USS Dauntless - Mess Hall Marcus left shortly after his chat with Lieutenant Petite and decided to go into the holo-deck to test the ship in combat.
Holo-deck 1 "Computer run simulation, Dauntless". "DEFINE PARAMETERS". "The USS Dauntless fights a 22nd Century Bird of Prey." "HAVE A SEAT CAPTAIN AND SPECIFY WHEN TO BEGIN". The holodeck turned into the small bridge of the USS Dauntless with all of its bridge crew. The simulation was frozen until he gave the go ahead.

Marcus arrived on the bridge after taking the turbo lift from the holo-deck. It was quiet in space but, it was a soft hum inside the silver wings. He walked to the plaque on the wall and brushed it off before heading to viewing screen and looked across the bridge to everyone. "Four years in the Beta Quadrant. How do you all feel?" They all looked at each other then the captain. The sentiment that went around was, honor, duty, mercy, caution, courage and adventure. The captain smiled because, he shared the same sentiment.

S.S. PentallionNCC-76788"The black sea . . . I've never felt so at home all alone." Location: Deep Space 12 Warp Factor: 5/Negligible - Docked Stardate: 63698.8 "Don't want to leave her now . . . you know I believe in how . . ." Milo hummed along to the music pulsating through the small Danube class runabout, the music, though three centuries old, still some of the best he had heard. He sat up from his bunk in the auxiliary section of the runabout as the light above him pulsed blue twice - he'd set it to do so once he came within a minute's range of DS12. He smoothed down the bunk, closed it off with a cursory dial of the LCARS control panel just above it, before continuing through to the cockpit. The runabout, by all accounts, wasn't exactly messy, nor was it tidy per se - it just lived in. Milo accidentally trod on an isolinear chip, though the blue medium seemed unbroken, and threw it on the port console before sliding into the helm. Numerous PADDs, of all origins and sizes, dotted the cockpit, as well as a spare ODN relay and some other odds and sods. Milo distantly recalled a need to clean up before he dropped out of warp. It was annoying having to travel at warp 5, especially when he was more used to the warp 7 or 8 you got on a Nyberrite cruiser, but he would have to make do until he could find something with an engine that could sustain faster speeds. 'Still, gives me plenty of opportunity to catch up on my reading and music.' It was ridiculously easy for the runabout to dodge the numerous ingoing and outgoing ships around Deep Space 12, and Milo was docking with the station in a matter of minutes. While his ship was given a once-over by the station personnel (he'd thrown a bit of money the dock-managers way), he checked up with all his contacts, who confirmed his thoughts - if he wanted something worth fighting for, Beta Cestus III was the place to go. Milo grabbed a quick glass of Romulan ale at the Grill, figuring some fortification couldn't go amiss for his upcoming 'interview', and returned to his ship, which had had a touch-up on the paint amongst other things, which was soon undocked and headed back the way it had came, though this time the Pentallion didn't go to warp once it had hit the free-zone and instead adjusted course slightly before the nacelles flashed their brilliant blue, headed toward the Beta Cestus system. "Sun, sun, sun, here it comes . . ."

Around a month into its long voyage in from the outer edges of the quadrant, the ship had run into some unexpected gremlins in the engines forcing her to run on impulse for a few weeks while repairs were being done, but before long, despite the temporary nature of the repairs, she was back to full throttle and cruising along towards DS12. All these delays had been a bit of an inconvenience, but the Hyrule was in no rush to get anywhere so all the down time became a great opportunity for some on board 'shore leave'. But all that had past, at least for the time being as the Hyrule dropped out of warp and came up on DS12, coasting into range before starting docking procedures.

The Claymore arrives at DS12 from Noctus Reticuli and docks for resupply. When the ship's supplies have been replenished, George hails the station and files his acceptance of the Hephaestus mission and awaits assignment to a ship to escort. After a brief wait the Claymore is assigned the USS Columbus. The two ships move into formation and depart for Hephaestus at warp 6.

When the message detailing trouble at Noctus Reticuli comes in to the communications array George notifies the Columbas and DS12 that he is aborting the escort mission to reply to the request for help. He then receives a message from Susan on the Gladius that she is responding to the distress call and the Claymore heads for Noctus Reticuli at maximum warp.

"It is only through Fire that Steel is Forged." - Quote on the Chimera's Commission Plate
Docking bay 11 has been tightly sealed for the better part of 4 months, the Massive refit project inside taking large amounts of time money and effort. A cargo vessel from the Alpha Quadrant had arrived halfway through the process, deliverering a new set of warp Nacelles it had towed from earth spaced dock along with a number of smaller vectored thrust jets and other new hardware.
All that was in the Past now as DS12 Control cleared a space lane before the mammoth doors. Warning lights flashed at its corners as the seal crack to reveal the ship within, only lit by it own running lights. With a gentle pulse from its impulse engines it glided through the opening an into the space beyond.
Its easy to see the ship as an akira class, but this Akira looked different from the standard design, the Nacelles, impulse engines and Assault pod were all larger than norm and the trademark Fighter bay doors were completely absent. Unlike the somewhat awkward looking handling Akira, this Vessel seemed to display a certain grace in its movements. The ships name was painted proudly on the dark gray hull, USS Chimera. This was the Mythic reborn, Flagship of the 43rd Fleets Alpha flight.
Toko barely managed to contain the wide smile he wanted to show as he sat on the new bridge of his ship. It wasn't quite a maiden voyage, after all, the ship was still the Mythic at its heart but the changes had been so radical to the vessel Toko felt it had warranted the name change. Like the legendary beast from myth, This vessel was both new and old. Part one thing and part something else. And It was just as deadly as its name sake.
"All systems are showing green. We are ready to being the new warp core online, sir." Said Lt. Ried. Toko nodded slight. "Put us in a station keeping position near the starbase, Please tell Engineering that they may proceed. An do be careful." he allowed himself a slight smile. "It her first time." Lt. Ried Grinned, "Yes, Sir."
The Chimera easily shifted into its new station. As she came to a stop the dark Nacelles began to glow, as energy was shunted into them for the first time.

After George Marcus receives a message form Susan onboard the Gladius that the rescue was completed without incident the Claymore returns to DS12 for an overhaul. When the Claymore arrives at DS 12, George files purchase and installation orders for two more class I burst-fire tubes, both the class I and class II energy weapon upgrades, and a multi-phasic shield overhaul upgrade.

With a trio of flashes the 43rd fleet dropped out of warp in DS12 space, the Almac and Fenrir taking up flanking position around the Chimera. Toko was feeling good about his meeting with the Ferengi. With feelers out looking for the Pirates he could take a little more time looking around for them. "Captain, we're receiving orders from DS12 Command, I says were to escort the USS Arcadia to the Hephestus system." Said Lt. Ried from his post. Toko sighed to himself. "What? Another mission escorting a little Nova class unable to defend itself?" He shook his head. "Umm, no sir. It seems the Arcadia Just arrived through the transwarp gate from the Alpha quadrant." Ried was sifting through data files, looking up information on the Arcadia, "She's Refit Ambassador Class, from what I'm seeing she's quite the powerful vessel." Toko's eyebrow rose slightly. "Is that so? Interesting. Open a hail to the Vessel. Bring us along side." The three vessels moved forward, gracefully gliding to the location of the Arcadia. As they approached the Larger vessel, a hail was sent out. "This is Fleet Captain Toko Akumu to the Captain of the USS Arcadia. It seems were going to be working together for a bit."
