Kataio led him to her house slowly. "What was with the dear and lovely comments?" She asked Aricin lightly wondering where to start on the teaching. "It's not that I mind it's just that you don't... You haven't said that to me before." Kata smiled at him hoping not to embarrass him too much.

Aricin looked at her and with abnormal candor replies without a blush... "You told me to be a dear... and well I sort of liked the speachless look on Trivii's face... and played it up... I'll stop if you want me to."

"No, no I really don't mind at all. I am just not used to anyone telling me that so I was kinda shocked." She smiled and nudged his arm a bit. "If you would like to continue please do. I don't mind one bit." She pointed at the door just ahead. "This is me."

Giving her a one armed hug and leaving his arm across her shoulders he smiles, and looks at the door she gestured at. "Alright so do you want to start to explain this before or after you terrify me?"

Kata said coyly, "Oh terrify? How would I do that?" She patted his hand and opened the door leadin him in. "It really very simple." She shut the door behind them and led him to her room. Kataio rumaged through her bag and pulled out a medium bag. "Everything we need is in here. So where would you like to do it?"

"Well.... uhmm..." Looking flustered, Aricin blinked, nodding and glancing around..."I wouldn't want you to have to hurt yourself for a test..." glancing around again, "We can do this wherever you feel comfortable.... are you going to use everything in that bag?" He looks slightly hesitant... as though he wa sfine with the idea.. but actually.....

Kataio smiled. "Ether here or at the table down stairs. It shouldn't take too long to get the initial results." She looked around. "Why don't se just stay here? You can write on the night stand and sit in that chair I keep in the corner and I will sit on the bed." Kata placed the bag on the bed lightly careful not to break anything.

*About 2 hours later*
Trivii was done unpacking at the clinic, so leaving a note for the pair she took a walk through town... flicking her gaze here and there.... enjoying the gentle breeze... she could smell moisture in the air though... the equinox was coming.... there would be fog later that night unless she was mistaken... glancing over at the team working on the foundation for the school she hesitated... maybe it would be best if she helped... they should get the foundation in before the ground froze... and if it was cool enough for fog, then it was cool enough for frost....
Aproaching the group she flicked her gaze over them looking for a familiar face.. only vaguely recognizing two of the other guardians she called out with a casual cheerful voice to the crew digging the foundation... "Hey all... need a hand?"

Io and Ice walked out of the house, heading away from the town by mutual, silent consent. Ice shoved her hands into her pockets, not sure what to say. It had been a while since they had talked...
Mom, I-- Io stopped, something catching her eye. She turned, walking towards two people that had just landed, her shoulders squared as she reached Cern. Without a thought she reached up and slapped him across the face. No, it wasn't good enough for you to not talk to me here after you changed, was it. You had to go and run off to space for a few months!
She poked him in the chest, completely shocking Ice. Before Cern had left Masquerade Io hadn't even bothered to talk to him. It was confusing. I wasn't finished being mad at you, Cern! Io finished, tears threatening as she turned, crossing her arms across her chest in an unconscious hug.

Io! He held his hand to his face, stunned. She'd packed some power into that! Her following poke tilted him a little further off balance. Io, I didn't have much choice. I couldn't leave Ed then, and she had to be with _her_ family. And what are you talking about, didn't TALK to you? You were practically avoiding me! Every time I turned around you were with Galilee, or Fauve, or Ashy! He grabbed her shoulders and tried to force her to look at him. Please Io, I didn't want to make you mad, I did everything I could to force Ed into returning earlier than she wanted. Please, please, just look at me. I'm sorry Io, I never meant to hurt you again. And I've missed you, a lot. So please, look at me! He relaxed his grip on her shoulders, simply allowing his hands to rest on her.

... She leaned back on him, still pouting. Fine. But now I'm talking to you so now you've got no excuse for skipping out without telling me. She said, turning with a watery smile. I'm tired, Cern... But--but now I'm not so alone. My uncle is here and--and Pop grew up. I don't know if he knows who I am or not, but--
She sighed, shrugging. I don't think I can handle any more changes right now. She turned, not looking at him for a second. How was your trip?

Taking the chance that she'd slap him, Cern put his arms around her completely, inhaling the smell of her hair. You've got your uncle, Ice, glad to hear about your father, I'll have to pay my respects. He pauses. And you've got me, but you always did. Just not long distance anymore. His heart is pounding hard enough to make him wonder if Io can feel it. The trip was much too long, but Ed finally agreed that it was time to come home.
He had to fight the urge to run his fingers through her hair. Home. It feels great to be back Io. And to not bruise easily.
