With Cain's continued sending of more pleasant thoughts Reselda seemed to calm down a bit during the nightmare periods though they still remained as long. The shield she had created around her slowly shrank before completely disappearing, letting the blanket fall to rest on her and she slightly came out of the tight ball she had pulled herself into though she still remained curled up in a ball, this one seeming more of habit then of fear. twisted

"Oh sorry." Noicing the guy now. "I spaced out for a minute. Yesh a family airloom. I'm sorry I just need a break from the city. I haven't the money for any of this." She smiles, the owner looked nice. Maybe she should go on and leave but felt she needed to stay for a moment out of curdsy. She may be a smartass to others but she was raised to have some manors and he hadn't peeved her off yet.

Jessy felt bad that she hadn't noticed the other customer that had come in. She became a little distracted when Ken had come in to use the phone. Then with the excitement of Mr. Arc coming in not only to pick up his young assistant but to purchase a very rare and expensive samurai sword. She could hardly believe it. After they had left she went into the back room looking for something to hang up in the place of the recently purchased sword. Jess almost forgot that she's still holding his business card.
Hurrying over to Mr. Marko she smiles at the customer. "Oh I'm sorry I didn't get to you sooner Miss." She turns to Cain,"When you have a moment, there are a couple of business items I need to disguss with you."

Cain nodded to both girls, smiling. Seems we've all been... pre-occupied. No problem, miss, if you ever need an appraisal, I often give them free. Look around more if you feel the need, perhaps some coffee, or a soda while your here? He nodded to Jessy, a practised move that said, basically, to keep her 'business' in mind for later. He felt Zel relax above him, and he felt, for the moment, that she was as ok as she could be. Maybe when she awoke he could let her concious mind help, but he felt their link already slipping, as he assumed the wound in her arm healed. When it was gone, prolly so was the mind-link. Prolly for the best, as he didn't want her to think that he was intruding on her thoughts. He wanted to be there when she awoke, if only to set her at ease.

"Wait, before you go and I head out, can you tell me if this necklace's history. It might just be a knock off but I'm just curious. I won't sell it but I want to know more about it." Hoping he'd agree to it. It might give her a clue on where to go next. At the moment she was just an aimless wonderer.

As Cain left the room, Kala lingered for a bit longer, but decided the best thing for her to do would be to keep her hands busy for awhile, and so she set about getting dinner ready for that evening, and tidying up from lunch, and just set about picking up the place...anything to just keep her hands busy. Unfortunately it didn't take long to do all that, and so Kala grabbed some cross-stitching she'd been working on of a dragon and wizard battle, and taking it to the bedroom she sat in a comfy arm chair near the window and began to work. Everyso often, she'd look up at Res, and finding her finally relaxed and quiet, she let herself relax as well. ((this is the actual pic that I'm doing for Draco-kun 4laugh ))

Cain took out a jeweler's eyeloop, scrutinizing the necklace as if the new girl were Jason Arc himself. Fascinating, actually, and he was in his element. He mentally caressed Zel, hoping that her rest would remain unbroken, and then turned his attention to the newcomer. No that he was focused on her, she jumped to the forefront, and he got a feeling of wanderlust from her, a long journey still to be completed. He felt the distance that this object had traveled, and it was far greater. great scrollwork, this is wonderful work, but I'm afraid I can't get anything from it, except its old, and has traveled far to get here. It looks south American, actually, Incan almost. If I may...? He grabbed a small digital camera and placed the necklace on the tabletop, on black velvet to contrast. It felt powerful, but not because it had power, but because it had been near power for a long time, and slightly absorbed it. He took a few pictures, then handed the necklace back to the girl. Let me consult with a few people, I'll send this out on the Internet. Give me a few days, I might have something for you...

"Thanks man," She took back her necklace and put it back on. Hopefully something would turn up. She really wanted to know something. Wondering if he knew of a good place to stay for cheap. "If you excuse me i got to find a good cheap motel to rest up at for a while. I have a feeling I'll be staying in this town for awhile."

Reselda smiled in her sleep as the memory of happy times filled her dreams but whimpered softly as the feeling was replaced with that of anger and disappointment from her father, along with fear and disgust from her mother. The feeling of being alone and cold flooded her dreams in waves along with the others. Even after all this time part of her still wanted to please them to get them to take her back and to love her once again while another part feared them and the life that she once lived. Once again her heart filled with a desire to be free of her powers so that she could be worthy of love and a desire to never have found out that her parents had kept a secret from her though she still didn't know what it was. twisted
((Hey everyone with the way this rp is looking it makes me want to try and turn it into a story. If you don't mind if I use your character or the basic idea of said character or if you have any questions please send me a PM. Those whose characters/character concepts are used will get a mention in the author's notes and will have veto rights to any part as they will be given the chance to read it first. Thanks. biggrin ))

