Ya, most of the people around here have internet user level 3 or above.
This looks like a pyramid but with the widest point at level 2. So like an upside down diamond cut traditionally.
Internet user levels.
Level 1: This level for those unfamiliar with either the use of the internet or interet etiquette.
Variation A: Old Folks. The ones that just can't figure it out and usually stay within the boundaries of the yahoo website. Note: One need not necessarily be old to fit into this category but old people describes it best.
Variation B: Noobs 1. They haven't figured much out yet and often take alot of crap from more experienced people or maybe even just a bot of some sort.
Variation C: n00bs: Annoying. As. All. Hell
Level 2: Some understanding sometimes accompanied by false sense of mastery.
Variation A: Specialists. Familiar understanding of several programs.
Variation B: Commoner. Can use general internet related 'stuff.' However, they are prey of viruses and other methods of exploitation.
Level 3: Competant. Usually know the difference between what they know and what they don't. Sometimes suffer negative features of lower groups but are generally decent.
Level 4a: Jerk who sits on the computer all day for whatever reason.
Variation "me": 'me'
Can manipulate any program with standard interface with some proficiency and will quickly gain more knowlege about said program if he finds it entertaining or useful. Can predict what is likely to be a virus or exploit but often explores further to see what will happen, it's not like he has anything valuable or even difficult to replace anyway.
*Readily accumulates more understanding of internet and computer things in general.*
Level 4b: Anyone similar to level 4a
Level 5: Professionals, Hobbyists
Can probably built their own computer from scratch from memory. Knows the ins and outs of whatever. Mastery usually shows an inverse relation to non computer related knowledge from this level and part of the previous level (not a complete innability to do other stuff, but often little urge to do so. Social ability impairment rampant at top of pyramid.)
