"Saro. And, who exactly are you?" she asked, following him inside, unaware they were being watched.

((Aah, my mistake.. From wikipedia: Quote: The Rook (Corvus frugilegus) is a member of the passerine order of birds and the crow family. The species name frugilegus is Latin for "food-gathering". This species is similar in size (45–47 cm in length) or slightly smaller than the Carrion Crow with black feathers often showing a blue or bluish-purple sheen in bright sunlight. The feathers on the head, neck and shoulders are particularly dense and silky. The legs and feet are black and the bill grey-black. Rooks are distinguished from similar members of the crow family by the bare grey-white skin around the base of the adult's bill in front of the eyes. The feathering around the legs also look shaggier and laxer than the congeneric Carrion Crow. The juvenile is superficially more similar to the Crow because it lacks the bare patch at the base of the bill, but it loses the facial feathers after about six months. ))

"Oh, I'm Ako's father." He paused and continued, "her adoptive father..." He smiled nervously and shifted in place. "Here have a seat!" He offered a chair. "Is there anything I can get you? Do you need a place to stay?"

Nodding in silent thanks, she sank into the chair gratefully. "Umm, I hate to pry, but why exactly would anyone want to take Ako? And a place to stay would be much appreciated."

"You don't have to worry, it's just that Ako has some powers... People want her because she's able to heal people, but some people take it to the extent that she's able to resurrect people if they take enough of her energy. So, the Order placed her in my care... And I couldn't even follow orders, let alone be a good parent." His voice became agitated and his fists clenched up in tight balls of fury.

"You can't be everywhere, it wasn't your fault." she assured him, then added, more to comfort him than from actual knowledge, "And even though I was only with her an hour or so, she seemed like she could take care of herself if she needed to." she only hoped that was true.

Father Michael relaxed and crossed the to the pantry to pull out some pillows and blankets. "If you need something to eat or drink, all the food is in the fridge or this pantry," he motioned to a pantry above the sink.

"Thanks. Do you want some help?" she offered, standing up and moving to him, feeling somewhat guilty about doing nothing.

He smiled, "I wouldn't want my guest to do any work." Although he said this, he still placed the blankets and pillows into her arms. Father Michael, remembering the conversation she had between the half-fox, looked at the sail ship on his matel peice that had the blue flame on the sail. He glanced back to Saro and smiled, "Would you like anything to drink?"

"I'm fine, thanks." she said, before the room started spinning and she leaned against the wall, watching the ground by her feet until the dizziness was gone. Damn it, not again.... What is on those letters that keeps doing this? she wondered, keeping her face emotionless.

Xidun decided to jump in at this point...Or perhaps on, on the roof specifically. He easily jumped and landed on it with an audible thump.

Father Michael, upon hearing the thump, looked up and then back at Saro. He grabbed Saro by the shoulder, "Follow me," he whispered. He opened a door beneath the run into the basement and led her inside. "We should stay in here." He closed it and turned the light on. The room was filled with missing people reports that were taken by a mysterious man that had a blue fame on his left cheek that smoked up onto his forehead. The remainding spaces were filled with holy relics and artifacts that he had collected from his previous travels.

She did as she was told, then stopped when she saw the reports and the single picture. "Where?..." she asked, unable to voice the thoughts streaming through her mind. The flame was identical to hers, and the more disturbing part, he appeared to be elven. A hand unconsiously slipped to her chest, placed on the brand, but it could easily be mistaken for something else, not covering a brand.

Father Michael noticed her trepidation. His mind began to race. "Do you know anything about him! Please! He's the only one I know who could have taken her!" He slipped to his knees and began to shake uncontrollably.
