Knowing they would get some good horses, he started back to the room. He was glad for not having to leave. And the East Gate would put them out of harms way, supposedly. That as much would be a Light given blessing to them. They needed some rich luck to see them out without a fight.
His return to the room was halted as the innkeeper stopped him, parchment in hand. Listening, he nodded and took the letter. It was the least he could do. Looking around, he whispered quietly where no one could hear.
"Thank you, friend. You do not know what it means to us. There will be gold left on the table in a silken bag. Take it. It is what you are justly due." Turning, as if not getting what he wanted, he acted the arrogant Lord and stormed back into the room. Once the door was shut, he didn't so much as appear arrogant. He did appear stately, but it was something beyond his control. He carried that air of authority and there wasn't any way he could belittle it.
"In a moment we will have horses out back waiting for us. Make sure you are ready to go. We are leaving through the East Gate as soon as we mount. Do not stop, and if you get separated, do not slow down. We will only be able to wait for so long." He picked up his armor bundle and unlaced it on the table. The pieces came apart easily and quickly he put them on his person. The only article to leave his body was the cape he wore. It was too awkward to wear with the armor.
In a matter of a few moments he had packed away the cape and soon in his redesigned armor. Looking back to Tazmin, he thanked her. The jet black, non glossy armor was something that amazed him in its appearance. It looked very elegant, but not evil. Something rarely pulled off with black.
"Also, we will be going to Tear. If we do get separated, find us at the Shining Pike." With that, he picked up his smaller bundle and left the room, leaving behind the bag of gold he said he would. Out back, the horses were almost ready. Choosing a dark gray stallion, he secured his bags and mounted, waiting for the group to catch up.

(As an Asha'man)
Stepping out of the gateway nearby the Palace, he searched for any sign of his colleagues. The Seanchan were not near hidden position he had Traveled to, so he could easily step out and work his way through the city. He didn't need a hundred Seanchan swarming him and trying to kill him. It just wouldn't be pleasant.
"Light forsaken city is just a troubled hotspot waiting to happen." His orders were to find anyone he could and report about the newest happenings in the Borderlands. He didn't figure any Asha'man were left here, but he had to arrive and search just in case.
Reaching out, he began sensing for any Channelers that might be nearby. He'd have to stumble upon them, but it was the onyl chance he had. He began walking the streets in a fast fashion. He wore his black garb as he was told, but the pins were stashed inside one of his pouches. Let people look him over and thing he's just a joke. It was his best disguise.
Dozens of streets yielded no results. He was about to give up when a carriage outside an inn caught his attention. Walking towards it, he saw a one eyed man and a bodyguard with long braids about to enter the Inn. Realizing who the one-eyed man was, he picked up his pace to a swift run, dodging between people and working as fast as he could to get there.
"I bring news from the farm," he said as he got within hearing distance. The two, Seluth and Aorn if he remembered them from the short, few visits they had at the Black Tower, stopped to regard him for a moment. As he was clos enough to talk quietly, he did, glad to have their attention. "There's a fort in the Borderlands that's been attacked and barely survived, but it still stands. Trolloc armies are advancing on it to destroy it and if that falls, an army could slip through without any notice. This oculd be a bad war to get involved in."
He watched for a reaction and received nothing so he went on. "Furthermore, the farm sent out enough messengers to find the groups of Asha'man that are out on missions, but there was only a handful of us to send out the warning. If you wish to help, I can see you there. If not, I understand. Resources are minimal and stretched too far to count for much good right now. Will you help defend the fort that survives?"

