Though she knew that the creature wasn't in the least bit phased by both her own and Matasoga's shots, but also saw that it had been injured by Adustes' blade. Capitalising on this, she quickly loaded another bolt, took aim, and shot, praying that this time she was a little more successful in her endeavour.

Furian, drawn by the sounds of battle, came upon the clearing where the creature he had sought now stood. From the edge of the treeline he surveyed a strange scene. Six creatures seemed embroiled in combat with the foul little man that had stolen his sword. The little man was currently being flanked by a man bleeding from the shoulder and what appeared to be a magically animated sword. The master of the sword could be seen working the blade from the shadows a few feet behind it. Two others, a woman and a half dragon, were loading crossbows near the middle of the clearing. Why a half blue would choose such a tactic was beyond him, perhaps he was allowing the rest of the creatures to fend for themselves. Testing to see how his group would fair without his superior strength aiding them.
As his eyes moved on he spotted two other females, one stood in the middle of the clearing brandishing a morning star, a deep cut across her legs. The other, a minstrel, played an instrument from behind a tree, for what purpose he could not tell. They had the creature surrounded and outnumbered yet there was barely a scratch on him and two of them were wounded. Either the little man was stronger than he looked, or they were simply weak. He would find out the truth soon enough as he had no intentions of letting the thief escape him again.

The redcap ducked to one side after Vellek's strike, getting itself out from beneath the mace that'd come down on its head. It gave a yelp as Eliae's dagger and Kal'ara's bolt struck its side. Neither projectile punctured its hide, but the flames from both scorched the small man before they bounced away. It spared a second to turn a baleful glance to the women, as well as Matasoga, before turning its attention back to the more immediate threats.
It lashed out at the sword hovering before it, the flames of its own weapon flaring in response to its renewed rage, but the weapon passed through the dark blade as though slicing through nothing but air. Frustrated that it appeared unable to affect this blade, it resolved to go after the spellcaster next. But for the moment, it would dispose of the annoying human behind it.
It quickly turned and gave a vicious swing at Vellek's chest, immediately wheeling around again without regard to its success -or lack thereof- in attacking the mercenary, concerned only with keeping the summoned sword from striking at its back.
It heard a sound at the edge of the clearing but paid it no heed, attributing it to the crossbow-wielding woman due to its proximity to her.

Again taken aback by the diminutive creature's erratic actions, Vellek didn't see the attack coming until it was too late. He put up his arms in an attempt to intercede his maces but, unused to as small an opponent as he was facing, his forearms took the blow, rather than his maces. His bracers managed to soften the impact somewhat, but the blade still cut deep. Though now ruined by the creature's attack, he was grateful for the protection the armbands had provided. He was certain the strike would have severed his hands, were it not for them.
His grip on the maces tenuous, the mercenary grunted through the pain and stepped in to attack.

Adustes' sadistic grin widened as his conjured blade cut into the redcap's flesh, his wide eyes focusing solely on the splash of crimson oozing from the wound he had caused.
"More," he breathed in Sylvan, drawing a disconcerted look from his opponent. "More blood, more pain!" He directed his blade to attack again. The miniature dragon's head hissed and spat, crossguards shaped like bat wings flaring menacingly as the weapon twisted in midair and lashed out at the redcap.

EDIT:
Vellek brought up his heavy mace to chop down at the creature's head, but it easily dodged. His light mace came in to hit a kidney, but the wound he had sustained stole his strength, and the impact jarred the weapon from his hand. Caught off guard by the resurging pain, the rebounding strike with his heavy mace came nowhere close to hitting its mark.
Adustes' grin turned into a scowl as his weapon's slash also failed to strike the dodging redcap. He cursed at the creature, the sword's pommel adding its hisses as the redcap sneered triumphantly at its enemies' failings.

