He shakes his head softly sitting across from her his pale eyes locking with her own. "Yes well from what I have heard he would have been present had he not been given information of her death by members of the order of the ancient ones and put himself to sleep for they wished him out of the way, or I have no doubt they both would have joined your cause, that is in fact why I seek the stone, to separate LiNeeerafe from Aluana and sway her away from Death Kissed if I can."

Rawlin smiles sadly. "And hence you give yourself away as Adrian." She does her best to relax in her chair as she listens to the fire crackle cheerfully at her back for a moment. "Please do not blame poor Aislin for the lies that were decided upon to be fed to you. She has a weakness for love and those who are in love." She laughs softly before looking at her hands in her lap. "LiNeeerafae's side was chosen before the lies were told and so my heart is torn. I have shared your beloved's bed on several occasions but Aislin is my dearest friend. I am all she has and so have chosen to remain at her side."

He shook his head softly. "You'd have known me if you'd have looked closely the moment I arrived I look too much like my father who I still believe is most likely just using you for something but that is neither here nor there, and I do blame those that lied to me for they have cost much, I found out recently just how close I was to finding LiN when the lies were told to me and it is because of that she is where she is now, and if your friend that brought me here played any part in those lies or their being spread then I hate her as well." He stands and turns his back to the woman, "But if you'll not help me then I have no reason to stay here any longer."

Her anger starts to rise as it always does when her friend is talked of negatively. "Aislin would not have told such lies to you. As I said, she has a soft spot for love and those in love. As she ages the weakness for such things grows. And I hope you are wrong about your father." She stands slowly, as if her age is finally catching up to her. "I gave him my heart long ago and can not take it back now." She laughs and it is full of self loathing. "That must be why Aislin enjoys my company so and why she stayed away when I mourned his loss..."

He shook his head and rolled his eyes. "You really are a dragon you didn't hear a word I said, I said if she took part in the rumors which by your accounts she didn't so I have no ill will towards her, and as far as my father goes I really don't give a damn if I'm right or not, as long as he stays away from me and those I care about he will get to live, now if you'll not give me the necklace I will take my leave for he is approaching swiftly and if I am still here when he returns I will kill him."

Slipping past him, Rawlin opens the door. She can see Aislin wandering back into town. The opposite way of the poor woman's home. "Will you make sure Aislin gets home then? The poor dear is wandering the wrong way again." The dragon knows that her friend's age is catching up with her. Poor thing should have put herself down for a couple of centuries long ago to recharge herself. Or found someone to share the long centuries with. Honey brown eyes turn to her departing guest. "Also, do tell LiN that I am sorry for not helping."

"And why should I do these things for you when you refuse to assist me?" He countered before exiting her apartment and catching up with the other vampire. He gently cleared his throat and smiled softly at her. "Your friend would like me to see you home m'lady."

Rawlin shuts the door with more force than she means to. With a growl she turns and storms into the kitchen. Grumbling to herself, she starts bustling about the kitchen.
The Thirst clenches her stomach uncomfortably. Aislin looks up to find the one she escorted to Rawlin's house. She blinks at him for a moment before looking around and realizing she is going the wrong way. "Ah... Well, perhaps that is best. Thank you."

He shakes his head softly. "Why don't you feed regularly like the rest of us?" He asked as he gently as he turned her around starting to lead her back towards her own home. "Your friend was less than cooperative I'm afraid." He sighed sadly.

Aislin blinks up at him for a moment before looking down the road before them. "I am past the point of having to feed so often. Tonight was my night to feed but.." She laughs softly. "Rawlin's power filled blood calls to the Thirst, especially this time of year." She looks up at him again. "I am both sorry she didn't help you and glad that she did not."
Rawlin puts down her glass without drinking the contents. Sighing in frustration, she sets her hands on the counter on either side of the cup, hanging her head. She can't believe she let the little whelp get under her skin like this.

He shakes his head softly as they walk. He cuts his hand and holds it out to her. "Well you can take some of mine, and I swear to you I only intend to use the stone to free LiN from her binding to Aluana and get her away from Death Kissed but your friend refused to listen to me, will you help me?"
Vlad appeared behind Rawlin. He shook his head softly as he scented his son. "Well I see the news I bring has already reached you my love, what is it that my wayward son wanted from you?" He asked softly.

Aislin's pupils become pinpricks as she looks at the blood offered her. Question. She must answer first. She has to lick her lips before she is able to talk. "Your LiNeeerafae owes Death Kissed's leader. She owes him even more now that he has found you for her. She will not leave until she feels such a debt is paid. I will speak to Rawlin on the matter, though, but she will resist now that you have made her doubt her mate."
Rawlin doesn't bother to lift her head. "The necklace for LiNeeerafae and to alert me to the fact that you are using me. He says that you use all those you supposedly love. Gets under your skin, your son."

He shook his head softly. "One should always doubt the intentions of Vlad Tepes, if she does not then she is a fool." He offered his bloody hand only to retract it from her for a moment. "And you do not know my LiN as well as I do, I can can get her to leave Death Kissed, but I need your help, and I don't mean speaking to the dragon, take me to her hoard please." He begged looking into her eyes and offering his bloody hand once more. "Haven't you ever been in love?"
He sighed shaking his head softly as he stood facing her looking into her eyes. "Yes he does seem to have a natural talent to get under the skin, as far as using people goes, I admit I used my son once in the past used his human blood to help take over a city, when he found out what I was up to he grew resentful and left, that is the root of our conflict, and so now he believes I use everyone for my own gain, when I do not, but I cannot force you to believe me my love."

"No, I have not. Ever." Her eyes return to normal and Aislin takes her control back. The Thirst cramps her stomach uncomfortably. She takes a few steps away from him before pointing at him. "You go too far. Perhaps it is your intentions which should be doubted. Only one person has ever known the way to the hoard and that is the dragon herself. Even if I knew the way, I would not take you. The necklace is not the only thing rumored to rest there and fate is not something I wish to tempt. It would do you well to heed my warnings, boy, for if you somehow get her to take you there, you will indeed be tempting fate." Her whole body is now trembling with the force of her Thirst, but she will not give in, has never given in to it.
Rawlin lifts her head just enough to look at him, a scowl marring her features. "Do not, Vlad. Do not remind me of our love when I am so upset. If you do, my instincts will bury my anger and it will slowly eat at our mating bond. I do not want that." Her honey brown eyes become tinged with red. "What am I supposed to think though? First you come back and make your intentions on having children very clear and then your son tells me that you are using me. Of course it has upset me." Sighing, she hangs her head again. "And he knows what I am."

He growls loudly and shakes his head his anger rising which is never a good thing, for like his father he is unpredictable when he is angry. "I would not only tempt fate for the one I love, but I would gladly slay the fates themselves if she needed me to, for that is love, and if you've never felt it then I pity you, and will bid you good evening you may find your own way home." He growled stalking away.
He sighs and hangs his head. "I do not want our bond damaged either Rawlin, and I understand you are upset, I just wish there was something I could do to reassure you. And as for him knowing what you are I honestly believe that your secret is safe if I know my son he would only use that information if he thought it would somehow help him in his quest to free LiNeeerafae."
