Lane could only be described as a Tazmanian Devil when it came to the remodel. It wasn't pretty. But she was getting things done. The basement was first. After the basement was more than just rubble she set to work. Z pretty much gave her an open budget and liberty to do whatever she wanted, so she did just that. As she rummaged through the house she found many old mementos of her and Z. Old paintings and photo albums. He'd even kept bullet shells. Lane then noticed the videos he'd made. "Yes. I don't enjoy it, but I've guess I've gotten used to it. Besides I doubt you would've stopped even if I begged you to." Lane pointed out still all smiles. Her eyes slightly widened at his later statements, but she supposed Z and Charlotte would find out eventually. Curious she decided to watch them. Sure enough it was her learning about chi strikes and failing miserably at them. At least Z never lost patience with her. A part of her did feel guilty she wasn't spending a lot of time with him, but at the same time it seemed like he kept pushing her away. Did he really have five years left? He couldn't. After all he was the infamous Black Zombie. How could a little disease just stop him. It was unfathomable.

Lane pondered Charlotte's words for a moment before replying. "It's your call. I can just take the truck over. Besides I'll have to do a lot of back and forth trips. I'm done with the basement though. That was the main thing. I'm somewhat positive this place won't collapse." Lane told her ending the walk down memory lane and made her way upstairs."Thanks for the help Charlotte. This place was certainly in need of a tune up. I'm sorry you almost got blown up while I was away. Please forgive me...Now if you'll excuse me I need to check up on Z." With that Lane waved goodbye to her friend and headed to the hospital.
