"That would be fun," Kevin replied, "But don't think I'll go easy just because you're a girl. A win is a win" Kevin gave a smug grin as he turned sideways on the bench seat and leaned back onto it. He laid staring in the sky and moved his arms behind his head. "Of course that only happened until the play got started. Remember, Ms. Jackson seems to tie up any spare time she can. If the school would let her she'd have us stay up until classes the next morning." He laughed again as he watched the leaves from above lightly blow in the wind. Some falling, others persisting. The tree made for a cover from the sun's rays into his eyes.

Kevin looked from the leaves towards Natsuko who was now sitting near his legs. "Yeah that's right," he replied, "Right after classes." He sat up again and scooted a little away from Natsuko so she could get a better seat on the bench. "There, now you can have more than the edge," he said with a smile. "And you have...cheerleading today," he said with his hands near his head like he was trying to read her mind. "I guess that just leaves Thursday open," he said with a small smile, "Shall we have our bout then?"

"Yeah I never was much for the cold weather either," he said feeling the wind again. He didn't shiver but he felt like he should. "I prefer the nice warm weather." He had a big smile on his face, "My parents own a beach house down in California and every other summer we stay there. The weather there is always perfect." He leaned against his arm that was propped on the table. "Aaah," he said as he recollected his memories. He'd be going there after this year is over.

"Yeah you'll get it," Kevin said reassuringly. "Besides you'll be heading up to Japan anyway. Much cooler than any state...maybe not as great though," he said with a small laugh. He lifted one leg onto the bench and rested his head on his knee. She was right, it did feel good to talk to someone who actually had an IQ. He then looked at Natsuko and smiled. "So when's the party?" he gave in.

"Sounds great. So I'll just have to endure you for an hour then, right?" Kevin said with a scoff. He knew he slipped up when he mentioned the party and now he had to try and make up for it. He didn't mind her company anymore but still didn't want a friend...ish. "You really think you'll best me at Tennis?" he asked changing the subject. "Oh this will be good. I can't wait. Five on Thursday then? Or would you prefer something before school?"

Kevin sucked in his stomach from Natsuko's stab. "What?" he asked about her last comment but decided not to elaborate. He then went back to the tennis conversation. "And I've been winning sports since I was three. We'll go before school. Wouldn't want you to lose any popularity by losing to somebody like me," he said with a laugh.

Kevin gave her a look of disbelief. "Fine, if you want to lose in front of everybody then after school it is," he said with a sly grin. He watched Kali stand up and walk around a little. Kevin took this time to move up to the table and lie down again. More room up there. "Of course I'll be in the play," he said like it wasn't a mystery and shouldn't have been a question. "Scouts from many great universities come to the Andrews plays because they are done by the finest. You know that. And I have no doubt that the two of us will be granted the highest ones too."

Kevin shrugged his shoulders. "I wouldn't care, I'll already be graduated then," he said with a smug grin on his face. He knew what she meant but he had all confidence that he wouldn't lose. Maybe a run for the money, but not a loss. "True again," he said smugly, "What's the play this year anyway. I know they don't mention it until it's closer, but you worked in the office over the summer didn't you?"
