"Correct, they are." If it was my choice, they wouldn't even be in the same plain of existence. "And those people with animal characteristic, like kitsunes, nekos, lycans, and other people like that are under the third category. Even if their race has the word demon, they belong in this category."

Certain spells do more damage against foes of a certain division. For example, a spell to slay humans will also work on slaying elves. But a spell to slay demons isn't nearly as effective. A spell lethal to lycans is in turn lethal to Nekos. Of course there even more centralized spells that only do damage on a certain race instead of group. But that's irrelevant to my point."

Now it made more sense. "Ah I see. This is for my magic training?" He asks. He was, in truthfulness, anxious for his magic training. He was never really very good... but it was kinda fun.

"You have to know the history before you can use the magic or how will you know when to use it" he said leaning up against the wall. "Thats why you have to learn this stuff. I had to and I dont even use magick" he said laughing.

Max's heart almost leaps from his chest. He didn't realize commander Kai had been there. "Sir Kai." He says and bows. He was more important to the kingdom then he would be.

"Kai, please don't sneak up on us like that." He smiles, obviously a bit startled. "Yes it's for magic training." He sighs to regain his composure.

Kai smiled at the young prince. "Dont worry my prince and as for you Alex come now.... I couldnt have scared you that bad" he said surprised that he wasnt being yelled at for being here. he was sure Alex knew he had come for the Noble ring for Rina so she would be allowed to enter the deeper chambers of the palace.

"I'm not giving you a ring for that half piece of s**t." Alex says in monotone. "By the way, you left your necklace in your room." He tosses it to him, he had to go in Kai's room everyday to make sure his enchantments were holding strong. "I'm sorry Prince this will only take a moment."

Max sat their silently as he endured another one of their arguments. This was actually a common occurence. Alex and Kai disagreed on many things, but they always remain friends in the end... But something was different in Alex's tone...

Kai smiled as he grabbed the necklace. It had a alot of enchantment on it to help Kai. "Well my friend if you dont give me the ring I shall simply acquire it in another means. He said as he took off his own.

"Why do you care about her so much." He groans in annoyance. "Here, I don't want you to give her yours..." He sighs almost sadly. He tosses the small ring right at him. He made that ring for Kai specially, as he was the one who convinced Alex to take up magic in the first place...

Kai stopped and looked at Alex as he caught the ring. "Why not?" he said "Why is it so hard to believe that I may have found love. And by the sliver of hope i have been revieved and you know as well as I do that things arnt going as planned. Alix is withering away...Now I have new meaning a new reason to keep up the cause." he looked at Max. ''Take note of this boy never stop caring about the people." then looked at Alex "All of the people" he said as a blow toward Alex who hated non humans

Alex looks straight at Kai. A glare. His chest hurt, those things he said really did get to him. Even if he'd never show it. It was an attack on his conscious, not his feelings. "You..." He begins, trying to find words to sling back at him But decides that the best route would be the simple one. A few words, yet powerful. "At least I don't go to bed with a whore." He begins with a glare full of venom and spite. "Find another person to help you, as of now. I quit."
