His head slid smoothly back to her, eyes narrowed as he suddenly realized there would be nothing to prevent her from coming after it now. His kitten had become corrupted a little jewel, trapped in her past and an image that had been twisted from the first, destroyed, further torn from the truth, until at last he had come to his senses in this unusual rebirth. Yet ever this woman had wandered, and now he realized the voices had never ceased speaking to her, and whatever she had done to pull them closer to her, nay… even deeper, inside of her, flowing through her blood, tainting her logic… she had never let go.

It was something he had known, he felt, not that she would cease to live because of his loss, over and again. But that he would someday find the past was ever something he could never have let slide by. People ever feared him. Graceful in every move, there were those that could not help but pursue him. The brashest in powerful notoriety, he was simultaneously a trophy of the world, and a blemish that would never be hidden.

Stepping back, away from Valame’s willful command, he closed his hand about the Black Materia, knowing, with a faint tightening of his throat, that he may have to wound the woman to protect the Planet from her intentions. Yet....

Something was not right. His eyes widened and he opened the palm of his hand carefully, peering at it with a frightened intensity. As his fingers came open to reveal the marble of a thing, it shivered and suddenly… collapsed in upon itself, to a glittering and metallic dust, giving off a light shock that barely stung him as it did so.

For a suspended moment in time, where all he could do was process this information, he said nothing. Then, “It’s a fake.”

So there had been nothing to touch to her lips but a sampling of a deeper kind. She was not sure what such a large bubble of blood would have tasted like, indeed as wine to her lips, numbing the senses after a strong, drunken scent choked her breath. Ah, and yet… she should not have been breathing, should she? Perhaps ‘twas all the better that the slit of which she had made upon herself from her Twin, the dagger that lay beneath her, pressing into her belly a new hole, as a matter of fact, had been opened. Through there poured much life at first… thickest claret and a gorgeous fluid that would deem the animals of the Planet “Breathe!”

And yet… afore all the blood had fallen from her vessel, something more thin flowed from that lightest cut, sealed the edges of the palm shut, yet still sifted out through pores, ever flitting out like whispering wind over the pool of red. And so it consumed the life color, taking up the coating of glossy silver-black that was as silk, and as rain, gently though swiftly gliding upon the mangled body that lay there, coating the gold with ebony of the most glorious light.

Oh the glory as wounds were sealed and the body shivered in the winds that were not there but in the mind. And with gentle an arching of her back, and an arm slid beneath her, fingers tainted with black smoothly caressed the blade before touching the handle in a familiar way. Pulling it from her belly, the darkling liquid leaping as an arrow from her hand to touch and patch the wound upon her belly, she silently retrieved a single blade of the Twins. The other soon was found, weight pressed upon the other palm coated in a phantom shimmering of darkness, and taken into a hand upon which shadow was slowly creeping down an arm to greet and join.

Smoothest breath taken as head was thrown back, weight pushed up to a position, sitting back upon heels with mouth opened to the heavens, ravenous tasting of air and suddenly up onto feet in a twisting dance. Like wind in breathy silence Twins flashed in an arch, beautiful a woman she proved for unlike the wilderness, she was not a backstabber. Twins dove deep, through the heart, through the chest, and her arms hugged him around the shoulders from behind, her cheek resting upon his back, a smile like a daughter’s, so serene when she hugged her father, a protector, with whom her love lay and utter trust was given. Gently she turned to kiss the back of his neck with her lips. Her nose caressed his back with a light brush, soon followed by a hushed sigh of contentment as her head fell to rest upon his back.

Sephiroth choked silently, coughing upon blood that suddenly came forth. And as he tried to touch his hands up to his lips, he felt the warmth of arms holding his tightly, comfortingly to his sides. It was something that would have set a panic in him, had not something in her kiss been so… lulling… soothing. It was made aware to him that her blades had gleamed the eerie green, a faint light before they had disappeared, to completely pierce him through. She was not pressed up against his back, yet he felt that the blades were still too long to not have slid into her breast as well. Yet… the arms that hugged him… were… coated in something that never ceased moving. A river of mercury, simply mingled with a ebon liquid that shone in a more fantastical array of colors than oil.

Kilik was not dead then. And the Black Materia… had not been real. So… there had been… no point to… his life… ever again.

Smoothly the unfelt blades slid from his chest, or so they must have, for suddenly he was falling, and he could not see, was not sure if even his eyes were open. Yet… there was… once again… peace.

With solemn a touch, smoothly either Twin was turned inwards. In a single motion, both blades were twisted in her hands and she effortlessly slid them into the bottom of her arm, the ebon essence coating them, moving, eager to devour such blood and take it away within her.

