'Right now im off to go find out about getting some arrows.' Tristan thinks to him self as he heads to his house. 'Or maybe I should just sleep...' He thinks as he slowly opens the door to his small studio apartment. "It's like a jungle in here!" Tristan laughs out.

Saline walks around town eying every individual. She switches from person to person, studying them. She follows the ones she thinks may have potential. Saline decides ton targeting a male with low levels of intellect. She confirms with herself, “Yes, that type I suppose would be the easiest to manipulate” She finally decides a bar would be the easiest place to find such a person.

She finds and enters the bar where she had first met Tristan. Her eyes once more glow before she enters. After spending so much time deciding on her prey, it had gotten to be late. It was about 6:50 P.M. She casually walked in to the bar and across to a high stool at the counter. She ordered a shot of straight rum, downed it and turned in her seat to eye tonights' turnout.

Tristan sits in his room with a stare at his sword. All that he could think about how in the past he had killed so many. 'But those kills had to be made. For the sake of Mark...for the sake of Isolde...For the sake of Galahad. Thats the one person he still had. Galahad, poor poor Galahad. He is the true hero in this story. He fought even when he had nothing left. Even honored with fighting along side the formidable Green Knight. I'm such a reject.' Tristan says to him self.

Saline picked out a man, who apparently had been there since noon. he was obviously drug by now. The owner was insisting that he leave immediately. Saline walked over and caught the man as he tripped. "I'll take him home." She stated, "he won't be back again tonight." She put his arm over her shoulder and walked him out the front door. It was amazing how fast the streets cleared after dark in this city. "Corrupt buggers are at it again." She mumbled.

The man occasionally spouted such things as "Your a nice gal taking a guy like ma home." or "maybe you could come drinking with ma tomorrow?" After a couple blocks the man passed out. Saline cloaked herself in darkness and preyed on the unconscious man. She bit in to his flesh and lapped up the hot red liquid. She touched her fingers to the wound as she finished and healed it. She whispered, "Forgive me." She left the body and went to a pay phone to call the doctors' office she had visited earlier that day.

Tristan stands up, and walks to his sword. He picks it up as though it weighed a ton. As he walks twards the door, he drags his weapon accross the floor, leaving a trail of scrached wood. At this very moment, Tristan's eyes reeked of the intent of killing. Tristan is no longer Tristan, but now The Hunter.
"Galahad. I...must...find...her..." He calls out to his bird. "I will find her...and kill him. I can no longer put this off. His blood must be spilled. It's the only way I can be with her again." He kicks open the door running out as he does so.
As he continues down the street, he notices a fragrence in the air. "Galahad...That smell, I know it too well. Some one was killed." He tells Galahad as he heads twards the fragrence.

"Why are they not here... Those bastards..."

Malakai walks across the torn and corrupted city, grabbing snippets of newspaper and other refuse to ascertain the exact state of affairs. Yet, his quarry is nowhere to be seen. Completely vanished, even though it seems that their grand scheme for this useless city has come to pass.

If everything that they wished for has come to fruition, why are they seemingly out of the public's eye? They can't have possibly expected someone like me to return. You can't plan for that kind of contingency. An old foe raising from the dead isn't really something one can plan for.

He crushes the old newspaper into a ball in his hand, then looks up from it into the busy street ahead.

He scowls disgustedly.

Fine. So the cowards will make it more difficult for me. So be it. My revenge shall come soon, for they only prolong the inevitable.

He leaves the worn newspaper on the ground, then walks away from the cafe to try and find some other clue on the location of his enemy.

:: ::

A few hours later, darkness starts to come, and he simply finds himself wandering around the city once more. He opts to take to the alleyways with the approaching darkness. No need to rial up the locals, that's the last he needs right now. He passes by a bar, then enters the alley.

Oh? Hello there.... What's this...