Seluth frowned as he listened to the explanation, first from Nanako and then from Kai. From the bits and pieces he was being told, he surmised that one of the women had channelled saidar. The Asha'man almost couldn't believe it. How bloody foolish could you get? In Illian! Arvar passed his gaze over the occupants of the room, his gaze resting for a time on Gwynne. He didn't know her. And therefore, he didn't trust her. Not yet.
As Kai finished the explanation, he looked sharply at the youth. "You are telling me that there is a Seanchan with us now?" Now Seluth really couldn't believe it. These people were out to conquer the continent, enslave every wielder of saidar and kill every wielder of saidin. And he was supposed to travel with one?
As Addin came downstairs and asked about a suldam, Seluth's expression turned first to one of mild incredulity, followed by exasperation. What had they done? There was certainly no two ways about it, in his view. Too much had been done, and too loudly. They couldn't stay here for long if they wished to remain unharmed.
Quietly, as calmly as he could muster, he spoke again. "To say that this situation is a mess would be an incredible understatement. If certain skills could have remained hidden, then we would have been much safer. I'm going to speak with Aorn, Liana and Tarma. They need to know about this."
Turning on his heel, Arvar walked back out of the inn again. Simply, he spoke to the others outside. "There's been some trouble" He would have continued, if a vaguely familiar man had not approached them at that point. He glanced at the man. Then he realised where he knew the face from. He was an Asha'man.
Quizzically, the Arafellin gazed at the new arrival, offering him a polite greeting. He wondered what this was about. From the way the other Asha'man had run to catch their attention, the news must be urgent indeed.
Seluth listened to the man speak, a frown growing on his features. Once the explanation was finished, Seluth nodded his head faintly. "The creatures of shadow cannot be allowed to break through from the Blight." The frown remained on his face as he turned to Aorn, speaking quietly to him. "We cannot stay in this city in any case. Thanks to some incredibly foolish actions, the Seanchan will most likely be alert to us soon, if not already"
Turning back to the other Asha'man, Seluth addressed him again. "If the group will allow it, I will assist. I cannot willingly sit back and allow shadowspawn to spill into the Borderlands. But firstly, we all need to get out of this accursed city."

Back in the room he had just finnished with retying the bindingson the still unconciouse Sul'dam, finninshing the last note he noted that his ring glowed once again, red this time, he doubted that it was one of his companions as they new better. Deciding that it was time to leave, Looking at the sul'dam he scratched his head.now what do do with you? Shall we hid ye here or take you with us and dump you on the way. *Opening the door and looking out he only saw the occasional servant, no Darz or Aorn appeared. A feeling of haste came to him. Comming to the best decision that he could he called to one of them he explained what he needed, After a few minnuits a trunk was delivered, and for a silver he was its new owner. Thanking the two that had carried it up he closed the door and began the ordiouse(sp) task of placing the Suldame in the chest. Greatully the suldam didnt make a tight fit inthe chest, but actully had a bit of room to move around. just as he was about to close and lock the lid he Thought about what darz would say, changeing his mind he made some breathing holes before shutting the lid on the suldam. After making a short letter to the innkeeper to deliver the chest to a certain expensive smith, he gathered his pack and headed down the back stairs and out the back door.

Kurai looked on as talk sprang back among her travleing compainoins. She shook her head and ran a hand through her hair, as if to scatter a bird of a thought away.
"Aorn.........."She murrmured and looked towards the door, expectantly.

kishou Gwynne blinked twice. He has no idea what he's speaking like... Suddenly remembering Nikoru's presence, she turned to look at the Aes Sedai for a moment before turning her gaze back to Darz. She chose her words carefully. "You speak as one of the faithful to the Lord Dragon. As one who walks the Hall..." Suddenly it sank in that if he was the ancient Aes Sedai his dialect insisted he was, it meant she was speaking to a male channeler, one doomed to go mad in the end. Was amnesia a sign of madness? Gwynne found herself glad that there were Aes Sedai near, a sensation nearly as unfamiliar and unsettling as that of the man himself. "The taint must hold you..." she whispered, her voice shaking with fascinated horror. She stepped back, instinctively reaching for saidar and catching only the cruel laugh of her block. "Aes Sedai," she whispered to Nikoru, "he may be able to channel." My Lord Dragon, protect me! she screamed silently, futilely. (OOC edit: 100th IC guild post!) Nikoru gave Gwynne a look that said she wasn't sure what she was worried about. Tilting her head to the side, she raised an eyebrow at Gwynne before speaking in a confused tone of voice. "Gwynne, child, we travel with many Asha'man. They should not be feared by friends. If he can channel, so be it." Closing her eyes briefly, she turned, as if to go. Then Markus informed her that he was getting horses for their group. Once he had returned, she was ready to depart. Stepping outside, she chose a gray mare, one that reminded her somewhat of Tora, her faithful horse she had left behind. She hoisted herself up onto the horse, which seemed a little nervous at first, since she didn't smell quite like a normal human, what with being wolfkin and all, but she quickly calmed it and turned to Markus. "It seems there is no rest for the weary these days..I would give anything to be able to just stay in one place for a week. Just a week."

