i have an odd question i have this "ring" its odd  any ideas? i think it may be for the battle system

it really does!
Also I have heard about people having some rings for the battle system already. How did they obtain there battle rings because I need to get 1 before the BS starts.

It is my guess that it was a random treasure they received from a floating gift box. I cannot think of another way they would get these rings. It would be nice to get one before the BS starts.

Or it could be random selection form the admins; giving out rings to try and boost some people along the system when it does come out so they can help more people advance. Like a little kick start. X)

I wonder why they would do that though. Wouldn't it be more fair to give everyone a ring as long as the ring's effect is completly random?

That is true. I'm thinking that everyone will be equipped with at least one basic ring. You will have to build from there.

that's like cutting off your arms and legs and sending you into battle of course they give you a basic ring the lucky ones get a per battle ring for increased performance

Hahaha! Wow. I didn't realize this would be brought up.
I was the one that gifted the ring to GildedIceKnight.
My mother had gone to the New York Comic Con some time ago, along with my brother, on a class trip. They visited most of the booths, and I believe Gaia was there as well.
My mom brought home almost pounds of free stuff she got from there.
Three of the things were Gaia posters, along with three Gaia slips.
On the slip was a code, which could be used to redeem 1,000g. So I used all three, and also got ??? rings from each one.
Then I gifted it to two of my friends, one of which is GildedIceKnight.
I don't know what the ??? ring does, other than you can equip it without it showing up.
As all of you have said, it's possibly a ring for the battle system coming up.
