Kodachiku Yeah, there's not a voice that I don't like in the Japanese version of Naruto. Even the creepy ones, and the annoying ones fit the character so I like them. For instance, I think a lot of people may not like Konohamaru's voice, but I think it's really cute. Now the dub is another story. I think there's some good voice choices, but others are pretty horrible. Hmm, maybe it's just I feel that the Japanese version is so perfect that nothing else will measure up. Ok, blurb over. Well, generally, one likes their first impression of how someone's voice should sound or you like what you're used to. For instance, when I watched the english anime, I thought everone's voice was fine, but after watching the japanese one for quite a while, I began to like them more. But when it comes to the manga, I am so far somewhat disapointed by the voice choices. ( except Deidara, when I first heard his voice in 135, I cracked up. It was so oppisite of what I had heard about him and seen of him, so I loved it for the weird-ness. xd ) but I have to say, I'm truly proud of quite a few of the english voice actors. Steven Jay Blum has proven to be a fantastic voice actor and Crispin freeman has always been awesome. Dave Wittenberg is coolies too (he plays Kakashi, Tousen, and quite a few others in various anime)....Actually, I have quite a long list of favorite VOs , so I'll just end my rant here. sweatdrop

I even asked a voice actor why they mispronounce names when I KNOW they know how to say things right, and he said "America" Basically, little kids can pronounce ka-GO-me, better than KA-gome, so in order to sell the merchandise, that's how they're going to say things. He said that drove him crazy, and it drives me insane too. I agree that Steve Blum, Crispin Freeman, Sparky Thorton, Steve Cannon, Vic Mignogna (who I've met several times...just the GREATEST guy in the world) are all just extremely talented guys, but it's just the horrible disregard for the way things are supposed to be said, and changing things like Naruto's catchphrase, for instance. I would rather they DROP the dattebayo and leave him phraseless than add something annoying like "Believe it!" I agree with you as far as impressions, and matching manga voices. Lol, most voices grow on me though. In short, I think America did the best they could with the dub. Mainly that statement goes to Naruto's voice. Junko Takeuchi has such a unique voice, that it was going to be hell to match it. So I think they did a decent job.

Ha, this is turning into a extended rant. *laughs*
Yeah, I know mispronounciation sucks, but they're getting better about it. I think the compainies are realizing that they'd rather deal with confused kids than angry teens with fanfiction rolled up like newspaper beating intruments. xd
Just remember, it could get worse. They could be saying "sas-U-ke." and "ho-kAge" (an 'a' like in cake. and a silent 'e'). That's what keeps me watching it, remembering how bad it could be.
I dislike the girl who does Naruto, I just don't like her voice. It sounds fake, like when the face says "angry ranting" her voice is like "I'm talking slightly louder than before!".

This is all very true! I especially agree with "I'm angry. So instead of sounding angry...I'M GONNA TALK (read:scream)LOUDER!