Selene just kept nodding her head dully, barely hearing a thing Jazral was saying. When they stopped outside the city to wait for the others Selene just slid off Thunder silently. "I knew I should've slept in my bed and not on the table, I'm just glad all of my gold was in my room." Selene just remembered something that made her smile a bit. "While you were gone I was an Illuminator, had to have something to explain my clothes. So I was, less then an Aes Sedai..."
Selene just couldn't bring herself to tell him exactly, not without some pushing of course. She knew she'd eventually tell him but she didn't want to tell him just yet. Grinning she picked a small flower and twirled it between her thumb and index finger.

*Walking to the stables he noticed that there was more activity, cathcihgin hold of one of the inns servince he asked what was going on. letting the man continue on he continued on and entered the stables. Noticing that Jazraals and Selene Sadia's horses had already gone, he quicky went to saddle tsorovan. Seeing several of his companions he noticed that a stranger in a dark coat was conversing with Seluth, then on the other side he saw Markus and Nikoru both parties seemed to be occupied so he decided to just sit and wait tell a decision and distenation was made known to him.

Darz nods at the mention of Lews Therin as Lord Dragon. He is surprised by her sudden change in demeanor. He has no way of telling just what she is thinking, especially as Darz has no idea what the Breaking even is. Had she spoken of it or events leading up to it, he would only look at Gywnne as the ignorant would to the truth. Darz looks at her with a curious look, wondering what she's whispering about. He's even more curious of what she is thinking.
Yes, Lady? What Hall do you speak of? Do you know something of me? Truely! I...I must know...
That image returns as Darz pleads to learn something...anything of himself. He doesn't have anything. He doesn't even has his memories. No... Darz almost laughs as he recalls his sword, Silver Wind. He had that. He looks back to Gywnne, tilting his head. He still has an anxious look in his face, pleading to know of himself, but he also has a smile alight upon it.

He had that. He looks back to Gywnne, tilting his head. He still has an anxious look in his face, pleading to know of himself, but he also has a smile alight upon it. Nikoru's perplexity stopped Gwynne's fear dead in its tracks. If an Aes Sedai, even a Green wolfsister twice collared by the Seanchan, had no particular fear of male channelers, it had to mean there was a reason to be unconcerned. And there was Selene, who had surely known of the Asha'man and also showed no worry. A moment passed as Gwynne's most basic beliefs about the nature of Aes Sedai teamed with her curiosity against seventeen years of being taught to fear male channelers. The thirst for knowledge won, and Darz's words begged her to say more. She eyed him with a strange combination of unease and intense interest. If he was what he seemed... But how? She opened her mouth, closed it again, and shook her head as if to clear it, trying to remember fragments of lore dulled and distorted by two Ages of decay. "The Hall of Servants, da'es shan." She decided to take a wild risk. "You stood in the Hall alongside the Lord Dragon to battle Shai'tan." Only one who was what this man seemed to be would react mildly to that name. Gwynne braced herself for the entire room to explode around her. In her mind, a mantra repeated itself over and over.
I curse the name of the Lord of the Grave for all time until and after time's end, even should he break the Wheel. I walk in the Light, and never shall Sightblinder know loyalty from me. Leafblighter shall not wither my soul. I am a wolf to the sheep of the Shepherd of the Night. I curse the name of the Lord of the Grave for all time until and after time's end, even should he break the Wheel. I walk in the Light, and never shall Sightblinder know loyalty from me. Darz reacts as Gywnne would expect one from that era, the Age of Legends. He is hardly even taken aback by the name of the Dark One, spoken aloud. It's obvious he has hatred in his eyes for the one named, but that is it. It is as if he doesn't see the negativity in naming the enemy, not sharing in this era's knowledge of bad luck. The Hall of Servants, however, draws a completely different reaction in his mind. Darz holds up, with great pride, his...serving within it. He nods, almost far too complacient.
What you speak...has an air of familiarity...
Darz can't place it. Why was it so familiar. In his mind, he easily crosses Lord Dragon and Lews Therin, freely calling him either in his mind's eye. Darz watches Gwynne and the rest within the room...completely unawares of the reaction that may, very well, be taking place soon. Afterall, in his mind, there is no such taboo placed upon the Dark One's name.

