Suboshi had read his brother's mind perfectly. After he heard Kouji's question, Amiboshi had no intentions in going back to that nuisance of a town. But he also did not want to leave the man helpless. However, it would see that Suboshi had it taken care of as he gave out directions. Amiboshi remained silent, give a small smile and a nod to agree with his brother's words.

After watching Kouji walk away, following the directions, Amiboshi turned to the other. "Shall we continue on our way?" he asked with a warm smile seeing that they were done with that.

Amiboshi
Suboshi had read his brother's mind perfectly. After he heard Kouji's question, Amiboshi had no intentions in going back to that nuisance of a town. But he also did not want to leave the man helpless. However, it would see that Suboshi had it taken care of as he gave out directions. Amiboshi remained silent, give a small smile and a nod to agree with his brother's words.

After watching Kouji walk away, following the directions, Amiboshi turned to the other. "Shall we continue on our way?" he asked with a warm smile seeing that they were done with that.

"Yeah," Suboshi said, as he watched Kouji walk away, "Let' get going."

He turned and resumed their journey. A little bit further and they would be near the stream. After that there would probably be a village. If it was a big enough village, there might be an inn for them to get some food and maybe even stay the night.

"Too bad it's this cold out," Suboshi commented to his brother, "Or we could sleep under the stars tonight..."

Yui was quick to welcome the wife back home and thank her for allowing her to stay here as well as compliment her husband but nodded with a rather understanding look when the wife mentioned having to go back because some things still needed to be tended to. She did find it quite strange that the woman wouldn't look directly at her but perhaps it was something that the women did over here...a culture thing. Once the wife went back to her chores, Yui sat back and relaxed, not realizing just how deep in thought she had got until the farmer's comment snapped her out of her small daze. She lightly nodded her head at his question but her eyes darted away at his next few set of questions. Would he even believe her if she told him how she ended up here? She had a rather hard time believing it herself. "Well...to speak the truth, if I told you anything than I highly doubt you'll believe me if I'm having trouble believing it." Yui honestly spoke, unsure how the farmer would take it if she told him how she ended up on the road. She couldn't exactly lie to him, no not after all the kindness he showed her.

"Well then..."

He looked at her quizically for a moment, and then with a hearty smile.

"At the very least it will make for a good story, no? Why not give me a chance?"

His smile was very warm, like the nearby fire. He made it sound that if she told him and it was reasonable..he would take it as it was...and if not...he would enjoy it for its entertaining value, like a storyteller telling a good story. Truth can often be more amazing than fiction, especially when the truth would seem so, regardless of its merit.

Genrou wasn't dumb but he wasn't the best at thinking up excuses either. He was tempted to just run for it but he wasn't a coward. 'Well I guess trouble's inevitable,' he decided with a grin. "Ever heard of personal privacy? If you don't knock it off with the questions I'm gonna flame ya!" He held his tessen at the ready. 'Okay Genrou maybe that wasn't the best idea,' he thought, 'drawing attention to yourself when there are guards nearby is not a good way to discreetly steal from the palace.'

Ah, Tomo thought, there must be a connection between that strange fan and flames.

He quickly came to the decision that being set ablaze was not something he desired for his immediate future. If this man could somehow manipulate fire throught his fan, he was a worthy adversary, and not one to be taken lightly. Tomo quickly cast yet another layer of illusion. He fabricated another clone of himself, standing exactly where he stood. He created a few more illusionary guards to slowly approach the scene. The real Tomo cloaked himself in scenery and faded back closer to the shogun, hoping to hear Nakago's input on the scene.

Tomo's slight retreat had caught Nakago's attention, and this stranger was becoming more interesting by the moment...simply by his demenour and the fact that he was not trying to get away, but more standing his ground in a situation that to a normal person would be horrible odds. Perhaps he was a rebel, perhaps a slaver, who knew...but it was becoming very interesting.

"Stay"

He ordered the convoy and respective guards, who were probably under the same impression of the situation as were most of the crowds, who had now dispersed.

A small jump and he was on the ground, a gracefull landing, turning up a little dust, the other guards mearly watched..unsure of what wasgoing on, due to their lack of mental perception.

He stepped up next to Tomo, then a single step ahead.

"Not your average traveler making a ruckus in Kutou..."

He smirked.

"I think he is looking for a fight...We should not dissapoint him."

He smirked.

"I think he is looking for a fight...We should not dissapoint him."

