I found the movie really different than the book in a bad way. Did the director even read the book? Why isn't Klaus taller than his sister and doesn't wear glasses? What is wrong with this movie you ask me......................EVERYTHING I could even make a better movie!!! xp scream

Of course, everyone's entitled to their own opinion...

Guys are just generally taller than girls when they get older. and yeah, it would be beneficial to read the earlier pages of a topic...or in keeping the spirit of the books, you don't want to read anymore of the forum <_< it's too depressing >_>

I hate the movie. I like it to be more similar to the book. It was barley even similar and how they put the 3 books together! razz

What anbnoyed me the most was the fact that the actor playing Klaus was nothing like Klaus- he did not have dark hair, he did not wear glasses (He had them off most of the time, and anyone who has read The Miserable Mill should know that Klaus cannot see without them) and he was also emotional and boastful. Klaus is very calm if not solemn, and the Baudelaires almost never bickered in the books. What I do feel they did right was the casting for Violet, Count Olaf, and Sunny.

Its like my brother. He's only a year younger than me and taller than me. It did kindof bother me about the glasses thing, but he would look too much like Harry Potter if he had them, any style. They had to make it different. I think that if they make another movie they will skip the fourth one and go right on to the plot about the Quagmires. So books 5,6,7 together. (the Quagmires could escape in the end) 8,9,10 would make more sense because the Carnivorous Carnival and the Slippery Slope take place so near each other.

paradoxical Yami - Hikari I haven't seen the movie, now I don't want to, it sounds like the ruined the book..thier clothes look nothing like the book, though I did too like Violet's dress anyways. Plus, WHY THE HELL IS KLAUS TALLER THAN VIOLET!? He looks older, he's supposed to be 12..oh well, book to movies have never been good.. sweatdrop Well he might have been taller, but they had to make sure they had a good actor for the part and not just think about physical appearances. I thought he did a good job with it. Hey, did you guys know that Emily Browning HAD to wear high heels in the movie to make sure that she was taller than Liam Aiken, because Emily Browning is 5'4 and Liam Aiken is about 5'8 or something. (Ee....I know too much. What HAVE I been doing on my free time? sweatdrop xd )

Anael De Ezra Sorry to keep this going, but to be honest, the biggest mistake was making the movie in the first place. Yes, I thought Emily Browning looked nice in the "Gothic Lolita" dress, but that was about the best part; the costuming. I'm of the opinion that books should never be made into movies. Yes, I'm VERY mad that they slaughtered the movie, but I don't think that it was a mistake that they made the movie in the first place. It was actually my first favorite movie that I've had in a few years! (And The movie is what made me all obsessive of the books in the first place, not to mention, read them!) I LOVED the movie! But I'm mad that Liam Aiken has a girlfriend. Oh, sorry. Random outburst. I wish they made another version of it, make it a tad bit longer, put a few more details in it, and actually NOT doing stuff that they didn't do in the books! Yeah. There's alot of mistakes that need to be corrected. xp

Starlurk The movie sort of made it look like there wouldn't even BE another movie.. Yeah, they did. Lol, I think they only did that just in case they weren't going to make another movie, but I still think that they shoud have stuck with the books. I think they're making another movie. I hope so. I loke the movie! (They'd better put Klaus in his glasses, too! scream )

Starlurk The movie sort of made it look like there wouldn't even BE another movie.. Yeah, that kind of sucks. I wish they hadn't made it too much of a happy ending, I mean, with the Baudelaires being adopted by Justice Strauss (that did happen, right? I have't seen the movie in a while... sweatdrop ), it's just.... too happy, if you know what I mean...
