K'erith grinned at Bastet "Hello." he then turned back to Kellendel, digging into his pouch, he brought forth a series of gold rings and bracelets, all adorned with various precious and semi-precious jewels. "These to your liking?" he asked "I believe a see a few sapphires and emeralds in there." he knew that old fools gold would come in handy some day.

((didn't see your post sorry Elias))
Niah stood up and wrapped her arms around herself staring off into the forest. "You asked for a chance you're not ready to take Elias." She shook her head. "You just don't get it do you? You moved too fast and what you did was wrong. You shouldn't have flaunted me like that in front of Cymarron. It was mean and you used me to hurt Cymarron." Seh turned away and began to cry. "I won't be second best Elias. Adn I won't share with the past!" she said with vehemence.

Kellendel looked at the items, then back at the fellow. He reached into his pocket and pulled out a sapphire the size of a golf ball. "I meant like this." He eyes fell onto a few of the rubies, he turned his head towards Nelphean Rain, "Should I?"
"I don't see why not, it's only a cleaving halberd. Give it to him." Rain laughed, silly people using inferior weapons.
"Ok, I guess I'll just give it to you. Since you are poor and all." Kellendel added the poor part with an emphasis. "Just give me a minute." He blinked out of existance, and appeared a moment later, holding a slightly decorative halberd, with a very keen edge. "Here, its only a minor weapon but it will do until you are rich. Then come see me, I'll make it better." The elf looked at Xail, "How long was I gone?"
"The better part of a second? Why?" Rain answered, as Xail was deep in thought.
"Oh, I spent a day making the halberd. Odd." Kellendel didn't give any mroe thought, and looked back at the party. "Oh, the shirkins, here have some spikes." He tosed the wrist clip to the table near K'erith. "Nine, as per tradition."

Her gaze went about the scene of people gathered and she smiled. So this was his family, good thing he did not have enough yet. Nelphean walked over to her and her gaze inevitably wandered to his eyes. "Well, this is a nice surprise." Bastet kissed him and then turned again to glance at everyone else. So the girl that climbed off of Nelphean was Taria, a smile was given to her and another to Aurora, then a look to the one that had made the statue comment, "My form changed sometimes, but this was the one that was preferred." And then she turned back to Nelphean, "How long has everyone been waiting?" It was still probably nice for them all to get together and talk.

"Thank you kindly." he said, as much as the one named Rain as Kellendell. a little annoyed about the remark on his wealth. He shrugged it off, better not run his mouth off, might endanger his chance of purchasing anything else in the future. He looking intently at the Halberd, mere cleving halberd indeed, it was beautiful. One of the best he'd seen. The shiriken were the same, better than any he'd seen in Japan during his stay. He levitated the spikes up in the air for a minute, shot them at a a chair, stopping them an inch before they imbedded themselves. "Theyll do." he smiled wryly.

Elias wasn' going to deny what he did was wrong, but the other things that she had said that he would speak of. "Yes, it was wrong and for that I am sorry, but you're not being fair to yourelf by saying that I would dare compare you to my wife, yes you remind me slightly of her, but your not her. The love I have for her is different, then the one I have for you, don't you get that? I'm not trying to replace my wife, I'm trying to love you, you and only you, this isn't about my past, it's about the present, and the future that I want to spend with you." Elias said his voice calmed and soothing.

Sir J Wiedreich the Blind
|
Posted: Sat Apr 02, 2005 10:07 pm
Wiedreich woke up in a far corner of the library, with little memory of what he had been doing several hours ago. There was an old book resting on his lap. It was entitled "making and breaking curses". Wiedreich flipped the book over to where, apparently, he had been reading. In old runic words was a mantra for breaking the curse of the most extreme possession. It could be a very dangerous spell if one was not possessed by thousands of spirits...but it was the only cure for the aforesaid curse. It banished the spirits by damaging the link that they had used to get into the body. Joe's original scars had been ripped out of his skin, and deeper bloody grooves made the same design as before. The new scars were quite deep; on his cheeks, just below the eyes, Wiedreich could feel the surface of his jawbone through the ripped up flesh. Joe felt better, knowing that the spell had removed the curse of the scar, and even though this scar was a deeper likeness of the first, it did not possess the same effects. Soon, it would heal.
Joe shelved the book and walked out, hiding a mess of sweat and blood under a stack of armor. He had once again banished the wizard from his body...but he could not let them enter again. He wished desperately that it has been a nightmare, but he shuddered as he recalled the lady in white and the terror and fear that no nightmare can cause. She was still out there, somewhere. She was feeding the world's hunger for mystery, fear, and strange power, while keeping hidden from the masses, killing, and disappearing into the darkness just beyond the imagination and perceptions of human beings. She could only be imprisoned by one of much greater power. She would live, in one body or another, until the earth ran out of humans, or until somebody could imprison her.
Joe walked the halls quietly. He had narrowly avoided a fate worse than death, but he had lost everything. Now, he was weak and pitiful, like all other humans...or nearly so. All he had was his ambition to drive him. Wiedreich removed a dusty book from his pack, one he had not read for many hundreds of years. It was the religious book of his now extinct people. He knew that he would need its wisdom before the end, and no time was it more urgent than now. Wiedreich would make no mistakes. He would burn out the human evils which were within him and become a pure being.