Without a glance to Valame, or one to Kashiko, she turned her head to where Rude peered, and raised an eyebrow… all while her eyes were shut without a care for sight. For there was no need when even so she did not speak or breathe just yet.

A faint motion, and her body leaned forward as though she wanted to take a slow step forward. It was feared, almost that she would fall if she continued to lean forward in such a manner. Just suddenly then a twist of thoughts and the black encompassed her in a cocoon, bursting into a fountain from which a bird of sorts burst, clouded grey to match the heavens to which it disappeared, the black following as strings before it was soon lost.

To live, burn out, die. Nothing held sacred, not even the Self. Each being had filled a once-was-someone-else space. So had he. They were all once-was-someone-elses. When death so warmly embraced a soul, placed gentle kisses upon the lips and whispered “Come away,” he heard no denials. And in the shadow they left on the earth, stained in blood, filth, or merely cradled within the comforting embrace of sheets or old age…another rose to take their place. Until the former was entirely forgotten.

Rude was…weary. It had been a difficult task, to remain so still, so silent for such hours, never once shifting even as each fiber of his being screamed, begged, all but howled to the heavens for release. Replacing someone. Oh-so-easy. His thoughts were bleak, muddled. Thick with the promise, the coy head tilt of slumber just before it glanced away and laugh the laugh of a nymph. Denied.

Because he denied it himself. It had been easy to remain awake as Valame and Sephiroth had quarreled. A hunted beast is every weary when beneath the den of the predators. Who had he once-been? Who would be once-him? Don’t think. Words in his head, a voice of logic. Don’t think. Don’t think. Just move.
Move.

And then, curiously, he did not move. Did not rise. Yet…Kilik did. Kilik did, and sent death nipping at the heels of Sephiroth. Drove blades cleanly through the man so many feared. So many saw him as many things. And such a slight wisp of a woman, had just…ended him. He wasn’t sure, in that moment, who or what terrified him more. Sephiroth that had once been, that was, that may not be again…or the woman who felled him.

And so when such stunning, chilling eyes turned towards him, as if seeing him, clearly, truly seeing him better than anyone ever would or could or ever would again…he shivered. And remained silent. And, for the first time in a long while…uttered a soft prayer. For whom, he didn’t know. For everyone, he supposed. Even Sephiroth.

Valame was so caught up within her own anger to even realize, Kilik was truely not dead. Her piercing grey eye's looked into her beloved's for the last time, those entrancing crystalline green orbs. Her lips parted slightly as she opened her mouth, almost as if to protest once again, yet instead her hand reached up to cover her mouth. The blades that reminded her of a serpant, drove deep into the chest of her beloved, her body beggining to tremble with anger, fear, hate...

"You...b***h.." She began as Kilik moved to turn away, removing her blades from his body, Valame letting her blade hit the ground moved to grasp him in her arms, her hands trembling as she clutched him close to her. Valame's eye's glistened slightly as she looked over his body, the crimson liquid was warm against her body as she attempted to apply pressure to his wounds.

"Everything...it will be okay. I promise..." Her words were near broken as warm tears rolled down her cheeks. "Please...please, forgive me...I...didn't mean it." Perhaps Valame was lost, in a memory..power hungry just like he was long ago. Confused, as well. I didn't mean it.. In all reality, she was a mere child, scared to lose something she loved dearly. Closing her eye's she rested her face along his shoulder, her lips gently grazing his cheek as she laid a gentle kiss upon it, she truely was sorry.

Move. Go. Running. Running more. Then still more. Counting by minutes at first, then half-hours, then hours. Hours that merely existed within the mind, and what felt like such small eternities were merely minutes. Merely minutes spinning and wheeling away from him, beneath his feet, shattering, before being reborn again and… His own breathing, filling his ears. Pounding. His heart? Maybe. Maybe just his feet on the earth. Maybe both.

Just move, just move, just move, don’t think. Just move.
Just move. So when at last he does reach them, there is only a blank, expressionless stare as he regards Reno and Ferret alike. “Go. Get out of here.” Voice flat, featureless. Mission complete. Mind whirling. A storm hung low over the world. They say it never rains. It never rains.

Before Rude had arrived, he had felt a terrible quake in his entire body. It had not shaken the ground, but it had most certainly shaked his spirit. He grabbed the binoculars and looked to the scene.

Kilik. Sephiroth. Death. And...and Rude was...

