Making sure that everything was in proper order, he nodded. "Alright. Let's go."

Elizabeth bowed her head and twitched her hands, sending the runes swirling around them. With more difficulty than usual, she picked out the runes for travel and location. Then, they were gone, mist quickly filling their space.

Phear was barely aware of what was happening around him. Voices were distorted and his vision was blurred. Why? Why would Hunters be here? I just got here, which means...... They were already here.....

Wildfire walked through the open gates to the cemetary. She looked up at the moon and prayed for strength. She walked in wearing her long hooded witch's cloke. She made a b-line for a certain grave. Once she was standing in front of the freshly dug grave, she pulled down her hood. She put her hand over her mouth and tried to hold in the tears.
The Tombstone Read: Here lies Sapphire Moon. The daughter of Merdian and Alabaster Moon. Twin sister of Wildfire Moon. " When we look up at the moon we will always see your face in it's light."
Wildfire fell to the ground in front of the grave in tears. She covered her eyes with her hands and wept. When her tears slowed a little she lowered her hands to her lap and spoke to the tombstone, "I'm so sorry Sapphire. I wish I never would have gotten angry at you that night. Why did you go after me that night? I would have come back, I'd never leave you, ever. I wish I was able to protect you that night. Did that guy even know who he shot?! Did he know that you were important to people? Did he know that you were gonna be a writer? Did he know what you'd be leaveing behind? NO! he just pulled out a gun and shot an innocint girl who was out looking for her idiot twin sister! He didn't even care who he shot, so long as he could get rid of all the witnesses to the crime he commited. You didn't even know what you were seeing. You just wanted to find me and bring me home safely. It's all my fault, Sapphire. I'm so sorry this happened to you." She stood up and wiped the last few tears from her cheeks. She dusted off her cloke. "I promise you,Sapphire, I will find him and i will let him know who's life he has ruined. He will pay the price for what he has done. This I promise you." Wildfire dropped a black rose on the grave and walked away.

((Non-Character Plot Post))
The ground rumbled as the earth of the grave of "Matthias Wolverton" bulged upward. With a hideous screeching sound, as if two jagged edges of the universe were being scraped together, a bleached, writhing form fountained out of the grave. The thing screeched again as the late afternoon sun hit it, and it dove back into the soft loam of the graveyard in a blur of glistening, pulpy white maggot-flesh. The ground bulged upward again briefly before falling back down, and then there was only a faint rustling rumble of the creature's burrowing, heading toward another one of the graves.

Mortimer frowned pensively as they approached the graveyard in the air. "That's odd...." he mused. "The ground's disturbed, almost like a corpse rose, but it's too... round." He narrowed his eyes, straining forward until it looked like he might fall off Draco's back any minute. "Can't be a Burrower..." he mumbled. Once they'd descended to several feet above the ground, Mortimer stepped off Draco's back, landing in a crouch with one hand on the round. There was a slight rumble, and then a faint rustling sound—almost like a giant hand moving through a pile of loose dirt. Mortimer's eyes widened. "Oh, hell..." he whispered, running a hand through his hair. "It can't be a dhole... can it?"

WIldfire hopped of Draco and stood next to Mortimer on the ground. She looked around at the cemetary. It looked so different from the last time she was there. "Dude, what's goin on? This place is totally trashed." she said. She couldn't focus on what Mortimer was mumbling because she wanted to go check Sapphire's grave. She peered in that direction and said quickly "I'll be right back."

Absorbed in the scene, Mortimer didn't answer for a second. He jerked his head up, saying, "Wait, it's not—" but broke off when he saw Wildfire heading away already. He sighed. "Just be careful, and yell if you see anything weird!" he called after her before starting to poke around the disturbed graves.
((When Wildfire reaches Sapphire's grave, she'll find it undisturbed))

"Huh." Mortimer paused near an undisturbed grave. The graves to either side were destroyed, the headstones sunk into the ground, but this one grave was pristine—in a weathered sort of way. "He crouched down to examine the grave, then froze as a design on the headstone caught his eye. "It can't be..." he breathed, before another sudden quake threw him to the ground. "Damn!" He spat out a mouthful of dirt and grass. "Wildfire, be careful!" -------- The rumble hit the area by Sapphire's grave much stronger than it had the dormitories, throwing Wildfire off her feet. The ground of the grave two plots over bulged up, moving toward Wildfire and her sister's grave.

