Annuminas - Streets

Elendil the Tall

Elendil dismounted his white stallion named Rohar, adressing Loswen;

"We were descending the street over yonder when we heard cries coming from this area. It was mere chance, but fortunate nonetheless."

The King had been thinking seriously in the cleansing of the slums, where they were now. Filled with rogues and ruffians, they were."I shall deploy a company to this section of the town, when I return. Hopefully, such situations shall be prevented so, in the future..." The king neared the ruffian's hand, and lifting his foot, he stomped it with all his might, turning it into red goo with bone chums. He shook his boot, and proceeded to his horse.

"The escort and the supplies needed are already at the gates. Some of my servants went to your homes, to fetch all luggage. We shall leave as soon as you are ready."

Nolah Pennbeleth

Nolah nodded with a shakey sigh of relief. "I am well now...I did not mean to cause such chaos. I was on my way to the stables and then he just began following me. He asked my name and would not leave me and then he lay hold of me and Loswen came soon after and then you. I'm so glad you came." She tried to calm her racing heart and used a free hand to rub at the place where the man had gripped her. She knew it would bruise though she did not reveal this to Morthol. A comforting hand stroked along her back.

Still shaking, she glanced down at her clothes. "Oh...I'll have to change before we leave...I-I thank you My Lord." She made a hasty bow with her head towards the King and then moved closer to Morthol.

Loswen Starlight

Loswen did not look for the hand on the streets. She smiles at Nolah, laughing slightly.

You are more fortunate that you think. I drew my blade with no intention of using it. I have a tunic you can use in my bag until we camp this night.

"Well then we must be blessed by some lucky star, although I thank you for the offer of the tunic I am wearing a dress and perhaps merely a tunic would be indecent. I'm sure Larion can pull something out for me and I can be changed as soon as we return to the courtyard." She smiled softly as the adrenaline slowly left her body.

Nolah Pennbeleth

She recieved one last kiss from Morthol and then bade his good-bye, and promised to return shortly. With one last thank you to everyone she retreated down the small street and disappeared into the chaos of the courtyard.

Twenty minutes had passed before she returned in a pale dress-more suitable for riding than for social occaison. The wool was woven carefully to keep out the wind and fur lined at the sleeves and neck. Her cape she had thrown on as well. "I am ready My Lord to leave."

Borders of Arnor-heading towards Annuminas
Araloth awakened with a jolt. She assumed she must have just nodded off quickly while riding-that is, until she glanced around.
"Mmm...I must have slept for longer tham I assumed. Seeing as I don't recognize this area, I can probably safely assume I have entered Arnor."
Rummaging in her pack, slung over Rocalevons neck, Araloth removed a piece of Lembas, and munched it as Rocalevon galloped along.

Nolah Pennbeleth

Nolah was quiet for a moment as she sought Morthol's hand between them. Once her fingers were intertwined with his she felt completely safe. "I hope this won't cause a delay to anything." She said softly. Larion had fussed over her like a mother hen until she was assured that the King's Guard would be present during their voyage. It had taken a good portion of time to explain to the woman that she needn't accompany her back to where Loswen and the other's waited. "I suppose we're all set then?"

Lowsen Starlight

Loswen, on horseback by now, surveys the group reparing to leave. She had changed her tunic, and was now trying not to yawn watching others.

She fails, and stiffles a yawn.

Nolah climbed upon her mount with a small hand up from Morthol. Quietly she scratched behind his ears and then smiled when she caught Loswen's yawn. "Do not worry friend, we will be leaving soon." She called with a smile.

Loswen Starlight

Loswen smiles at Nolah, streatching her arms above her head.

It's not the time that worries me. I wonder how long it will take for us to get there.

"According to our King we will be traveling roughly a week. Give or take a few days of course. I believe it will be the give though as we have a baggage train." Nolah replied. The wind was picking up a little and she took a breath and patted the grey flank of her horse.

The Realm of Arnor- Fast approaching Annuminas
3025 23 October

Lady Araloth Vinyare

Rocalevon flew over the hard ground like the very wind, and Araloth could tell that they wre making good time, and would be within sight of the walls of Annuminas within the day-perhaps, with luck, beore darkness fell, and the orcs could give speedier chase.
"And what then should I do?" She spoke aloud, but to no account, for none were near save for Rocalevon.

Annuminas - Main Avenue
3025 23 October

Elendil the Tall

All were ready. Thirty minutes after the thug incident, everyone was ready to depart. By the gates, almost the entire population of Annuminas prepared to greet their King, and wish him a safe journey.

And they set out. From the Royal Stables into the avenue, the majestic company rode, slowly, as if undertaking a parade. The citizens threw flowers to the path, creating a beautiful tapestry with each step of Elendil's horse, that was ahead of all. Beside him was Morthol, his faithful squire, an aura of charisma and courage surrounding him. Riding behind the King were thirty of the High King's greatest knights, five of them escorting three female riders; Loswen, Head Healer of Annuminas, Nolah Penbelleth, lady of Evendim, and Isilien Andunel, Princess of Lindon, daughter of Gil-galad.

"We ride southeast, towards Mithlond. Forward!!" He hollered, and his horse hastened forward.

Annuminas-within site of the city
3025 23 October

Araloth pulled Rocalevon to a halt. There, in the distance, she could see the walls and towers of the city of Annuminas. SHe started towards it, but then stopped. Her roving eyes had spotted a -procession- of some sort leaving the City.
"Ah, then I should move towards the gates, but not enter the city until later." she remarked, presuming-incorrectly- that this was a festival or something, for her ears could hear cheers, and besides, it was a large procession.
Rocalevon cantered down to where Araloth could watch these goings-on.
