"I want to save everyone, including Gregory and the others...I want to fight for a safe and balanced world in which Lily and yourself can raise your child...yet, I can't help but wonder about the war...There are so many possibilites...so many outcomes."

He grabbed her shoulders to stop her. "I know, it is over whelming not knowing whats to happen. Believe me when I say that you are not alone, I will be there for you in your time of need. We will make this world a better place, a place for everyone to be happy."

Still holding her shoulders. "Lydia, you have to remember that the Gregory of your past is dead. The Gregory now is not what you mothered, it is a creation of Dr. Avarice. I know this sounds hurtful, but its life." He really wanted to pull her into his arms to comfort her, but decided to let her do that if she choose.

She looked miserable as she said this, but nodded, resting her hands over his. "I know, Edward, I know. I just wish so desperately that it was a lie."

"I wish there was something I could do to ease your pain." he spoke quietly, giving it everything he had to not hug her. How he wants to pull her into a comforting embrace.

"Well, as I've said before, we can't always get what we want." She thought about telling him what was on her mind, what she really worried about, but knew if she said anything, he'd probably keep her from battle. So, she never changed her expression and smiled up at Edward slightly.

He smiled. "Mim, tell me whats on your mind. I know you to well for you to hide anything from me." he watched her, hoping she knew that no matter what she said He wouldn't do anything to interfere unless asked by her.

Mimicry grinned, patting his shoulder. "Again, you know me too well. I'm afraid, Edward, even this is something I cannot share with you...or Rin." She watched him, eyes growing serious.

Mimicry contemplated whether or not she should tell him. "Not now. I'm not even sure myself about what I'd say." In all honesty, she thought, she should've kept her mouth shut and just played coy when he asked what was on her mind.

He nodded. "Thats settled." He looked at her realizing that even though he loves Lily, that he will always care for Lydia too. There was a small part of his heart reserved for her and it will always be there.
