Tatoos are one thing i'll never get. I have piercings. Ear and n****e. and im planning on getting more. but tatoos are permanent pretty much. piercings just leave a lil dot when you take thm out and they close up

I know you. Aren't you in my other guild?

Technically it's illegal to give tattoos in my state. The law says something about not leaving an indellible mark on anyone. There's about three or four tattoo parlors though. They make you sign all this stuff stating that you realize a tattoo can be removed by long and painful surgeries (yes, that is nearly exactly the wording) therefore, it is not indellible.

Tattoos are only worse than piercings in that you have less of a margin of error. You can get drunk and end up with a piercing without too much concern. A tattoo? not so.

Especially when people get names or titles like "Mom," "Jill," or "I heart Jared and Subway." But people aren't the brightest, sober or not.

My stedad has a heart tatto on his forearm. It used to read, "Steve & Patricia". They got a divorce, so he blacked out her name and had the write "Ginger" in a new ribbon above the old one. They broke up and he hooked up with my mom. He wanted to get it changed to her name, but she wouldn't let him. smile

Call it superstition, but considering the tattoo's track record, I can see why your mom declined to be ribbon #3.

That's what she said. She refuses to let him tattoo her name anywhere.

Wonder!and
i don't think i'll ever get a tattoo, i change my mind on things so much i would want to rip my skin off. as soon as i'm 18 i want to get a bar through two holes in on my upper ear. bellybutton would hurt so much and tounge would get on my nerves and ruin my teeth. i may get a side lip done, but thats gotten really "emo"

A tongue stud would not ruin your teeth if you wear plastic balls and got it done by a good piercer. Well, the risks are less.
ninja A few of us here have have tongue studs.

As for the double hole through the ear, that's an industrial if I remember correctly.

I'm thinking about getting orbitals in my ears and possibly a tattoo on my back. Though I don't really want to tell many people about it because it's a highly personal design and I don't want anyone to steal it. xp

tsk tsk
Don't you ever do research before undergoing these things?

xp Probably not.

Well, some of the adverse affects of a tongue stud (other then the slim possibility of death due to being pierced in the imporper spot, or infection) there is also the chance that you ruin the enamel of your teeth, chip them bitting down on a ball, and wearing the gumline down to the point that you need reconstructive surgury. Though the later is more for the case of labets then for tongue studs.

I chipped my teeth on my tongue stud. Not very badly, but it happened. That was back when I first got it, though. I just switched over to acrylic studs until I got more accustomed to it, now everything's fine.