Since her arrival, everyone had looked at her crosseyed and acted as if they would slit her throat given a chance alone. It made her uneasy, but no one acted on anything. She just stood by and watched, hoping that Markus would put things right if they were wrong. Much like he did with the Marath--Aes Sedai. What kind of man can command Aes Sedai such as this? Their stories tell of Aes Sedai bending to no man. But why him? She had much more to learn.
When the group began leaving due to her people coming, she didn't quite understand. Apparently the women had done something that should attract attention, but she didn't have a clue what. It was like being blind. She hated it, but she dealt with it.
Picking up her gear, she made sure her armor was tightly about her and her sword was placed properly on her hip. Her saddlebag went over her shoulder as she followed Markus. He said he woudl get horses, and horses he got. In the stableyard, there was a white gelding that caught her attention. Strapping her saddlebags, she looked at the others for a moment. Since leaving the harbor, she had yet to say a single word. For honesty's sake, she was frightened to talk, as if Markus could not protect her from the rest of his colleagues. Death would send her into an afterlife of betrayal, but what else did she have if she had betrayed her own people? Nothing could clear that from her conscious.
Sitting in the saddle with a stiffness that came before battle, she loosened her sword in the scabbard. It was a soothing motion, but did little else to calm her knotted stomach. She watched Markus, admiration hiding behind the fear that enveloped her eyes.

Jazral eye Selene oddly, knowing full well she was holding something back. "What is it Selly?" A look of convern came across His face as he sat there in the grass . He watched Selene idoly pick a small flower from the grass and fidget with it. He eyed her sternly "Selene you know you can tell me anything, "

::Kai stepped to the far side of the room and sat in a chair, facing the door. He placed his bokken by him, ready to grab should the door open unexpectedly. If this group of hotheads decided to stay any longer, he was gone. He pulled out the book from his bag and ran his hand across the embossed symbol of the double-headed eagle. He could only lick his lips in anticipation of the time when he could sit down and study it better. Replacing it, he looked up impatiently.:: We have lingered here too long. ::Kai said quietly to himself.::

"Allow me to gather my horse and my belongings. I will not be long." Turning away from the others, Seluth turned to head back inside the inn. Opening the door again, he noticed that some of the others had left the common room. Upstairs, probably, readying their belongings. Noticing that Kai was still seated in the room, sword beside him and a book in hand, he moved over to the youth.
"A matter of some urgency has just been brought to our attention outside. I'm afraid that I, and most likely Aorn as well, are going to have to leave the south at short notice. I'm going to gather my belongings."
With that, he left Kai and made his way up the stairs, rather more slowly than he would have liked. Once in his room, he set about changing his clothes, replacing the dressing on his wounded leg and packing his gear into his saddle bags.
He felt more comfortable in his blacks these days. They were a part of him, almost. Keeping his pins safely tucked away for now, Seluth pulled his black cloak back on, rolling up the one he had used for playing the part of a guard. Tugging the dark cloak closed over his blacks, the Asha'man slung his packed saddlebags over his shoulder, checked that he had everything and made his way back downstairs again.
Now he just had to ready the bay. After several days cooped up in a stable with no exercise, he almost dreaded to think how excitable and jumpy the highly strung stallion would be. This would be ...interesting.
