Marina was searching for something that made her empty without it. Whether it was a prized possesion, a certain place, a memory, or even love, she searched for it all the same. She heard a distant melody playing; her keen elven senses could detect even the heartbeat of her prey (ooohhhh...dramatic!) She ran like the wind towards the sound. She hid behind a nearby bush, watching the young half-elf play. Wait. A half-elf?! Marin realized with her elven ears, she may as well commit suicide then show herself to him with her pure-elven ears. She hid and pondered. Maybe he wasn't like others. Maybe he didn't care about this race of hers. We all originated from Derris Kharlan, one way or another...

She finally mustered the strength and courage to step out into the open. Marina knew she had made a grave mistake, but right now, it was too late. She turned to the boy and said, "That's a nice flute you have there. It can play really way. Plus, your expertise at playing it is dazzling."

{[ Considering I couldn't find the exact setting, I'll just continue to wing it. It's gotten me all A's in school..... ]}
A purple-haired man walked down a well-worn dirt path. His hair shined brightly in the sun, along with his one red eye. "Aoi sora ukabu kumo shiroku sakimichita omoide no hana...." He stopped singing to smile at the large, brown and white bird perched on his shoulder. It looked back at him, it's bright golden eyes full of life. It ruffled it's wings in a pleased way.
"Sugisarishi ikuta no kagayakeru mutsumajiki katarau hibi,
hoho nadeyuku yawaraka na kaze ni yasashisa kanji tori ni tou...." The purple-haired man stopped singing once again. He looked up at the sky.
"Itsumademo tsudzuite yuku kono michi wa eien no ai....?" Matthew's last words came out in a question, as he heard a battle commencing. "Sora, this doesn't seem right...." Matthew said in his unnaturally soft tone of voice. Sora looked around, seeming angered that his melodious singing had stopped. It shrieked a shrill call, making Matthew look towards his winged companion. His elven ears seemed to lay flatter, as if he were an animal exposed to a loud, frightening sound. "Sora, now, is that a way to act?" Matthew asked, smiling awkwardly at the Osprey. Sora looked around, unnatural golden eyes full of anger, then took off in flight. "Hey, wait for me, Soraaaa!!!"
Sora flew over the area where Mimiru had turned Kratos into stone. The angered Osprey had called out again, it's sharp call cutting through the air. "Soraaa! Come back here, you disobedient bird, you!!!" Matthew called out, his voice still soft. He came running into the middle of the battle field. He started to jump up at the bird, being sucsessful the fifth time. Matthew suddenly stopped, then turned to Mimiru, Genis and Lloyd. A blush suddenly came to his face, to match the emblem on his collar. "Oh....."

Regal sat up, realizing he'd been left behind again. "Dammit! Again?" he exclaimed. He jumped up and started running. Luckily, he didn't have far to run. Coming to a clearing, he found Lloyd, Mimiru, Genis, and a strange boy standing in front of what looked like a statue of Kratos. "Hmm? What happened here? And who's this?" Regal asked, puzzled.

"Kratos attacked me a Genis so Mimiru stoned him."

Matthew looked at Regal, still blushing from embarassment. Sora started to flutter it's wings. "M-my name is Matthew." He said, a meek smile apon his face. "Appologies for intruding on your...skirmish."