Seeing the familiar nod from Mr. Marko, Jessy returns to tidying up the place. She's still excited about Mr. Arc's appearance in the tiny antique store and can't help but smile as she remembers all that had happened. She wonders what it is exactly that he was wanting Mr. Marko to look for. Must be rather important if he came in person.
Seems that everything is needing dusting today. If only there were an easier way. Humming to herself she wipes each shelf off carefully. I wonder how things are going upstairs. It's been pretty quiet...maybe I should go see if everything is alright. Ooh and eat my lunch while I'm up there." Her stomach rumbles as she thinks about food. Seeing that Cain was still assisting the customer she heads up to the apartment.
Quietly she walks into the kitchen and grabs her sandwhich. Taking a bite she notices that Mrs. Marko had already prepared dinner. It smelled wonderful. Then again Jessy was pretty hungry. Finding Kala working on her cross stitch she quietly asks, "Is everything alright now?" Then takes another bite of her sandwhich, holding a soda in the other hand.

Cain gave her the name of a guy he knew who ran a nice place close by, signing his name to a business card for her. Give this to Steve, he'll set you up for a week or so, if we need more time he can arrange it, too. I hope to have something for you before then. Showing her to the door, he directed her to the motel, and told her to come back later to tell him how she settled in. Smiling after her, he returned and walked up the steps where Jessy and Kala were. Cain sent Jessy back downstairs to keep and eye on things, then he noticed Kala had made one of her rare spontaneous changes, as she sat in the chair, kniiting, trying not to look nervous, she had sprouted tawny lion fur and cat ears on the top of her head. Walking over to her, he rubbed them for comfort. Your ears are showing, love After a little, he came to a decision. It might make things worse, but he couldn't stand Zel-chan suffering. Walking into the bedroom, he sat down on the bed and bundled her into his arms. He held her loosely, rubbing her arms and sending calming soothing emotions down their link, intensified by his touch on her. He felt her stiffen, a little, at the unexpected contact, but she relaxed after a few seconds as he rubbed and soothed. He saw even more that way, all red and black images, fear, pain, nothing good there. He rubbed and held her, trying to share his warmth as well. He knew it was silly, but he felt like she was his daughter, and he was just a dad trying to comfort her as best as he could. He whispered Shh, its ok Zel-chan, I'm here, sleep safe...

I think so...Oh! Kala jumped when her husband whispered that her ears were showing, wondering if Jessy had noticed anything. She'd noticed alot lately her gift manifesting itself most plainly when she was preoccupied or had rather strong emotions running through her, changing back and forth between whatever animal suited the emotions she was feeling most and her humanoid form. Looking down, Kala realized she was slipping in and out of lioness form, and quickly changed back with a thought, berating herself for not having as much control over her powers as she'd like....but she had to admit having her ears rubbed was a very addictive feeling, and for once could understand why other animals liked it so much, so she let her husband play with them for a minute, purring as he did, before finally changing back as he walked towards the bed.
Silently, she watched her husband take Res in his arms, and smiled as she set her cross-stitching down on the arm of the chair. For a moment, she wasn't sure whether to join them or not, but soon the decision was made. She walked over to the bed, curling up next to her husband, and with a loving mother's touch, softly pushed the Res's hair from her face as she rubbed her husband's back.

Cristiana nodded and thanked him as she followed the instructions to the motel. "Hello I have this from a friend of yours. I need a place to stay and said you'd help me."
Steve took the note and smiles. "Oh yeah him. It is fine" Tossing her a key. "We have only basic cable for free and I'd hook ya up with free internet but I don't see a laptop on ya so If you need anything yell." He then slid her a list of resturants and convenent stores.
"Thanks sir." She smiled and was about to head to her room.
"No need to call me sir. Call me steve, Sir makes me feel old."
"Right Steve. Thanks again man I appericate it." Chris then walked to her room and started to make herself at home.

Reselda flinched away from the touch at first but as she realized she wasn't in danger she began to relax a bit. The continual contact managing to chase away her current dreams as another flooded her thoughts. This one, a memory of a happy time when her parents had both sat by her bedside comforting her after a nightmare helped her to relax even more into the gentle embrace. She unfolded a bit before turning to slightly curl up against Cain as a tiny smile appeared and the words, "Mother, Father." escaped her lips in a barely audible whisper. twisted

Seeing how everything seemed to be in order, Jessy happily goes back down stairs to watch the store. Of course not noticing anything unusual as her mind had been in the clouds again. Now that she wasn't hungry she'd be able to concentrate a little more on her homework between customers.
Sitting behind the counter Jessy pulls out a notebook and starts making notes on what she needs to tell Mr. Marko when things calm down a bit. She would hate to forget to tell him that Mr. Arc was asking for his assistance. It would definately be worth the offer. She could only imagine how much he would be willing to pay for such help. Lightly tapping the pen against her cheek as she thinks.
