"Ze boy's an independent man, 'e can handle 'imself. Unless qou need 'im fer zomezhing, zhen qou yell." Angevin decided to take a seat down at one of the round tables putting her feet up on the chair beside her. "Qou knoe, I've been on ze island fer a long zime noe, ziz 'as been ze longest I've been awae." She took a drink. Something was off. The normally pissy governor was rather calm.

"You know...now that you mention it..."
Vincent sucked on his pipe, and blew a smoke ring.
"...methinks that karma might set in. I felt a little strange walking off the boat. Like we are in the calm before a storm."
Vincent tapped his pipe on the counter, and rubbed his forehead. He looked like some sort of wild-eyed college professor about to give a lecture.
"May just be me, but I think s**t is going to hit the fan..."

Sitting there without his grog, Myere grew irritated. A pub without grog was right unnaturalike. Raising a hand to indicate he had a thought, he hesitated and withdrew. He had never been one to speak his mind, seeing as how he had difficulty to do so. Though even so Myere had never had tro speak his mind, being the quartermaster board the Lady, the Captain had always given him orders. Now he was free to make his own decisions. Raising his hand once more, he spoke
"Perdon me intruuson but iv eets a ruun to the manelund you be needen Id be happy to take that rotting old sloop V'escue akross the straits iv eet is needed."

Vincent looked over at the man, and then recognized who he was. It took him awhile to pick up on what he said, but he was certain he had seen this man before.
"...your work with Captain Kurisutofa?"
Vincent inquired the man, not so sure if he was just making things up in his head. He was sure he had seen him running about the Lady the last time he was aboard her; which was very briefly before turning around and walking off.

Perking up as much as could be expected, Myere smiled quaintly at the ragged sailor. Though he didn't seem as salty as most Old Tars, Myere felt a sense of trust worthiness about the man. Sitting up a little striaghter, Myere beamed with pride.
"Myere Vanstring. Quartermaster, Coxswain & Captain of the 'Lively Ladies' - Loudest Seagoing Shanty Singers in the West Indies - at your service, sir."

"Very nice title, sir. People around here call me Vincent; only one who addresses me with certain title is Kurisutofa. Not that I work for him, or of a higher rank from him...no..."
Vincent chuckled as he sucked his pipe. The wind began to pickup outside, as clouds could be seen rolling in from the west.
"..far from it. You mentioned ghost Doc Morgan's ship, yes? Well, the way I see it, as long as you pay tribute and thank the Doc before you take his vessel, she is as good as yours."
Vincent looked around, and looked at Vanstring. In a very low tone of voice, he addressed him.
"You familar with Hawaii?"

"Hawaii?"
John said, turning to address Vincent. Looking at him in a quizzical manner he continued skeptically.
"Ya' don't honestly mean ta' gw'after this er ... T-trema-tololo-b-belia ... "
He stuttered.
"Erm ... Tremat-tolobe-lelia-aa ... Tr-rem-ato-to-"
He scratched his head in frustration.
" ... *Sigh* ... You know what I mean."

Vincent turned to John; he was still whispering.
"Yes John. I am going to get rid of that damn thing..."
Thunder rumbles in the distance as the pub goes silent. The smoke from Vincents pipe is the only thing moving, as the mention of the Demon seems to bring a certain tension to the people.
"...it will be done in silence. Swift. Call me crazy, but I have a hunch we can pull it off."

*Scratching his head*
"The Sandvich Islands? Yes, I am very familiar wit dem. I used too sail as a harpooner een a Vhaler out of New Bedvord and Nantucket. We vould traverse the Horn and then repair at Valperiza and den continue onto the South Seas in search uf deh sperm-vhale. Greight mounts of ivory and amburgreis we took. But as fer deh plan..."

"..we will meet in secret, you two. In darkness."
Vincent takes a mottled piece of parchment stained with grog from a table. He takes out a small bone-nib pen and dips it into one of the few ink bottles, and writes out a time and place on the parchment.
The Parchment Meet me at the gallows (Town Square) on July 13th.
Vincent got up off his stool and handed the parchment to John, and whispered "Bring Vanstring with you..." as he slipped by and headed out into the storm. His figure slowly faded from sight as he walked down the street.
Then he was gone.

Angevin was still seated at her table busy with her drink when what seemed like the absence of talk arrived. She turned to the men at the bar but couldn't pick up anything. She hated whispers.
The Governor got up from her comfortable seat and wobbled over to the two men left.
"Whaots goin' on aboot 'ere, eh?"

"Not'ing dat vould be uf a'nee use to you, Miss Gov'rnor. Juust oos men conversing in a gentlemanlike fashioon over a topic oof ungentlemanly... like.. subject."
Seeing that his explanation has been neither here nor there and that there was no dawning comprehension upon the Governor's face, Myere grabbed a glass from over the counter and filled it with whatever was in the closest bottle.
"Whores, Mum: Dah Sobjeckt iis Whores...
New dat eim thurowly imbareassed, I shall ve on me vay. Goood-Nite, Sir... Miss's."
Removing himself from his stool, Myere touched off what was in his glass and slid it across the counter. Taking up his dittybag, Myere slung it over his shoulder and headed out the door, wearing a sligh smirk on his face. Attempting to conquer it, he replaced it with a fake frown and closed the door behind him.
