I started liking Green Day a year before their American Idiot tour. And I've loved them ever since<3 I collected all their albums and began to wish I had been a fan since the beginning.
At first I was a little unsure about their old stuff.
And I think that the reason why they 'changed' was because no one in the public wants to see family men in their thirties writing and performing to songs about sex, drugs, masturbation and their high school girlfriends.
As for the new album, I love 'East Jesus Nowhere'. So damn catchy. c:<

ive been a huge fan of green day for about a year now but i have always liked them. i cant believe im going to their concert on tuesday O.O!!!! geeze i really need to get a shirt...is anyone else going to a concert??

gawd i wish =p ive been a fan of their music since 4th grade =] the only thing is their new album makes me wounder..are they slipping into the whole "they want me to act like this so we should" thing...i hope not confused , their first albums where amazing and still are. i love them to death and always will heart

their new album is very political but the more u listen to the lyrics to the songs the more u realize how much deeper they are. billie joe did say that he went to the demons of his soul to make that cd... thats why it sounds so dark. dont worry, theyll never do something just because the general public wants them to do it. even after all these years they still stay true to their punk roots. ^w^

ahh i just got their newest cd... i love it so much!
besides that though, the only songs i've heard from them is american idiot, boulevard of broken dreams, and the east jesus of suburbia or something
