While Aras was gone, Haldir set to work quickly. He had earlier asked Caldor to get someone to bring more wood into his chambers for the hearth. Since the head servant of the house still should not be carrying anything heavy, Haldir was glad to learn that Caldor had indeed gotten the job done without having to actually do it himself.
Haldir built a large fire in the hearth, which was not too terribly difficult. Then, he spread the extra comforter for the bed onto the floor. Smoothing out the edges, the Marchwarden placed a few of the extra pillows down for them to lean against. He lit only the candles near to the fireplace, for the sun had just passed the peaks of the mountains, throwing the valley into shadow. Opening the balcony doors, to let in the cool evening breeze, was the last touch. When Aras returned, Haldir placed an extra blanket near one of the pillows and looked up.
"That did not take long." he commented upon her arrival.

"Lieing?" Haldir asked with a laugh, "Come now, Aras... would I lie to you?"

Haldir smiled sheepishly as he took the glass. "Well, I admit that I had..." but then he heard Thranduil's shout.
Looking to Aras, he nodded.
"Go and fetch the Healers, I will see what has happened."
With that, he set his wine glass down and rushed from the room.

Instead of taking Aras to her own room, Haldir took her to his. It was closer, for one thing, and it already had a nice warm fire built in the hearth.
Laying the woman on the bed, the Lorien Elf moved to stoke the embers in the fireplace, adding warmth to the chamber.

Haldir turned his head to look in the direction of the bed. When he realized Aras was waking, he set the poker down near the fire and quickly made his way to the bedside.
"Aras?" he asked, looking at her with a glint of worry in his eyes. "Are you alright?"
