Sandpaw looked up in shock. "That's what I'm supposed to do right?" She stopped and took a few steps back, unsure of what she was supposed to do.

Icefoot attempted to stand, and hissed as her weak foot buckled and grew hot with pain. "and they call demselfs' medicince cats, not even remembering to give me my herbs..." The elder mumbled angerily. Icefoot limped over to the medcine cats den and sat down with an angry thump. "Hey! Anybody in there?" She barked. She wasn't normally in this foul of a mood, but the pain in her paw made her rougher then a badger.

Sandpaw's ears turned in the direction of an angry elder's voice. Uh oh, Icefoot's angry. She looked from her mentor to the opening of the den, quickly deciding that an upset elder was the bigger threat. Sandpaw ran to the area of the den where the herbs were kept and grabbed the necessary herbs. I think these are the right ones. Her foot's hurting right? She quickly set them back down into the original piles, and ran to check. "Icefoot, what's the matter? I'm sorry it took me so long, be we had a bit of a situation."

Icefoot scoffed, but said nothing about Sandpaw's situation. "My paw is just acting up, and this humid weather is making me stiffer then a watching owl." Icefoot lay down slowly in front of the den. Her mind wondered to the gathering, and the elder wondered if Sandpaw had been there. Maybe she could get the apprentice to tell her about it. I never get any news anymore...

Brookeye mewed a quick 'Yes' to Sandpaw's question from before, and looked over to Icefoot. "Ah, I'm sorry we took so long." She mewed, looking down at Icefoot's paw. "Perhaps the apprentices could fetch you some fresh moss? That's helpful for winter, when elder's joints get stiff."

"That would be wonderful" Icefoot meowed blandly. "What I'd like even more- other then herbs -Is some news from that gathering. I've heard alot of whispers, but no cat seems willing so share any news." Icefoot was beginning to feel better already. Sure, her foot still hurt- but she wasn't so lonley any more.

Rowanclaw prowled out of the warriors den letting out a long, lazy, yawn. Walking towards the fresh-kill pile she picked up a round mouse and sat down to eat.

Brookeye shook her head. "Sorry, I wasn't able to attend to the Gathering. You see, I acquired a small illness. It wouldn't help anyone to give all the cats whitecough."

Sandpaw shuffed her paws. "I couldn't go either, I was helping Brookeye get better. And I think you're doing much better. Do you feel any better Brookeye?" She directed her attention back towards her mentor.

Icefoot sighed. She would have to get her news from somewhere else. "Are you almost done with my paw?" She asked irritably. Her voice was sharp, however her whiskers twitched, betraying her thankfulness.

"Oh, right. Sorry, Icefoot." Sandpaw grabbed the ball of herbs in her mouth and walked over to Brookeye. "Yrr gonn be ookyyy?" She tried to ask Brookeye.

Brookeye nodded. "I'll be just fine, I promise." She looked over Icefoot's paw again. "Just try not to strain your paw. And don't stay out in the cold too much, either, but that's obvious."

Sandpaw trotted over to Icefoot, now with moss in her mouth, and tryied to say, "Let's go and fix this thing okay?" But it ended up coming out as, "Le's go nd fic this thng, oka" With that said, she walked into the elder's den and got to work.

Icefoot was able to understand Sandpaw's mumbling- She has had much experiance with apprentices -and she stuck her weak paw out for the medicince apprentice. "It's sore and very stiff, and I can't extend it properly..." Icefoot took the oppertunity to demonstrate, lifting up her paw and attempting to flex, flinching slightly with the pain.