Vhael'iss was too absorbed in her song and in the redcap to sense the newcomer's approach, but it was just as well. She could not afford to lose her concentration now, even though she knew that she was not making a great deal of difference... She could not even make the little man pause long enough for the others to pull ahead in the fight, but she would do what little she could.
"More! More blood, more pain!" The words cut through her thoughts sharply, and the girl's eyes flew open in surprise. She knew immediately that the hissing exclamation hadn't come from the redcap, though it came from that direction- it didn't match the confusion she could feel from him, so who? Not Vellek; she could see his pained expression even from where she stood, and that left... Adustes. The woman stepped quickly around the tree until the shadar-kai was in her line of sight and her eyes widened at his wicked grin.
And then, she lost her focus. The redcap's bloodlust had been nothing extraordinary, filled with excitement and a wild desire for blood and violence, but she'd felt it before and had been unimpressed. However, the powerful mixture of addrenaline, pain, and pleasure that washed over her then left her fairly staggered. She didn't know why she was so surprised- after all, she knew from her books that his race often used pain to strengthen their connection to this realm, but knowing and feeling that kind of emotion were two different things entirely. She had never felt a bloodlust like this before... And she'd not expected to feel such an intense pleasure. It was... amazing.
Suddenly the realization dawned that she was no longer playing and she cursed as she set her bow to strings once more. So much for not becoming distracted...

Once Eliae's hand had wrapped around the handle, she was up once again and making her way back to the redcap. Instead of charging, however, she simply walked over to it, standing near Vellek once again. Raising the morning star over her head, she quickly brought it back down, aiming for either the creature's head or shoulder.

((Listen check to hear Furian: 5+4=9))
Matasoga faintly heard a twig snap behind him and turned to look, seeing nothing immediately. He peered into the darkness for a few seconds, disregarding the redcap who seemed to have his hands full with the other members of the party and who seemed impervious to his attacks. He knew that the biggest contribution that he might make to this fight would be to spot an on-coming enemy.
Slowly, his pupils dialated, and contracted, the plates and lenses shifting to allow the form to be made out and Matasoga's blood ran cold. Before him know was the exact description given by untold numbers of the dying, many of whom had been men under his command. There was no mistaking that the one before him now was the same bloodthirsty savage animal that was helping the barbarians fight.
Matasoga immediately thought to plan his next move accordingly.

Furian saw the blue regard him with caution, this was easily understandable as they could be fiercely territorial. With this in mind he gave the half-dragon a wide birth as he moved to intercept his target. Once he reached the little man he attempted to grab him, if successful he would try and wrestle his sword away from the wretched little thief.

Edit: He had not had experience with fighting such a small creature before so his attempt to grab the quick little man failed monumentally.

The redcap was fairly surprised by the bonk it took to the head. It had felt the weak strikes from the male human behind it, and heard the sound of one of the maces falling to the dried leaves of the forest floor. This impact had come from a different direction though, so it assumed the source to be the other human, the woman. The humans posed no real threat to it, not nearly as much as the black sword that hovered before it, but they distracted its attention from the true threat.
It was annoying.
Deciding to deal with the pair for good, the diminutive fey began to turn to face them when it noticed another figure running up to it. Its eyes went wide as it recognized the gray... thing, it had encountered in the forest. The creature it had stalked for a day before stealing its sword. It though it had lost the creature quite some time before coming across this group, but the thing had apparently continued the hunt, and caught up.
The redcap gave a fearful screech when the thing's claws reached out for it, wildly swung the sword and disrupted the newcomer's attack, slicing a deep gash into the creature's arm. Emboldened at the ease with which it stopped the gray creature, the fey's expression turned from terror to one of devious revelation. It swung its stolen blade at its new enemy, hoping it would put this creature down quickly so it could return its attention to the caster who'd brought that wretched black sword into existence. Its second attack to the creature cut nearly to the bone in its leg, but the third glanced harmlessly, though still forcefully, off the newcomer's breastplate.

Vellek was shocked to find the gray creature running up to join the fight. Where he closer to the thing, knowing not what to call it, he would have moved to attack it, expecting it would probably opt to aid the wicked little man. He found himself thankful it had nor entered the melee beside him, as its first act upon arrival was an attempt at the little man. That fact shocked him as much as had the creature's arrival.
As much as he'd have liked to remain in place and fight beside Eliae, he knew the benefit of attacking an opponent from both sides. He moved to flank the little man, ignoring the light mace at his feet, and his wounds as best he was able, placed his free hand on the heavy mace still in his hand to add power and stability to his attacks, and struck, aiming for the vile little man's head and neck.

Adustes was just as surprised as Vellek to see the newcomer wading into the fight. Unlike the mercenary however, he didn't wait to see if this new creature attacked them or not. He kept his focus on the redcap, and mentally directed his summoned sword to continue its attack.