Having dropped the instrument, Reno had already been up to his feet and was ready to grab Ferret by the arm when Rude had ran back to them. He took Rude's arm instead, knowing Ferret could move on her own. Rude didn't look too well. Didn't seem...all there. And he was afraid Rude wouldn't be able to run back to the heli on his own. So he helped him by dragging him by the wrist.

I don't need an explaination(sp? x.x) to understand what the ******** just happened here... And it was the truth. The sigh Reno had seen was so mind-boggling, his frightened body felt like it could run forever. They needed to leave. Get out. He didn't care what happened to Kilik now, not right now, Sephiroth was dead and...and he didn't know what that meant. What might happen. There could be...a catastrophe. He was sure the first time the man died, he died with a bang. But this time...well, this time it could be worse.

[Just to let you know, Gali, Vincent was not the father of Sephiroth. o_o Hojo raped Lucrecia. She was his lab assistant/flunky/whatever, and he raped her, and injected her womb with super duper genetics, creating the super Sephiroth. A monster. >.> It wasn't Vincent's child to begin with.]
PostPosted: Thu Oct 19, 2006 8:28 pm

[HE DID NOT RAPE HER! Or at least, I'm a firm believer in that. So Lucrecia had a thing for Vince. Who cares! It happens all the time. She wanted Hojo. Like FIYAH WEWT! COME ON BABEH! Dude. Just cause Vince is sexy dun mean that you've gotta be so like "Yar, Hojo raped her, dude~".

LIES! I REFUSE TO BELIEVE IT! She seemed pretty happy to meeee~]

[XDD Well, from what I've read and believe, it was rape. Maybe I can find the site I read it from...mmm...or maybe not. xD Either way, it wasn't Vincent's child.]

[You're all nuts. By by by, Hojo is insane fun to rp. And Ferret didn't precisely say that. She said it "would be like," not "is." I think. Anyway. It's too ******** early, man. XD]

Rude barely registered the rather firm, nearly desperate grip placed upon him. Indeed, it was something, to his mind, so soft and slight it may well have been entirely within his mind. All the same, he didn't attempt to protest as he was, rather comically, in truth, hauled along by the efforts of Reno.

Perhaps he was, in truth, no longer classified as precisely stable. Indeed, his mind contiuned to return to a single, fixed, near hysterical thought. If ever there was a classic moment in which the sentiment of "What the ********?" could truly be the only helpless sentiment supplied to desecribe the whole of devastation of body and mind and all that surrounded such, rather than being uttered on a whim, surely such was now.

He glanced back at Ferret, mouth opening as if to tell her to hurry the ********> up. But said nothing. Not even on the few moments in time where his feet caught on things unseen and threatened to cause him to fall.

What fresh hell is this?

[xD Well, incase she didn't know, by the by.]

Having to, more than once, help Rude from falling completely on his face, Reno was close to falling himself. Rude was much heavier than he had expected. But his desperateness to get back to the helicopter and get the ******** home pushed him far more harder than anything else at that moment.

More than once had Reno not known what was going on, but this was one of the worst trips he'd ever ventured. Drugs was nothing compared to this. If he'd been on anything, it wouldn't surprise him if he would start frothing from the mouth. Though, the red head hadn't touched such a thing in years...so why start thinking about it now?

The copter, only so far, so close. He still had a death grip around Rude's wrist, making sure the man didn't lose balance or lose whatever sight Reno thought he had on the bald man. He needed to calm down, chill out, get a grip on things, he usually wasn't... He was out of it. Clearly.
PostPosted: Fri Oct 20, 2006 9:38 am

For a moment more, Rude put up no resistance as he was lead along much like a child by a clearly disgruntled and impatient adult. But such lasted for only a few minutes, before his heels were set and his weight pressed firmly upon them, slowing the combined momentum and causing his form to lurch to a stop completely. The overall effect was not unlike a mule doing much the same. It was clear Rude had no intention of taking a step further.

It was also evident that he was focusing on something with a strange intensity, shaking his head slightly. It took him a moment to become somewhat assured that the faint ringing was not, in fact, solely within his ears. Shaking his head once more, he curtly, yet gently all the same, drew his wrist out of Reno's tightened, and frankly, far from pleasant, grip.

"Your phone is ringing," he said, tones calm yet impossibly distant. Spoken with calm authority nonetheless. Better answer it. Had Rude been able to read minds, it was of a certain he would have smacked Reno for even so casual and vague a thought as drugs. But he was not, and so remained ignorant.

And still slightly dazed. Although not quite as much as before.

