My first Stephen King book was The Dark Half, which now that I think of it isn't really mentioned much. It was an awesome book, but definately not my favorite (The Dark Tower) ^^

carrie. i remember how bored i was. and i thought hey, i haven't read this yet!, going through my step dad's large collection of books. at twelve years old, i finished carrie in a day and a half. after that i was like possessed. within a week, i finish firestarter, the girl who loved tom gordon, and rose madder. these were soon followed by everything's eventual, and pet cemetary. then i was handed THE GUNSLINGER. i was almost fourteen by now, having branched off of king and into feist. i couldn't put them down. i am finally starting the last one, it has been packed away since we got it in the mail, cuz we were sposed to be moving.
anywho, that's not all the books i have read, but that is the begining.

The Gunslinger. My dad gave it to me and said he didn't remember it being all that graphic. I was 11 at this point, and fell absolutely in love with Roland and Jake.(I've never been so happy about my fathers bad memory) Needless to say I had to reread it as I got older. Some of it was a little above my head at age 11. Then I read all the way through book 4 of the Dark Tower Series, Eyes of the Dragon followed, then Wolves of the Calla, then 'Salem's Lot. ANd after that I forget. There was a lot of rereading involved.

The Stand, and I don't remember what after that (I think the earlier ones like Christine or Cujo). The Stand is still my favorite, I've read it at least four times cover to cover.
