That's what I had in mind. The greatest armies in the world may clash, yet in the end, they're just quarrelling children put to bed by a loving mother. Thank you.

I've decided Poltregeists are just parties in the afterlife that get out of hand. 3nodding
Lively Hades
There was a tea-party with a troll, and every madman's soul, and it's underneath a bridge to earth, for what the latter's worth, that spans from the world of the obscure, the only world, that I find pure. It ends at the stuffiest little court-room, full of the dryest speech, Ever ears could con-sume.
Then the moon hit a lofty note on the organ, and the defendant noted, the stars danced. Through it all, the ancestors, listened to the organ-player's rants. A hippie joined the vikings, Nietzsche payed the tithe, And Orpheus wooed a lovely, lady goth who had a scythe!
When the judge on the other side, obviously overlooked it all, the second-sighted acc-used sighed. The gavel's ring was paled, by the crash a dragon-prowed ship begot, and a horde of vikings boarded the stands, with braided-red hair that smelled of pot! On the other side, we find more of the lunacy man savors, and the dead scholars give out party favors! Among them books titled "Roses", and "How to Plant Us," All the way up to the Torah, and "How Moses Inadvertantly Drowned Atlantis!"
And amid it all, Bacchus starts the hub, and when the defendant pleaded insanity, the god suggests he join the club! So Apollo put away his guitar, and started up his golden harley, while The Gentry gambled with the Aztecs, and shared some juice O' barley!
And all but the wrongfully condemned, saw the world pass as tedium, and in the electric chair, there now sat that medium. And from what only he could see, of what awaited, his premature trip to Lively-Hades, was now appreciated!

Wow, it's been a while since I wrote anything, hasn't it? .:I am I:. I am I, This object that is me. Nothing more than Id and Sub-conscious, Bound up and wound up by The Super Ego. Pressed down by The Heavy Hand of Society: An object far before its time.
I am I, This show-dog that is me. Nothing more than An accessory. To be worn with, never alone. Paraded around-- Always seen, never heard-- Waiting for my voice.
I am I, This care-bear that is me. Nothing more than Sponge and Oven, Praise always on my lips. "So strong!" "So handsome!" "How is that I deserve you?" Or is it you that deserves me?
I am I, This spirit that is me. Nothing more than Fire and Passion Wraped in this seething ball Of Fury. A cobra ready to strike! The venom that kept me down Will be the thing that sets me Free.
Who are we? Who are you? Why? For the simple reason that I am I And we will not bend To fit your rules.

.:Rise, Rise:. Rise, Sweet anger. That Dragon that engulfs the soul. Boiling the blood Until like lava it flows. destroy. Destroy! Destroy!
And from the ashes Of all the false pretenses Shall the Pheonix rise. And with it, All the happiness Freedom can buy.

I'm on a roll! .:After the Rain:. The Sky is so soft After the rain has fallen, And the air is crisp After the rain has fallen. You're always there After the rain has fallen, And we're always together After the rain has fallen.
Little drop, Perfect as your eyes, Fall and wash away the grime. I'm clean again! The world is fresh and new! All because the rain has fallen.
Wine of Dionysus; Let me drink deep-- Always. Dig in my roots And breath it all in. Stop and chat a while; We've all the time in the world. Time stands still for this perfection After the rain has fallen.
And the clouds are so inviting After the rain has fallen. And we'll sit and dream After the rain has fallen. Because there's no better place Than here in your deep wet eyes After the rain has fallen.

I've missed you're writing! It was wonderful to read all of them, I can't really choose a favorite. Brilliant! I love how you always pick very powerful symbolism, like rain or the pheonix.

Did you look behind the couch? That's where mine was hiding.
Seriously, though. Sometimes the best way to get the creative jucies goign again is to write, write, write; even if it's all udder crap. Somethign good will come out of it, and then you'll be back on track!

.:Thatching the Lawn:. Dig deep. Your teeth raking across my skin. Pull it all up, This hurt. In mounting piles of shame and guilt, Completly expossed to the world You make it impossible to hide.
And you take it away, all the same...
Gentle hands reach down And scoop it all away. Your hands run lovingly through me.
Why was it that I feared? What did I have to lose From letting go? My mounting shame and guilt, Worn and born like a cross? Did I think you'd liek me less Without all my little troubles?
The grass is always greener on the other side....
The lushest on the block! I stand proudly. I've emerged as this beauty, The power in my hands. Tatchign the lawn is never much fun, But the grass is always greener On the other side.

Thank you Kaity, and maybe we could bring this to the writer's block thread? I think that it should be used for anyone's writers block, not just the one who posted it. What do you guys think? And Jasmine, I was stunned by "Thatching the Lawn." It's just in time for summer too. Just in time for May, in fact. Brilliant.

Don't Open Your Eyes
Don't open your eyes, the wind is too heavy with dust. The earth you needn't gaze upon, but breath the air, you must.
Galaxies of sand rattle overhead, A million facets of silica gleaming like daggers, How a human's mind staggers!
But though ages fly, and howl as they might. The turmoil is a million buzzing fractions of but an hour, and deadly to sight.
So look down, close your eyes. He who is blind to a sandstorm, may well be quite wise.
The wind is gasping, earth is chanting, But it's looking at the millions of facets, through time and truth, that leaves you panting.

I don't know what to think of this one. I like it, but all my thoughts on it are all built up right behind my consciousness. Like a dam! What lead you to write it?