[Your damn phone is ringing. Rude will not answer it for you. <3]

[Oh really? XD]

If Reno hadn't been so wired on adrenaline, he wouldn't have spun around as quickly as he did when Rude stopped so suddenly. He almost yelled, might have even screamed, but didn't. His phone. Ringing. His confused, bewildered look turned to that of confusion and then to understanding. He reached down into his pocket and withdrew, almost violently, his phone. He wanted to...apologize for the death grip he had on Rude's wrist, seeing as how it hurt even his own hand, but decided, for the moment, to merely answer the blasted phone.

And that helicopter was so close...

"Hello?" Reno's voice was a bit raspy, maybe from the cold, but he cleared his throat and said again, "Hello?"

It had better be important.

I’ll admit I was more than a little skeptical at first when Sephiroth approached me to be one of the people to go on this so called ‘rescue mission.’ The guy was making the whole thing sound just a little too simple, after all he was a First Class SOLDIER. And I couldn’t help but feel suspicious, uneasy. However, almost immediately I pushed my doubts aside, and something else took place in my heart. This was Sephiroth, the Sephiroth I was talking about. Sephiroth. The same Sephiroth that, along with Zack, I had formed some kind of bond with while working on, this mission. I could trust Sephiroth, but could I trust myself? My lustful desires? My want, my thirst for power?

I felt for the him, no matter how I refused to admitt it. We had been through a lot together. Besides, at the time, I had no reason not to trust him. And trusting someone, something I hadn’t done in quite awhile since the training programs in SOLDIER had taught you to always watch your back. If only I’d known how wrong I’d been. The one time I finally decided it was safe to start putting my complete trust in someone again, it turned out I shouldn’t of put my trust in that person at all.

I was a mere pawn in a bigger part of the plan. I was Shin-Ra's pawn for too long, I let my emotions take the best of me and got caught up in the race, in all my desires and wants. Indeed, Sephiroth showed me what it really felt like to be a true woman. He made me feel wanted, desired...but there was also evil there. I should have stayed away. Yet, now I mourn over his lifeless body...his unmoving lips, he truely is gone. No, he isn't, Shin-Ra can fix this. Perhaps, we can move on...or perhaps, I should let the past rest.

Valame still clutched onto Sephiroth's body. The warmth was fading from him, he was long but gone. Though she refused to admitt it, the true Valame, the Valame that had been but 17 when she entered SOLDIER remained inside. Pulling, begging for her to turn, walk away. But the emotional attachment, kept her in place.

"I love you.."

Were the only words that whispered from her crimson lips as she gently pressed them against his own cold ones. It was time to go...It was time to speak with Rufus. Deals had to be made.

(( Posting here I guess xD))
Elena smiled a bit as Reno picked up the phone. She waited for a moment or two before pulling out of the garage.

"I don't want to be the bringer of bad news, but yet again something went wrong. I recieved a text message from Tseng. He said to abort your mission, get the President out of ShinRa and take him to the Cetra's home, and this all has something to do with Reeve."

Letting out a long and stressed sigh she glanced at Rufus who was still out of it.
"Meet me at the Cetra's house then. Oh and if you can also, try and round up some of the other Turks. I would...but I'm busy at the moment with the President, things aren't really looking up." Her voice actually sound shakey for once in her life time. As if she were fearing it was all comming to a horrible end.

"Yeah, no s**t," Reno said shakily. "We'll meet you there..." and then he hung up.

"We need to go to Aerith's house," he said, rubbing his forehead as he turned away from Rude and headed back to the copter. "Ferret has her own ride, I'm assuming, so..." He would text the girl when he got inside the helicopter.

Pulling himself inside the machine, he waved his hand in gesture for Rude to hurry up and get inside. He wanted to leave. His partner didn't seem too thrilled or stable, either, so he wasn't exactly thrilled that he had to pilot the copter, but hell, it was better than someone in a worse condition than his own, right?

Reno moved away from the open door and went over to the pilot's seat. He took his phone out and texted Ferret, whether she had followed them or not.

"If you have your bike, which I'm assuming you do, drive it to the Cetra's house. Aerith. Sector Five. Bring any other Turks you see on the way."

He waited for Rude to get inside before he started the helicopter up. And when he got inside, he'd explain to Rude what Elena had told him.

Already finished our god damn mission. Already know what appened. Kilik is ******** insane. She was pretty much dead, but then...wasn't. Sephiroth is dead. Valame is going to explode, for all I ******** know! And it wouldn't surprise me if Sephiroth's body detonates or something like a ******** bomb... Jesus tap dancing christ, sometimes I wonder why I even chose this job.