Tomo smirked, "Indeed not, Nakago-sama."

In the middle of the street, his illusion self spoke again, "I'm afraid I still have a few more questions for you and," he paused, "I'm gonna have to confiscate your fan."

That ought to get a reaction, Tomo thought, judging by the way he so clings to it.

Oh confiscation of the fan, it's just not done!

Genrou's eyes narrowed at this statement. "You were warned," he growled with a grin spreading across his face. "Sorry if you don't like barbecue. Rekka..." He raised the tessen. "Shien!" He swun the tessen forward careful that he didn't yell the word too loudly so that enough fire to cause injury shot out but not death, well so he half-hoped anyway. 'Draw a little too much attention to myself if I kill the guy, not that I haven't drawn a lot already. Oh well, mistakes do happen.'

He turned to dart off with his lightning speed not bothering to see whether the guard lived or died or even miraclously dodged the fire but Genrou doubted he would. 'Now for a quick exit,' he thought with a smirk.

Kouji walked and walked for what felt like ages. He passed a few scattered houses but didn't stop until his stomach gave a woeful cry. He looked down at it. "I'm sorry about breakfast but be patient," he requested. It growled angrily as if to curse back. "Fine, I'll see if someone has something to spare. Sheesh Genrou is probably going to go nuts." He walked up to a farmhouse and rapped the door.

Would like it to be the house Yui is in but I don't mind

Tomo allowed his clone no reaction to the flames erupting from the tessen. He had hoped to get a response of shock, but the bandit did not even bother to witness the damage he had done.

He is fast, Tomo thought, too fast for a normal man...

"Nakago-sama?" he asked, wasting precious seconds waiting for instruction.

heh, Kouji-kun is a long way from the palace XD!!!!!!

"Well......I suppose you do have a point there." Yui hesitantly spoke, giving the farmer a faint smile and decided to give in since the man seemed so interested in hearing her story that would probably sound like some sort of tall tale to him but like he said, if it was too unreal to believe than he would still find it interesting to hear. "I'm not from anywhere around here since the city I come from has no small nearby rural lands such as this. In fact, I've never heard of the country Kutou before and I find that odd that my school never taught me of such a place existing. One minute I was in my own kitchen, reading a strange book called 'Universe of the Four Gods', which spoke of summoning beast gods and being granted the power to make all ones' dreams come true and the next thing I know, a strange blue light flashed out of nowhere than here I am. I know all of that sounds a bit gibberish but it's true. I'm unsure how to get back home and my parents are probably worried sick about me right now but it seems I'm stuck here until I can find my way back home." Yui softly concluded in a worried tone as her eyes sadly gazed into the flickering fire. She wasn't expecting him to believe her, she hardly believed herself. It scared her deeply that she was in some unknown place and would probably never find her way back home. There had to be somebody that could help her get back home if not....what was she to do? Thinking about what to do seemed to only exhaust her but the rapping sound on the door was quick to gain her attention. Who would be visiting the farmhouse this late at night? Perhaps it was relatives or someone the people knew.

"Oh I'm sorry, what is it you'd like to discuss?" Hotihori told the soilder to walk with him. " What is it that is bothering you?" Hotihori couldn't really reconize the soilder, but he just thought that maybe he was new. Hotihori told him to eat with him, since that was what he was going to do that anyway.

Chichiri nodded and followed the emperor. For some reason he felt like he was digging his own grave.

"Forgive me heika, I bring ill tidings," he began, "the seiryu seishi are on the move. I..." he trailed off as a servant pulled out a chair for him to sit on. There was no way he could explain and keep his disguise. Well, here goes nothing no da. He remained standing and waited until most of the servants were gone before continuing.

"I'd like to offer my humble apologies sire for deceiving you. I'm afraid I am not a soldier in your army." With a flurry of pastel smoke the illusion around him fell. The monk promptly removed his mask and bowed before the younger man. "I am a servant of Suzaku like yourself. I am the celestial warrior Chichiri. I took this guise because it was the only way to reach you."

Chichiri waited and prayed the young man understood his predicament. The emperor looked like a kind man...right? And as a seishi, Chichiri was needed to summon Suzaku...right? Therefore the emperor couldn't really kill him...right?
You could still go to the dungeons no da, a flat mental voice told him.