EDIT:
Adustes was pleased to see that one of Vellek's attacks hit the redcap's back hard enough to cause the creature to lurch forward somewhat. But his own conjured blade brought a slight grin to his lips as it opened another cut in the small fey's side.
He managed to divert his attention from the blood long enough to take stock of how those his people were faring in the battle. He couldn't immediately see Vhael'iss, but that she continued to play her instrument told him she was fine. The pair to the side manning the crossbows he didn't believe to have been approached by the redcap yet. Eliae he knew to be wounded, though he couldn't see the injury with their opponent in the way. Vellek's injuries were easily apparent, yet still he swung his weapon strongly, and continued to hurt the redcap, despite the thickness of its hide.
Now that the light illuminated the newcomer, Adustes noted his race as half-dragon--pyroclastic at that-- though he couldn't say with certainty what the other half was. He briefly wondered what such a creature was doing here, but banished the thought. There were more important things to concentrate on. He saw that the gehennan's wounds were deep, and he was already looking faint. The priest thought no ill of him for this however. He had already taken one wound from the redcap, and knew that a second such strike would surely fell him.
Targeting the gehennan, he spoke a word of power, and the deeper flesh severed by the redcap's blade stitched back together. Though it was all the minor spell had to offer, it wasn't much of a healing. But it at least managed to return some vitality to the gray half-dragon, and return some of the strength such wounds had stolen.

Vhael'iss was no less shocked to see a strange grey creature charging into the fray, but refused to let her surprise disrupt her concentration this time. Not twice in as many heartbeats. She watched with narrowing eyes as he burst forward towards the redcap and she once more felt the magic welling up in her music and she dipped back into her melody. Her eyes remained open though for her to observe the unfolding scene, as she was yet uncertain of the newcomer's intentions. Thus far he seemed intent on fighting the redcap, which was good, though the redcap was doing a damn good job fighting back...
Just then, the tall being reared back from a particularly sound hit, allowing Vhael'iss the first good look at it since its arrival, and her brows bounced up in surprise. It was... another half dragon? A Pyroclastic half dragon? She had not made the connection before in all of the rumors she'd heard passed in fearful whispers, but this was the "demon" that had been aiding the barbarians- it had to be. Surely there could not be two of such description here.
My my. Things just kept getting more interesting...

Eliae, catching the newcomer out of the corner of her eye, turned slightly to make an attack on him, though hesitated. He came in fast enough for her to not be able to hit, she knew, and he went straight for the redcap before them. She waited for a moment, then took another swing at the little man, this time with more of a backhanded swing aimed towards his upper back.

Matasoga had made up his mind to shout a proposal for retreat (given that he had already used his breathweapon, and to such little effect) but it seemed that he was attacking the redcap and was thus for the time being, useful.
He stepped behind a tree, pulling his tail up to conceal himself. Hopefully, this new monster hadn't seen him, yet. As itwas, Matasoga himself was of little use in this battle at the moment, whoever his opponent. He decided that he had best wait and see how things played out. For now, it was best to load his crossbow and prepare. If the stupid brute was as he had heard, he'd likely turn on them, be they friend or foe as soon as he was out of other enemies.
He began to search with his fingers for a bolt, knowing by the shafts which ones had silver and which had steel tips.

Hide check: Add 1 to the result. Everyone has already seen him and is likely observing him still, so this will probably only be relevant if new characters arrive. If there are no trees then replace this with an alternate object. If no such object exists, then he simply doesn't hide and instead uses whatever is needed to step off to the side and away from the fray.

Such strength in such a little creature was surprising, he had greatly underestimated his opponent. He could feel his body beginning to give out as the repercussions of his failed attempt to grasp the little man sank in. Fortunately, one of the group fighting it felt compelled to aid him and Furian could feel some of his vigor return to him. He would not waste this opportunity and though he was impressed by the creature before him it did not change what needed to be done.
Furian took in a deep breath, feeling the familiar energy well up in his chest. Normally, he would have needed to use his breath weapon in such a way as to endanger the others around him. However, because they had aided him he felt the need to return the favor. Due to the immense difference in size between him and his opponent the downward angle from his full height would focus it solely on the little man. Furian's mouth opened and accompanying his fierce, thunderous roar was a blast of black, burning ash.
