Now that the wierd sword was gone, Rand rested a little easier. Elf swords were.....difficult to say the least. They were never, never just a sword.

She pulled at her clingy clothing, "Hopefully going for a swim in the hot springs. That is, once I find them. Hot water to sooth the skin and calm the mind I suppose."

Rand's mind may have been calm, but her body sure wasn't. Though the conduit hadn't opened it's self for a long time now. The manor.....scared it. There were so many different powers here that so far the most that came out was bad luck.

The grass at Rand's feet began to smoke and turn black. A wonderful impression if she ever thought so herself.

"Have I...have I seen you before?"

Elias smiled, as he stood there, appereantly she had noticed yet, that girl was already gone, into Miztlan, she was of Aztec blood, and she could not be touched by her. Elias on the other hand could but thought that it was best that he not, death would be pleasent for her, she had died and innocent unaware of the things Elias and her grandfather did. He wondered how long it would take to figure out that the girl was already on the other side. Elias made his way to the sitting room where he would wait for her return.

Merelii wasn't paying attention, and walked in to the sitting room, nose buried in a book. her tail flicked idly behind her, as she talked to herself softly, scratching her head once in awhile. aside form a silver locket around her neck, and a scar accross her left cheek, she was the mirorr image of shin.

she looked up, and blinked owlishly, not realizing elias was there. "do I know you from some where?" her voice was different, and accent of choppy words mixed with a musicall voice, the result being an odd sounding speech, but not something that was hard on the ears.

"Actually, I do." Nelphean turned and faced away from the spring. "But I will stay to talk if you wish."

"We all have our demons, one of mine wouldn't let me or my friend wear clothes. I can't even look in the mirror without recalling my flesh being torn of my skull..." He hoped his message got across, too many painful memories.

"You dislike crowds, as do I. I hear their thoughts, and their desires, the feelings... I can read them all. I can chose not to, but I have to be mindful. Hunted I am." The elf sat near the spring, but still looked away, lost in his own images, not seeing the world, but seeing the world under the world...

Rand began to strip. She had said before that she wasn't human, and she was glad that the elf had turned away, though she wasn't sure if she would care if he did see her.

One could see why she wasn't human when she pulled her black top over her head. She looked whole enough one could say, except for the spot on her chest. Directly over her heart, where the pumping muscle should have been, was nothing but a hole. A void, straight though the body. This was the conduit.

In her skivies, Rand lowered herslef into the hot water. "Skin being torn off your scull? I can see how a memory like that would be painful. But you know, it shouldn't stop you from seeing the beauty in things, especially the beauty of the body. Having been through such tortues as you imply, those things that are truly beautiful should seem even more so now."

Rand sighed, her guard completely down. A little smile on her lips. "Water has never felt so good." She sang softly to herself while she listened to what the elf had in to say reply. oh come, angel band, come and around me stand. oh bare me away on your snow like wings, to my imortal home

"If you feel like singing, then you should sing." Nelphean replied, "Beauty, yes. I can see it more clearly now, and I can not remember ever enjoying something as simple as an omelette as much as I have recently."

"That which is beautiful seems ever much a dream to my weary eyes, and I feel that it will suddenly shatter at any moment, as the sky slowly darkens the sun..." Nelphean closed his eyes, and saw an image that he rather not think of, damn visions of the future.

"You feel different, not whole." Nelphean wasn't sure how she would react to that comment, but it seemed to be a good question to ask.

Rand Yawned, her song forgotten. "Thus is the beauty of all things. They are beautiful because they don't last forever. If there was no dark there would be no light"

"I'm not whole, all too true." She sleepily raised an eye brow. "There is a void in my body. And I'm not speaking figurativley. I feel the water on the inside of my chest, it flows in and out of me as easily as......other things."

She turned her heard to look at the elf's back. "what's it to ya?"
