I discovered the wonder of pocky through the wonder of anime *insert sigh of contentment here* My friend and I-after our first encounter with the advertisement of pocky in an anime (think it was onegai twins first...) got us extremely curious and we made a pact that one day -ONE DAY- we would find this wonderous food of the anime gods and make it our own!
Indeed, this was a harrowing time for us as there seemed to be noplace which understood our craving- no, our NEED for the release of Pocky goodness. Finally, one day, it happened. Someone walked into anime night with a box of chocolate pocky and we found out that what we sought was "At the friendship store" *shakes head sadly* Even then our oath seemed doomed to being forever thwarted as we could not seem to find this wonderous pocky haven.
Anyhoo, to cut this short we found out perhaps two months later that this store was maybe five minutes away from where anime night is held and we've not looked back since 3nodding
Later on I myself discovered that two more flavors (plus strawberry and chocolate of course) were being sold at a bulk food store not far from my College n__n This is where I discovered my love of white mousse smile
My friend and I introduced it to many friends and it was ammusing to watch the curiosity and suspicion wash across their face as we randomly handed it to them offering the simple explaination of "Pocky" before making them eat it blaugh
(To those of you who read this whole thing AND found this wee bit at the bottom, I commend you and offer you a free pocky-laden avvie (as seen in my siggy below) to your specifiations. Pm me for more details... and if more people see this then first calculated...I'm in trouble >.<)
