a ribbon of magic surrounded the White Magi and he dissolved into the air.

"I'm stopping you because you look suspicious, Mr. Worde. I have to search you for your safety and the safety of others." In truth the officer wanted to catch one small thing as an excuse to beat someone. Hopefully Mr. Worde.

{Haha, there is nothing remotely suspicious about De Worde, so he'll get away. Beside if he does get taken in, Tu'lal will have to use the officer's identity xd }

"Um... ok sir..." said William nervously consenting to the search despite his amendment rights.

The guard could find nothing. He still wanted an outlet for some fun, so he ordered the man to walk backwards, blindfolded in a straight line while repeating the alphabet to the tune of "Hooked on a Feeling" as a sobriety test. he grinned beneath his faceless visor.

Oddly, the fat man did it easily. Mentally, Tu'lal was laughing and a bit envious. He'd become a guard sooner or later, cause he could imagine how fun this would be. William finished the test easily and stood nervously waiting for the next order.

Elijah came to the end of the long maze of tunnels, typing in a code, grateful that his enhanced vision could see in the dark. A door slid open, revealing a large, slightly dank room. It seemed like a train station, a strange vehicle on rails in the middle. Two tunnels, completely dark, stretched on either side, the rails disappearing with them.

"Sorry Machinists, I know that you can fend for yourself. It's her I worry about," he muttered, jumping into the vehicle and getting it started up. He set a course and it took off.

Spira stared at the ceiling of her temporary home, hearing the fixed clock ticking beside her head. She blinked blankly, bored out of her mind. There was nothing to do here, as nice as it was. She was impatient for the sun to set, the light something she wasn't so used to. There was also nothing to build, nothing to take apart, nothing to tweak. Nothing to do at all.

The sun finally set and she shoved herself off of her bed. She was glad she'd been able to help at all, and keep herself away from losing her mind in this unbearably clean place. She'd taken a shower, grateful for it, but she had absolutely nothing to do.

She walked across the large room to the bathroom, clicking on the light and viewing herself in the mirror. Her very tan skin was clean, her golden hair actually matching her eyes in intensity for once, pulled back into a neat ponytail. They'd given her new clothes, but she refused to wear them, instead just cleaning off her currents. Her boots were by the door, her bare feet cool against the tile.

She leaned her forehead against the mirror, the cold glass soothing. She closed her eyes, feeling a sudden overpowering sense of loneliness.

The guard was shocked, but recovered quickly. "Do a handstand and hum the entire Imperial March, and if you can do that, you can go..." He was doubtful any man as large as the one he saw could do anything of the sort without breaking his arms. He smiled under the reflective glass. He'd won.

----

A knock came on Spira's door, followed by mechanical whirring.

Spira put herself on guard, reaching around the bathroom counter and finding a pair of scissors. She held them in her hand and shuffled silently to the door, opening it carefully.

Tu'lal was stuck. Would he break the disguise by doing it, or not do it and get locked up. He could that the guard was excited from his body posture, so William De Worde did a handstand and he hummed the entire Imperial March. The body posture of the guard switched to 'disappointed/amazed/confused'. De Worde got right side up again and asked, "So, um... can I go sir?"

"Alright, now that's physically impossible!" The guard said, slightly freaked out, "who the heck are you?!" his hand reached for his gun, since this man couldn't possibly do that.

(He's in an alleyway, since the cops don't like to beat people in open areas to maintain their "good" image.)

---

A robot was at the door, carrying what appeared to be cleaning supplies. "Greetings. I hope I did not disturb you... I am the cleaning droid for this residence, and you must be the current owner. Good evening. Is there anything I can do for you?"

{The officer isn't a main character, and diplomacy isn't going to work. Post or pm me if u don't want the guy to die, and ill use diplomacy.}

"Oh, I do a lot of paperwork. Carrying paper is a lot harder then it seems. Here is my card." said De Worde, bringing up a card to the officer's sweater pocket. Nanobots came out of his palm and speared the officer in the brain, heart, and various other places. Letting the body fall, De Worde nervously walked out of the alley. The nanobots remained, quickly breaking down the body, till nothing was left.

(I wanted you to kill the officer...)

The officer's ID, on the ground next to him named him "Miles Loren Jensen," A single man in his early thirties with a sheriff-style mustache.

{ill assume the headquarter's entrance is hidden in a normal building}

William found the street. As he walked on the concrete path, the nanobots, having finished destroying every part of the murder, climbed back into Tu'lal's body. He rang the first building. "I could I intr--" began William before the door was slammed in his face. This repeated multiple times. Then he got to the headquarter's house entrance. William looked at his house sheet. "This can't be it." he said to himself, staring in disbelief at the broken down house in front of him. "Well, this is the address, so I guess Ill to what I normally do." He rang the bell and knocked on the door.

"Oh. Hi," Spira said, stabbing the scissors into the wall next to her. "Sorry. I'm a little jumpy. Uhm...I don't have anything that really needs done, but you can come in." She pulled open the door all the way and gestured with an arm.

--

Elijah snapped his eyes open as the vehicle came to a jumpy, slightly slamming stop. He glanced at the clock and location. Right on. He was underneath the West Sector.

He hopped out of the seat, walking to the back of the vehicle and pulling it open. He pulled out the contents, a set of clean clothes, some black slacks, a red button-up shirt with a simple black jacket over it. A pair of simple black shoes came too. Also in the back was a cleaning rag, ready for use. A set of weapons and some of his personally engineered technology for various uses. He wiped the dirt and grease from her face and arms, changing into the other clothes. He cleaned his hair the best he could, then stowed various weapons on him, as well as some useful technology.

He left the base that the Machinists had built beneath the West, coming into the night of the sector. He now needed to find Spira.

{{Are you talking about the Defenders' headquarters? It's in an empty house. It's run-down and looks unlived in. You're not going to get an answer. I did post the location already. Go back and look.}}

The robot rolled into the room and began to clean the floor. A panel on the back fell off and clattered on the floor.
