My last post made me remember something else I wanted to rant about. If I ever complain about anyone it's probably this guy who was our top right before I got out. The guy before him was great, knew everyone by first name, had an open door policy, knew about our family situations, really cared. Probably why he makes the guy after him look like 10 times the douche. One day we were having pt and this guy decided it would be a good idea to run about five miles on a crapton of huge hills even though the weather was really freakin cold and it looked like it was going to rain. It started sprinkling right at the beginning of the run and had been doing so all day. We were running in ability groups and I was in the slowest group (I have sucked at running since my first kid.) He ran with us to like "motivate" us or something. We started out before everyone else. Now, when it started raining I don't believe any groups had passed us yet so he could have had everyone turn around. Did he? Of course not! Running in the rain is SOOOO motivated. And of course there's that stupid saying "If it ain't rainin' we ain't trainin." Of course this statement sounds uneducated enough without even bringing it's subject into question. So we all keep running and we're all wearing either sweats and sweatshirts, just one or the other, or both with the addition of a warm cap (which is what I wore). One girl was wearing 2 sweatshirts and sweats and a cap. So we keep running through the rain and it starts raining harder. People start passing us. We get soaked through before we're even half done. The fast runners are probably almost done. But us slow people... no. So we eventually start to lose body heat because the temperature is dropping, it starts to hail, and we're running through puddles that are inches deep. He's telling everyone to hurry up. We have hail collecting on our sweats because they're wet and not keeping us warm. We finally get back and I was so freakin cold that my sweatshirt and my skin were icy. My husband had to help me take off my sweatshirt, which I dropped in a cold, sodden mass at my feet and my whole body was red with cold and my lips were probably sort of blue. I get sick for the next 3-5 days. I spent my whole weekend sick, like REALLY sick, and the doctor put me on quarters for the 3rd day so I missed a day of my arabic refresher class and felt crappy the rest of the week. I think the CO was a tiny bit peeved with our top for going out but that was IT. He used the lame excuse that it didn't look that bad when we started but of course, he didn't even have the safety vehicle following behind that is required by Marine Corps regs... If he had, the slow people could have gotten in. The run lasted about 30 minutes for the fast people, who missed the hail and stuff, and about an hour for the slow people. Okay, I'm done ranting now.

I knew I forgot something. Give me a sec! Edit: I accepted all but one- all the ones with a "join reason" that was legit. (besides, I knew most of them. ^-^) Nem, I left one because she didn't leave a join reason- should I drop her a PM and find out her reason?

(find out her reason that is) I agree we shouldn't accept join requests that don't have a reason.

plus, most of the times it's "hey..i saw your guild..."

Nemone What can I say.... except... OMG my cat ate her flea medicine exclaim *jumps for joy* XD! Congrats! Zero: Yeah, we read them. "Hey, I saw your guild" isn't exactly what we're looking for- that's how you get a lot of dead members, who are in it for kicks. This way we know that we have active members who enjoy posting here. ... does anyone know how to express oil? (See Recipes for Distaster for more info)

*gerks her way through the last of her tea* Ugh. I know that it'll do me good, but here's a reason I like modern medicine: It doesn't -taste- so bad. I mean, in the long run this will be better, but it's bitter. *shudder, licks lips* Yerk. It was agrimony and raspberry leaf, with a bit of honey and lemon for flavor. But yugh, it's all bitter by the end, and I'm not so good with bitter. I'm seriously gonna look into that glycerine tincture. If I could make this into a tincture, it would go down a lot faster.