He eventually comes to a body. Not all to surprising, knowing this city, but... enough for inspection. As he leans closer, a smell he has yet to breathe in for a while floats into his nostrils.

A blood demon. Just great. Looks like they *DO* have a reason to stay out of the public eye after all. They've yet to remove the demon presence from the city. I see now. This makes things much more complicated.

He thinks to himself for a while, until he makes a startling realization. The demon isn't GONE yet. "WHAT? Damnit. My senses have gotten dull." He growls to himself as he looks around for the culprit. His eyes land on a phone booth, with a seemingly young woman inside. She has yet to notice him, so he takes to the cloak of shadows and begins to approach her.

Let's see if the demons here have changed any since my last visit

He grins. Friend of foe, either way this should prove to be quite interesting.

Saline waits as the phone ringings. The young man answers the phone, "Emergency clinic. How may I help you?" Saline takes a deep breathe. She answers, "I'd like to report a medical emergency. There's an unconscious man at the corner of Eel and Moore St." He's very pale. He's obviously been drinking and even though I can not find a wound, I think he's lost some blood. I would examine further but I don't want to move him. Please hurry!" She heard the young man scribble something down as he responded, "Help is on the way. Thank you for calling."

Saline hung the phone up. The man had a much better chance of surviving now that help was coming. He was just lucky that human blood was so filling and that she was not a vampire. As long as he received help quickly he would be alright.

Tonight Saline was relieved and she would not have to hunt again for quite some time. She turned around and exited the booth. Something wasn't right. Her senses told her to disappear fast and she did just that. She once again cloaked herself in darkness and disappeared into the shadows. She fled the area, rushing to return to her sanctuary deep with in the forest. “I'll meet up with Tristan tomorrow.” She reminded herself silently.

As Tristan runs down the street, he smells three seperate scents. One is clearly blood. The next, overlaped with the bood is a familiar scent. Definitly one of the two feline women he met earlyer. Although, he could not tell wich. And the third smell was foul. It reaked of the sewars of the town. The vial stench was very upsetting to his nose.

'Galahad, I know not was this scent is. Shall we fare it or flee?'

'Personally, Tristan, I would stick around. It might help your cause.'

'You're right Galahad.'Tristan speaks to his companion telepathicly, a tool to the typical ranger. The two of them skidd to a halt at an allyway past a bar. Sure enough, there was the bearer of blood.
"He lives." Tristan says to himself as he steps over the body twards the opposing street. Whatever this entity is, it was definitly still in this area. Tristan grips his blade as he slowly heads twards a lone phone booth.

The blood demon fled.

It was to be expected. His scent always has been strong, even if cloaked. A sharp, honed sense would usually pick it up. As it would seem, the female had enough power to notice his approach.

Heh, well, I was in the mood for a chase anyway. She might be able to give me my answers, be it through force or word.

But just as he prepares to make chase, he picks up something else. Something completely and utterly foriegn to his senses. He traversed the world prior to the shortcomings that he came upon at that dark time, but never yet has he felt that particular aura. Oh, he needed to look further into this.

Oh, but next time that blood demon uses the shadows to escape from me, I won't be so generous and allow her to leave. Fear the shadows, demon. Beware the night. You may be able to use them now, but you have yet to deal with the master. I *AM* the shadows, fool. There's a damn good reason why they tried to dispose of me in the first place. I will find you later, and you can only hope to not be an ally of my foe, or you will be the first to fall.

He abandons the approach of the famale, and fully envelops himself in the shadows. His form dissapears, and the shadows in that alley seem to get a little darker, just as the form of a man and a bird enter the alleyway.

When Tristan enters the allyway, he instantly knows exactly what happened here. He could smell it, and the four mice next to a trash kcan wont shut up about it. The other scent had escaped into darkness as they put it. They also said a woman had drank the injured man's blood not long before hand.