Halfway to his feet, Mortimer heard Wildfire's yell. "Dammit!" he cursed, scrambling up and bolting in the general direction of her cry. As he ran, he fumbled with something in the pocket of his jacket, finally pulling out a small pendant of some strange blood-red crystal. Clutching it tightly, he vaulted over the last few gravestones and crouched as he hit, skidding to a halt by Sapphire's grave. He glanced around quickly, his eyes darting in quick, fluid movements as he assessed the situation.
"Damn," he muttered as he saw the mound of earth moving toward them, "it is a dhole" He glanced back at Wildfire and saw her foot caught in the ground. "Wildfire, can you work yourself free? Holding this thing back will take a lot of concentration." As he spoke, he looped the chain of the pendant around his wrist twice, before taking it in his hand and letting the pendant dangle. As the sunlight hit it, the pendant seemed to glow slightly, while the air around it seemed to darken—almost as if it was drinking up the sunlight that hit it.
Bracing his feet, Mortimer turned to face the oncoming rush of earth. As it neared, he spat a sharp incantation. "H'kath ngat!"
The bulge of earth shuddered, as if it had struck an invisible wall, before it resumed its approach—albeit more slowly, almost cautiously.
Mortimer backed up toward Wildfire as he launched into another incantation. "Iä Nodens! S'suurth h'khuun mnath v'haar qathuuris vor, Ph'thuum vn'glebrith h'khathr vossr kal. Mnab s'thaghn vathos phruii, k'kro tlashari-kam H'ko sh'shuurm phthashi-har. V'drii sh'kothi kal v'klii, Vn'glebrith hokhru-voth h'kai!"
As he reached Wildfire's position, tendrils of black mist began to rise from the ground in the cemetery. They began as wisps from the graves, but quickly thickened until they seemed almost solid. The light from the setting sun grew dim before being completely blocked out in the area around Mortimer and Wildfire. "Stay close to me," Mortimer said softly. He muttered a short incantation before adding, "And if you have anything that lets you see in the dark, use it now."

Wildfire looked at Mortimer like "Dude? rlly?" and she said "Ummmm helloooo, Dragon witch, i have night vision and ohhh yeah you know-," she snapped her fingers where a simple flame started, "I can make fire. So like, you know, instant light." Then she looked at the ground and brushed the dirt from her boots. "Sorry for being sardonic, i didn't mean it, i'm just peeved at what ever this thing is because it made me fall into a hole and there's a scratch on my boots, and i take good care of my clothing, this is just insulting. GRRRRR, can i kill it?" She took a step back from Mortimer, took a deep breath, put her arms out and let out a large, animal-like yell as her arms were covered in fire. She was like a walking candle.

As the light—dim but noticeable—from Wildfire's flames spread, they caught a glimpse of something huge and worm-like that screeched before diving into the ground. "Don't make light, that'll make it worse!" Mortimer hissed, just finishing the incantation and doffing his coat to try and smother the flames. "As long as you have night vision, that's fine." He took a deep breath and began to calm down. "Sorry, I should have been more clear. Just... don't make any light, all right? And we'll see about you killing it."
She's just a kid, he thought to himself. Hell, she doesn't even know what it is, how is she going to be able to kill it? He shook his head as if to clear it.
"Focus on staying close to me right now, I can hold it off until it gets angry enough to come up." He turned back to face the mound of earth, which had begun circling the pair of them, and began to murmur another incantation, moving his hands in front of himself as if gathering invisible threads together and spreading them out in some sort of pattern.

Wildfire closed her eyes and focued on her surroundings, she killed the flames on her arms and turned on her Dragon Sences, using her accute hearing and better sence of smell she made a mental picture that was almost as accurate as the one she has when she opened her eyes. She sat down behind Mortimer and took deep breaths. He probably wondered what she was doing. She put her hands and felt for the worm"s warmth. She sensed it's size and it's route it was taking, it was making a circle around them. She whispered an incantation. And sat on the ground behind where Mortimer stood. She was rooted to the spot. She sat there for a few minutes. "I need to go underground."she said after a few minutes of silence. Her eyes were still closed and her nails were digging into the ground.

"Bad idea," Mortimer replied, not taking his eyes off the moving mound of earth. "C'mon, you b*****d..." he added under his breath to the dhole. "It'll be aboveground soon enough." As he spoke, he extended his right hand down, palm facing the ground and fingers spread. He raised his left hand, still holding the pendant, and muttered something in what sounded like Arabic.
There was a faint "thrumming" noise, and the heat signature of the dhole in Wildfire's senses became distorted for a moment.
"There we go," Mortimer said, a faint note of satisfaction in his voice. He smiled coldly. "Only way to get us now." He turned to Wildfire. "I have an idea for how to defeat it, but I'll need your help. You game?"
