Bradwen walked out of the meat freezer with a chunk of meat and went over to the heavy wood stove to cook it up. Unfortunatley there wasn't any firewood left to start the cooking fire with, so he started to leave the kitchen to go get some. as he left the kitchen, the glint of light from the courtyard caught his eye.
"Of course!" he said. "That way'll be much quicker too!"
Grinning, he dashed back into the kitchen and grabbed his meat, proceeding then to run back into the Grand Hall toward the courtyard.

Bastet laughed outright, "She said that you are forbidden to speak of the name and are to keep your mind to yourself. I think she is suffering from a bit of a wounded pride. Tell me, was her reaction to when you mentioned it as good as her choking on her coffee this morning?" Then she leaned down to Eclipse and scratched him under the wings, his sensitive spot. "But you know you love babysitting. You just turn into a lapdog on sight of them. And I know you love Sweet cakes too." Bastet grinned mischeviously showing fangs as her tail swayed.

Pheaura didn't have to read Ryo's thoughts to know what he was thinking. "No, he didn't die becuase he was following you, he died of old age. I was beginning to suspect it for a while now. It took him longer to fly distances he could normally do in the blink on an eye and I could see he was really strained before he left. I just didn't want to admit it to myself that he was getting old.
"Oh, my little angel has a loved one. I like to play with loved ones." The voice resurfaced itself.
Pheaura shook the voice from her head then smiled a little, "You know I have never been properly intoduced to our son." She emphasized the 'our' because she was planning on adopting Dagan, not that she would tell Ryo. She'd let him figure it out for himself.

'You as well Kitty? I'm appauled....though I'd be more appalled if you weren't scratching there...But still! I'm going to have to sit her down and talk to her! He snorted and relented to Bastet's hand, flopping to the floor. He prided himself of the welfare of Aurahkah, so why was he out of the information loop?

"I don' think I want to get involved." Retreating from the kitchen he returned to Bastet's side. He involuntarily reached up and wrapped his fingers around her wrist, just holding on, barely aware of even doing it. "I'm sorry again Bastet. I'll be more careful."

'You didn't know??? BWAHAHAHA!!!' Dagan literally fell on the floor, holding his stomach laughing as he rolled side to side. It seemed uncontrollable, yet so funny. "Sure..HAHA, I won't BWAHAH say it HEEHEEHEE OUT LOUD!"
"Our so....oooh! Dagan, yes. I haven't done that yet. In that case, lets!" Ryo glided towards the direction of his son, his wings ligthening up with his increase in positive emotional energy. "DAGAN! Up here son!"
Dagan recovers from his laughing fit to notice his father was descending with Miss Pheaura in his arms. "Oh, I see you brought someone with you this time, you lazy old geezer! Yah...she's Pheaura, an angel's daughter, who happens to be the daughter of your guardi..."
"Dagan...what did Miss Aura say about prying into people's minds?"
"Um....don't?
Ryo nods in confirmation to his son's response.

Bradwen stopped at the lake's edge and thought for a second. He decided to take off his swords, tunic, and shirt just in case. After all, this wasn't exactly his forte. He set the items down about fifteen feet away under a tree and walked back to the lakeside, holding his slab of meat that he hoped would soon become dinner. Concentrating, he tried to block out disturbances so that he could cook the meat without getting a bath at the same time.

Pheaura gracefully leaped out of Ryo's arms. She knelt to be at the child's level and held out her hand, "I'm sure you know about me, as I do you, Dagan. But we've never been formally introduced."

Bastet laughed at Eclipses disgruntled speech and how he called her simply Kitty. "You are slipping on your job of protection my dear hawk dog. I will help you though." She hugged him as she felt something around her wrist. Then looked to see Khenu, "It is alright this time. But when I have been around so long, I do not think that someone as young as you should have your life taken so early. That is why I ask you to be careful. And I would be sad." She turned to see Ryo reprimanding his son, thankful taht she did not have to.

Eclipse growled slightly. 'We may share a mind link but we do have boundries. As she would say, for Ra's sake! And if I'm going to be a bird dog, can't I be an eagle dog?' He craned his neck up to lick her cheek.

"Well I'm not going to make you sad then and I'll be more careful." He nodded then looked at the scorch mark on the floor. Tugging at Bastet's wrist he pointed with his other hand to the floor. "What about that?"

"Uuuuum...Yeah, you're right. I'm Dagan, the brat of the Roman. Nice ta meet you!" Dagan Dagan shook her hand firmly, smiling.
Ryo had walked over to where Bradwen was, but wasn't saying anything. He was waiting to see what Bradwen had in him.

As would be expected from anyone who knew what he was up to, including Bradwen himslef, sounds of a small explosion came from the courtyard, where Bradwen was once again being flung across the lake by the force of his own spell. The boar meat popped straight up into the sky, coming back down after it had reached about thirty feet. The sheer wind and landing force combined put out the fire on the meat, and it sizzled as it laid on the beach just out of reach of the waves. Bradwen bobbed his head to the surface, sputtered out and looked around. He spotted his meat sitting cooked back on the shore.
"Lucky!" He said, smiling as he swam back to get his food.

((nope... never mind... brain has ceased creative function...))
All of his time since today having been spent in his standard practice sessions, both inside the field prepared by Vik and the areas surrounding the manor, Saradin needed to rest a bit to recover from the lack of sleep. He slunk back into the manor, tired but still knowing that these were better days for him.

Pheaura smiled and repressed a laugh, "Well, little brat," she teased, "how would you like a mother as well?"
