattered. For what purpose did it all serve?

Chapter 12: Words of Creation
Wow, not a bad place... Prima facie, Rael's house measured up comparitively to the others around it. It wasn't run-down or poor-looking, instead standing tall and proud, in it's own modest kind of way. He'd seen bigger, more expensive buildings in masses in this city of towers, but he'd seen worse, too. Guess they're middle-class. Almost surprising a city like Sharn even has a middle-class.
Colin tried to drag Rehael into her house. "Come o-on." He pleaded. "We've gotta hurry!" One look at the poor kid's swollen, misty eyes and Tyrin knew Rael would buy it. The kid's face even made him want to dash into the house, find his brother, and jolt him back to health with his stronger magic. On second though...not a good idea.
They were ushered inside by the boy, who knew his way around well enough. In through the front door, opening up into an expansive entrance - one Tyrin didn't have much time to admire, seeing as the boy Colin continued on with urgency. Sighing, Tyrin followed. "Why can't I ever not be with peple who are in a hurry?" His comment caught Rael's attention.
"Where's your sense of adventure?" She laughed. "We're gonna be heroes! Saving the life of a poor kid, so soon after you healed all the others in the library. And besides, dear little Colin here's asking you to hurry for him. You wouldn't want something to happen to his brother, would you?" Rehael winked.
By Moradin's beard, why are these people so cruel to me? Tyrin nodded half-heartedly, keeping pace. "If you ask me, the only time it's good to be in a hurry is when you're getting out of trouble..."
"We're he-ere!" Rehael announced triumphantly as Colin led her and Tyrin into her room. Sure enough, Eric was lying on the bed, looking dangerously pale. "Wow, he doesn't look so great...do you know when this started, Colin?" She asked sweetly.
"Umm...today, about...two hours ago, I think. His eyes just got all wide, and he started getting sick for no reason...I think."
"Well, you sound sure of yourself." Rehael messed up Colin's hair as she knelt closer to Eric. He breathing was staggered, but his pulse felt fine. Feeling his forehead, Rehael could tell his body wasn't overheating...so what was it? Something magical, or unnatural? "Tyrin, I think you should take a look at him. A second opinion would be best before calling on anyone to do the job." If anyone would even come to help right now. Actually, speaking of help, the Sharn Watch should have been at the library already. Where were they...?
With little more than a nod, Tyrin brought himself to Eric's bedside. No signs of cuts, or bruises... Tyrin checked Eric's pulse and felt his forehead. Both turned out average. Massagin his temples, Tyrin reflected. "If what's doing this is non-magical, I'll have no means of finding out what's doing this, and I can't heal him. If it is magical, then one of us makes a very good good-luck charm." In truth, anything magical inflicted on Eric would be comparatively nothing to cure. A simple detect magic spell to make sure, followed by dispel magic. "You don't mind if I try my hand at this, do you?" The question was directed moreso towards both Colin and Rael than just Rael.
"Of course not." Rehael smiled softly. She knew Eric and Colin would answer the same. Any help was better than no help.
"Great," Tyrin replied, pulling his scroll in front of him. "That means I can blame you if something goes wrong." He could feel Colin's uneasy, somewhat-angered stare at his back. "Right. On with it, then." No gem was necessary this time, the spells were incredibly simple that the scroll could pay the cost itself. For someone who's nor a doctor nor one to jump at the chance of hard work, I'm doing alot of both today... Tyrin pointed out to himself.
Rehael couldn't help but wince after she heard Tyrin's comment about placing the blame on someone else. She knew that woud definitely not sit well with Colin, even if he knew it was only a joke. Death was something the kid understood better than most his age, and Colin would always try to stave it off whenever he could. And if Eric died right now, Colin wouldn't have any real family left...
"C'mere." Rehael took Colin into her arms, hugging him as they watched Tyrin work his magic. "Eric will get better, you'll see. You just gotta trust him, 'kay?" Colin's eyes sank to the floor, and he nodded stiffly. Poor kid...

Stopping a good distance from the others, her hair brushing over her eyes, Raithe gave Will a measuring look with her deep green eyes. She expected some sort of trap or trick hidden behind his invitation, and as such, was resistent to accept the offer. But then her stomach reminded her of the empty void within itself with a wrentching turn, and Raithe decided she deal with any hidden strings when they presented themsleves.
"How could I pass up a chance at a free meal?" Raithe said with a broad grin, with no hint to her previous suspicions. Then another thought crossed her mind. He was a mage, and was probably pretty well off, therefore he must live at least near the higher class, which was always prime for robbing. So not only will she be getting a free meal, Raithe would be able to make a quick coin.

"Very good, I hope you don't mind we leave without Ashen? I do have to start cooking. If you'll just follow me, we'll head off to my home... but I do hope Shadow didn't go too far ahead, Eclipse knows where my home is." William was sastified, finally a quiet meal, perhaps some proper introductions would be finally be exchanged.
Eclipse decided to take in the sights, perhaps it'd do him good. For too long Eclipse had not valued human life, the amount that could be affected by one human life. Of course now his only goal was to protect that which he had destroyed. His feet seemed numb, the smells, sounds a blur. But why was it like this, why did these things have to happen? Women screaming, children crying, what purpose did it serve? Men and boys calling to their mothers, never to hear an answer. Blood spills, lives lost, eyes closed shut for eternity. Death spread, why do only the good die? In this cycle called life, why did the ultimate goal seem to be to find the ultimate goal? Children screaming, women crying, where do all the tears go? God... why aren't you listening?

Shadow just stood there, a few feet from the doors, taking in the fresh air, the sounds of the city blocked from entering his mind. Phyril had taught him how do this fairly early on. To calm the mind. Useful tactic really. It let him think in peace, though really he didn't want to think much right now. Too much information, even if it didn't seem like it. Either way it would be best to just leave it for his subconcious to decipher and then think more in0-depth later, after a good meal. And so he just remained standing, breathing, and thinking about nothing.

Not too far a distance down the desolate street to Shadow's right, a blurred figure - garbed in white robes, with short silvery hair to match - stumbles into an adjacent alleyway. Had Shadow looked sooner, (assuming he looked at all) he could have seen more of this figure, but for now it was too late. They were out of sight. And with their departure, there were no more signs of life in the broken streets of Sharn. Flames still crackled, singing their din of despair, with the occasional echo reminiscent of a scream overheard over the crashing of nearby waves.

As Shadow caught the sight of something moving his head quickly moved to look towards it. This was the first sign of life he had seen in what seemed like hours. Curious he started walking towards the alley, right hand heading towards one of his dirks. Quickly arriving he looked down the alley and spotted a white robed figure, who was, flickering? Curious Shadow moved closer, this man was half-kneeling, and seemed to be flickering - almost as if he were somehow on the verge of being....nonexistant. Getting right behind the man Shadow cautiously reached a hand out towards him and prepared to speak into his mind.
