Leo opened his eyes as he smelt the cooking fish, he licked his lips and smiled, he stood and walked over to her, he kissed her on the head gently and smiled. He sat down and watched the fish quietly licking his lips as he thought about how good the slowly cooking fish would taste when it was finished cooking.

She looked at him a little blankly and grinned. She stared at the fire and to the book and the fire again. She tossed the book in the fire and smiled "It'll keep the fire going ha ha" She smiled up at him. "A few more minutes and they'll be done" She grinned and stood up trying to calm her thought down. I hate not getting something

Leo looked at her and smiled as she through the book into the fire, he stretched licking his lips softly, "You don’t need a stupid book when you have me to teach you," he said and smiled, "I know all the folk tails and stories, when you have lived as long as I have there is little else to do then learn stories."

Fayte looked at him and smiled "Really you'll teach me all of them?" Her grinned widened. She looked at the fish and cooled the fire with a small mumble of words and picked up the fish. "Here you go two for you and four for me ha ha" she laughed as she handed it to him. "Is it boring living as long as you have?" she looked at him a little questionably and started to eat her fish.

Leo took the fish smiling, "Sure, I'll teach you all I know," he gently started to pull the skin away from the flesh of the fish and sate a little, he thought about her question for a moment and nodded, "a lot has happened in my life but still it is boring yes," he looked at her with his cold red eyes, people often said that eyes where the window to the soul but in his eyes were nothing, he was soulless.

"Yay!" She took a bite of her fish and smiled "Now I get to lighten the weight in my bag" She looked at him a little sad as his eyes looked at her. She then smiled "Well now you have me to laugh at so I should at least make some of your years entertaining ha ha" she wanted to make him as happy as she could while she lived. No one should be that bored in life, I wonder what he would have done if things were different and his family lived... Would I not have met him then? I'd still be alone? She shuddered outwardly and ate some more fish. "Well it came out better than last time... I guess slow cooking is better even if you get really hungry after smelling it" she grinned at him trying to change the subject in her mind.

Leo watched her shudder and looked a little concerned, "Yes, it tastes great," he mumbled and continued to eat his fish, he quickly made his was through his first and started on his second, "mm you really are a great cook you know that?" he said quietly and smiled at her softly.

She looked up from her food to him and smiled at his compliment "Thanks! I try my best!" she was beaming with pride because of her cooking skills but stopped suddenly. She put her fish down and smiled at him and wrapped her arms around her stomach. "I'm not feeling good" her stomach hurt and she could feel herself want to get sick but wasn't able to. Why am I getting sick all of the sudden? "don't worry it wasn't the food ha ha" Is this part of what happens in the beginning of the Evo-gene's effect? I hope not I hope It's just normal... I'm a little scared She shook her head and grinned "It'll pass ha ha"

Leo stood up quickly and moved so he was sitting behind her, he pulled her back a little so she was leaning on his shoulder and he kissed her head gently as he started to stroke her hear, he let his wings out and used them to beat a little cool air at her, "Is this helping make you feel better?" he asked in a worried tone, "or do you want a drink of something, tell me and I’ll get you it."

She smiled at him and closed her eyes a little I'm tired again? She opened her eyes and looked up at him "It feels nice, I'm sorry you should eat, you can have the rest of mine too I'm not all that hungry anymore"She shook her head lightly as if getting rid of her thoughts "I don't wanna fall asleep..." she didn't realize she said it aloud until after she said it. She lifted her hand up to gently brush his cheek with her finger tips "I'm fine, I'll be fine don't worry love" She tried her best to sound convincing enough to help him not to worry so much about her.

Leo shook his head, "I will make sure you are ok before I eat," he said softly and continued to stroke her hair softly, "I love you," he whispered, "if you are tired you should sleep, I will not let anything happen to you I promise you that."

She laughed lightly and shook her head "I want you to eat before I go to sleep.. And I'm fine see?" She tried to get up but did so on wobbly legs "S-see." her eyes were closing and she sat back down and then laid down on his lap. "see I'm fine." she fell asleep again

Leo stayed still and stroked her softly, "I will make sure you are ok," he mumbled as he stroked her hair, "I love you so much and I will protect you for as long as I need to," he looked up at the clear sky cursing under his breath, he knew it had been too good to be true.

She was dreaming about her family, about what they were teaching her. She didn't understand at the time what they meant. 'I don't understand' She saw a big fire in the background and darkness that swallowed up her family and came towards her. She felt the flames in her dream lap at her skin her eyes flew open but she was asleep. She sat up and stared blankly at Leo but in her dream she saw nothing but a dark shadow. She reached her hand out and skimmed Leo's cheek with her fingers thinking she was touching the shadow "Do I know you" She stood up and then started walking around and stopped by the river. "what's calling me?" She lifted her hands over her ears and tried to wake up. The river looked as dark as blood and in her mind was as hot as lava. She couldn't understand what was hoping so she stood in one place hopping nothing will happen to her. "I don't understand... I don't understand what it means..."

Leo stood as she did and followed her, he saw her standing next to the river looking scared, he ran up and grabbed her from behind, he gently kissed her on the cheek and whispered and hit her hard off the back of the head, he knew that hitting her in such a way would not kill her, mealy make her pass out. He lifted her now limp body back to camp and started to pack her stuff, he wanted to get her to a town where she could get help.