Soi lay asleep. The day's travel had taken more of her energy than she had anticipated. Earlier that evening she had learned more about her hostess. Natsume was her name and she was the kind of woman that had children but no husband for them to call father. Tomo would have made some tasteless comment about if he were to find out. Luckily the extravagant pain in the neck would never find out.

It was hard to tell if it was day or night in the little room since the only window was caked with dirt and cobwebs. The pitiful meal Natsume had given her was hardly enough to ease her hunger but Soi was used to small rations. She took what was offered and did not ask for more, choosing to sleep it off.

A shadow slipped into the room making slight scuffling sounds. The gleam of metal caught the filtered light and neared Soi's exposed throat. Green eyes snapped open and the blade slammed down. The lightning seishi scrambled out of the way and the sound of tearing bedding filled the room. Natsume raised the weapon once again, but Soi was ready. Static built up between her fingers and shot out at the woman. It hit the older woman directly in the chest and knocked her clear off her feet. The redhead wasted no time, she leapt off the bed and dealt the woman a quick blow to the head.

"Curse these peasants," she growled and picked up her things. This place was no longer safe.

The farmer listened intently, not saying a word as she spoke, his expression as neutral as nuetral could be. When she finished, he started to speak.

"Well...I have heard a legen-"

A rap at the door caught him up short.

"Well..I supposed i had better get that. Don't go anywhere."
He chided, in as much of a joking manner as he could.

He got up slowly and headed for the door, his wife watched from the other room, through the doorways, out of sight but still able to see the front door. She was worried...they were not supposed to come until tomorrow...and they had not been expecting company.

He opened the door slowly, Sizing up their guest.

"Yes? What can I do for you?"

The spectacle before him intruiged Nakago. The flames consumed the 'guard', and the foreigner was off like a shot. He closed his eyes and sent out his life force to the seals above the gates of the City, channelling through them, using them as a conduit. He would be cutting of traffic leaving Kutou, but he did not care. It was one thing to maintain a barrier around the palace, even just as an extension of his will...but the city was another story. Even using the seals as conduits.

"He will not leave the city. Find him and bring him to the southern gate. I will have the convoy move there."

Tomo would have an easier time chasing himn down, though if he was more than just an ordainary man, he could be pinpointed by his life force. For now...they would do it the old fashioned way.

"uh..." 'Sheesh he looks poor,' Kouji thought feeling more reluctant to ask for food. "Uh...oh I know!" A lightbulb almost seemed to flash above his head but before he could utter his excuse his stomach gave a loud and woeful cry. "Ahem..." He clutched it. He really needed food but he could wait until he returned to the city surely.

There was another furious growl as his stomach demanded food. "Kouji say something," he hissed to himself. "Can I er...have directions to Kutou?" he asked weakly. Yes he did know the way but he couldn't think of anything better to say. His stomach gave a cry of angrer and defiance. "I can't ask for food it'd be wrong," he muttered down to it.

Genrou leaped across the rooftops for a while until finally deeming it safe to crash to the streets below and sprint across him. 'Kouji where the hell are ya?' he wondered. 'This plan has definitely taken a turn for the worse! Still, I'm not a failure, I'll go to the palace once they forget about me.' He zoomed past the people in a blur.

A good while later he slowed down and ducked into an alleyway to pause for a minute. 'Bound to have lost them now,' he decided. "Now how am I going to find that stupid sidekick of mine?!" he cried aloud.

"It will be done," Tomo acknowledged Nakago's orders.

He began running in the direction the bandit had gone. At the same time, he simlutaneously ceased his previous illusions, and created several new ones. He fabricated several clones of himself, each dressed differently, and sent them running in different directions. While running, Tomo took on the difficult task of looking for the loud-mouthed foreigner with his own eyes, and through the eyes of his clones, which he could see in Shin, the clamshell.

There was something usual about his prey. That kind of speed was not natural, and Tomo sensed something about it, though he could not quite put his finger on what it was.

Where are you? He he had seen the bandit jumping rooftops, but in a brief second Tomo had taken to check Shin, he had lost sight of his prey.

Amiboshi turned his head to look at his brother as he continued to walk. He then gave a weak smile. "Yeah, that would be nice," he responded with a peaceful sigh before looking up at the sky. Amiboshi had always enjoyed being out in nature. But Suboshi was right, it was too cold. And there was no need for either one of them to get sick.

"Hopefully we have enough money for an inn," he commented, pulling out the small coin pouch he carried along, taking a peak at the profits the two of them had earned from working random jobs in the villages.