"Galahad, what do you see?" Tristan calls out in a wistle to his bird.
'Not much Tristan, it seems to be getting darker though. I don't think staying here is in your best intrest anymore.'
'Right Galahad.' Tristan says as he pulls out his sword, which emits a light glow. "I don't wish to fight you creature. You arn't exactly the type I like to deal with."

A sinister chuckle seems to eminate from the alley walls.

"Ah, how this age interests me. So many of you supernaturals exist despite their efforts. They try to exterminate you like so many others, but yet like roaches you people exist. Not to mention the fact that for two times in one day i've been detected. How times have changed. Then again, maybe i'm just getting rusty. One can really never know."

Another dry chuckle echo's through the alley, as the shadows seem to concentrate on a wall opposite of Tristan. Archs of black mist flow around him, as his bleak form begins to compile out of nothing. After a while, the spinning shadows slow down, and a black figure becomes visible.

He steps out from the shadow, chains forming and arching around him, dragging on random surfaces, and merging with his body.

He bows deeply.

"Greetings, supernatural, I am Malakai."

Tristan matches with a bow of his own, keeping his eyes on him at all times.
"Malakai, very well met. Are you friend or foe, or neither? I appologise for inquireing so early on, but i'm afrade I have a date I must keep." Tristan wistles for Galahad to come down to him. "And why do you call me 'supernatural?' I have not done anything that is out side of normal human behavior. I just seem to be gifted with sensitive senses." Tristan smiles out.

Malakai grins widely

"The way the world see's it, even the small amounts of abilities you do exhibit would make you supernatural. It is not what you view of yourself, comrade, that makes one an oddity, but what others view of you"

He takes a few steps further, then begins to fidget with his chains.

"I'm sure that there are many people in this... area... that would simply love to eradicate anyone who is different. Be the difference small like yours, hidden like that lady whom I had to let escape, or somewhat more... Blatant, like yours truly. Difference scares the common person, which makes them have a drive to kill that different being. It's simply human nature. A lovely little curse, if I do say so myself."

He turns his eyes to the glowing blade.

"Mind you, if you flash that lovely little trinket around like a baton, i'm sure you'll get all the proof and negative attention your heart desires. Even if you are still human, which you happen to be, you still have that little power you grasp tightly in your hand, and mind. Eh?"

"But, I will hold you no longer from your "date". It would be rude of me. But, I have a feeling that we'll be seeing much more of eachother in the near future. When that time comes, I wouldn't mind taking a look at that blade, time and circumstance permitting."

He bows again and begins to walk back towards the wall that he origionally emerged from. "Oh, and as for your earlier inquiry of allignment... It remains to be seen. Fate permitting, it would be interesting to have such a comrade in arms"

He fades into the wall again, but instead of the alley growing darker, they seem to travel away at a great speed. But, before the shadows disperse all together, another phrase echoes through the hall. "You'll have to pardon me though... I tend to enjoy making rather extravagant entrances to those who detect me. Consider it a reward for your efforts."

Silence covers the alley.

Now... Enough of me indulging my ego... Where ever did that demon go?
PostPosted: Fri Nov 03, 2006 10:01 am

Tristan stands fairly confused about the whole ordeal with the very polite shadow...thing.
"That was odd." Tristan says out loud as he starts to walk out of the ally way. "But in away I feel fairly comfortable about it.

Speeding through the woods Saline continued on ward to her little sanctuary. She kept silent until she emerged from the forest in to a clearing. She looked upon the ruins she called home. To the humans governors this was an evil place. That notion had been past down to the people. Humans are easily influenced to hate something they don't understand.

Saline gazed upon the ruins. Then She hopped along the pillars up to a tower made of stone and over grown with vines. She entered and walked over to her bed made of moss, long grass and hay. She hated giving into her cravings but at least it was better than losing control later. This time she was able to satisfy herself with out costing someone their life. She let herself fall on the soft bed and rest her eyes. "Tomorrow everything will be better and in the coming week it’ll be as if it never happened."