"I was too busy listening for you to care. Sorry, I don't know, a few minutes and hour..." Nelphean really didn't care, he wanted to present Bastet to his family, and they were going to love her. "The wise elf talking to... Him is Kellendel. He's my apprentice, which is like a son. Xail, the man over their who looks like he is talking to god is Kellendel's body guard. Rain is a friend from the earth elf space colony, he is a blood brother of sorts." Nelphean introduced his three friends first.
"Taria is the shorter blond, she meet Nailah once I believe. She's a rogue like her father, but doesn't enjoy the company of men. I couldn't be happier with her." Nelphean blew Taria a kiss.
"The other blond, with with the light chainmail and twin swords is Sylphina. She's a wilderness lore. She is a good fighter, and a strong and brave girl. You two have a few things in common." Nelphean blew a kiss to his other daughter as well.
"My son is sitting by the fire, Innovindil's son." Nelphean looked at his boy, who still looked into the fires after his name had been called. "My full elf child, who is a servent of Corellon Larethian. He is a good son, worthy of more than he ever recieved." Nelphean smiled softly, and tuned back to Bastet.
"Aurora." As he pointed at the wolf.
"My brother went outside, but I know he wishes you the best." He smiled, assuming that Nelphean would honour Bastet.

Niah spun and stared at him. Her eyes flared and she looked him straight in the eyes. "You're not trying to replace me? Uet I remind you of your wife. Read the writing on the wall Elias! I'm not asking you to forget your wife. " She paused for a mometn adn then said. "I can't be with you if your still in love with her. There is not future if that's the case. It's as simple as that."

Elias took a deep breath, he wasn't going to get angry, it wasn't going to him any good. "Naliah, are you that desperate to find a reason to say no, to me? Are you that scared that I'm going to burt you?." Elias grabbed her gently by the shoulders and brought her in close, "You are giving me questions that I cannot hope to answer, I swear to you by all the gods in the Aztec sky that this one will never leave, this one will always be by your side, I love Naliah" he screamed as he pulled her in closer and lingered over her lips, he wanted to kiss them, but was not certain if it was the best moment to be doing so, and so his lingered just above hers, intoxicated by her sweet scent.

(hey my fault, din see that last blurb of green heh)
Cymarron's head tilted. two versions. one that tyler used, and then the one Ecara used. but Tyler seemed to agree with Ecara, so he used that version.
" Kay. Ell. Emm. Enn. Oh. Pee. We are doing good so far, yes? Tyler approves of how we make our sounds?"
He smiled at teh boy, and let him feel important, and needed. it also served to take his mind of that conversation between Elias and Nailah, both for the child and himself.

Bastet would have been nervous had she been given time to be, but this just sort of happened. She was however unsure of what they would think of her and having another member of the family, but Nelphean seemed excited enough. As each person was introduced she nodded to them and noted the resemblance between Nelphean's children and himself. She of course already knew Aurora and saw that she was back in her wolf form.
With a smile, "Hello, and stating the obvious, I am of course Bastet and glad to finally meet everyone that he mentions." The cat woman gave a look to Nelphean as she looped her arm through his, "You know he talks a lot and he especially speaks a lot of others, including his family." Bastet saw the weapons they had and wondered about fighting any of them, for sparring purposes, nothing more. She vaguely remembered seeing some of them the day that Shez invaded the manor.

His ears had picked up the disturbance before his feelings found anything, he followed the noise, somewhat concerned. He could tell that the situation was... He remained in the shadows, but near enough that he could intervine if something were to get too violent. Nelphean considered his feelings, he really didn't like other males in this manor...

((that's okay. it happens))
TYler laughed. "Pee." He nodded and siad "Yep Mr. Cynammon you're dong great. Mommy would be very happy. Next comes Q-R-S- and T. And now we're almost done." He rocked back on his heels and waited.
((and i missed yours Elias...god I'm on a blonde moment roll tonight sweatdrop )) Niah jerked in his hold and looked up at him through tear-bright eyes. "I 'm not searching for reasons to say no to you Elias. I just...I can't even consider you that way while you're still in love with your wife. I don't want to be replaced and you've done nothing to show me I'm not. You said it yourself I remind you of her. I never want to be used again..." seh said quietly. "Alex did that and I dont want..." She shook her head. He wasn't getting it. She dropped her head to his chest and sighed. She didn't want to have to spell it out for him but she may have to.

"Lets do this in an-" Nelphean was about to say orderly fasion, but no sooner did Bastet finish her thoughts as His family swarmed her. Taria and Sylphina ariving right after Aurora stood up and leaned against her. They gathered around Bastet, all talking at once, nothing really getting through. Aurora licked Bastet's cheek and backed away.
Ke'Nel managed to make his way to Bastet, and softly kissed her on the cheek. "Corellon's blessings and honour." He whispered into her ear, as he slowly shifted out of the crowd. Leaving the two daughters and the three friends.
Nelphean smiled at Bastet, "Warm greetings."
