Koichi opened his eyes, tasting the last bit of the marshmallow somehow[? xD]. Well, his job was done and he didn't need her to be mad at him. He pulled away, and grinned. "All gone," he stated. He wondered if she'd realized that was what he was going to do before he'd done it, and store at her for a moment. "You knew that was coming, right?" he questioned, hoping he wouldn't get slapped at all. She seemed to be thinking too hard, though, and he arched an eyebrow. "Uh... what are you thinking about?"

[No worries! I'm totally watching random j-rock videos on youtube. =D]
Kana remained looking dazed for a few seconds, complete with unfocused eyes. But then her body gave a sudden jolt, and she blinked rapidly, then focused upon Koichi. "E-eh?" she stammered, eyes wide again. "I-I did, I think." She swayed in place, looking like she was about to fall over, but managed to catch herself and sit still again. "I'm not thinking about anything!" she cried, much too loudly.

Koichi just chuckled. "Hey, you alright there, Kitty?" He qeustioned, looking at her a little questioningly; why was she swaying? He reached over, grabbing the stick with the marshmallow, making another smore and offering it to Kana. "Want another one?" He found them quite good, though he usually somehow messed up his smores; maybe it was because his marshmallows always ended up burnt somehow.

[Homg! I've discovered I love Nightmare. They're all pretty. And so are Alice Nine. D:]
Kana blinked a couple times, then glanced off to the side as she took a deep breath in an attempt to calm herself. She'd gotten herself way too worked up, considering what had happened wasn't all that bad. She did tend to overreact a lot of the time though. She turned to face Koichi after a moment, hesitated, then slowly nodded her head. "Y-yes please.." She'd try hard this time, to make sure she stayed clean so his... help wouldn't be necessary.

Koichi smiled at her softly, leaning his forehead against hers for a moment, before she'd started to eat it. "Hey, don't be so tense and worked up. You know I wouldn't do anything to hurt you," he said softly, his eyes closed so it wouldn't be so awkward. With that, he pulled back and slid back onto the sand, toasting another marshmallow or... three. He swayed back and forth, humming to himself; he felt wonderful now, especially since it was a nice night, and he was kana.

[Yeah. xD Nightmare does the first opening and ending themes to Death Note. I randomly remembered and looked up Alice Nine. >.>]
Kana jumped slightly, but calmed down again almost instantly as she stared at him. However, she quickly noted his eyes were closed and squeezed her own shut as well. Besides, it was a little weird to see his face right there, so close to hers. "...kay," she said quietly, hesitating first to make sure she wouldn't stammer. When he pulled back, her eyes repened, and she glanced at him, smiled faintly, and then took a small, cleaner bite of the smore.

"I'd watch it, if I were you," Koichi laughed, looking over his shoulder at her, pointing at the smore, "sometimes, the marshmallow is too squished and it falls out. Since it's fresh, it will be hot," he warned, grinning at her before returing to the marshmallows he'd been cooking; he hoped the smore wouldn't fall. "Oh, and if you get cold, just tell me!" He didn't want her to catch cold, or even be cold; no, he wanted her to feel warm and safe right now. Besides, he'd feel guilty, as usual, if he let her be cold for a really long time.

Kana paused, seeing him point at something out of the corner of her eye. She realized after a second it was the smore and she listened to his advice, something she definitely didn't remember from the last time so many years ago. "Ok!" she smiled, peering at it carefully. It looked to be fine, so she blew on it lightly in case it was hot, and finally took the bite she kept stopping herself from taking. "And I'm not cold just yet," she added cheerfully, before biting down.

Koichi just nodded his head; he coudln't argue with her, after all. If she wasn't cold, she wasn't cold. That was all there was to it. So, he made a smore from the marshmallow closest to the end, but continued cooking the other two. He started eating the fresh smore, covering his mouth as he yawned, not wanting anyone- or anything- to see a mouth full of smores.
He turned suddenly, though, hearing a rusling coming from inside the blankets. "Hello," he said softly,crawling through the sand to the blankets. He blinked a few times, seeing what made the noise, and quickly grabbed it, putting it back into the blankets, knowing it had fallen back to sleep within a moment or two; he didn't need Kana to see what it was, nor know about it till much later, if he could help it.

Kana finished the smore in a couple more bites, sucessfully keeping clean this time. She smiled contentedly to herself as she turned her head to stare out over the water. However, at the rustle, her ears twitched, not missing the sound. She did manage not to see what it was though, if there even was something to see. "What is it?" she asked curiously, but stayed on the rock as if she were stranded, and it'd kill her to climb down. She knew once she did get down, she wouldn't complain and would try to get used to it, but she'd delay that for as long as she could.

Koichi shook his head. "I-it's nothing, don't worry about it," he said, grinning as he crawled back to the marshmallows, making two smores, one of which he offered Kana. "It was just a bird," he made a quick excuse, hoping to cover up. I don't want her to know about... the other kitty, he thought to himself, glancing at the fire for a moment, taking a munch of the smore he made for himself. It felt awfully good when it was nice and fresh like this.

"...oh," Kana looked confused for a moment, until he mentioned it was a bird. She seemed to accept that, and then shrugged the whole incident off as she took the smore from him again. They were kind of addicting, actually. "Thank you," she grinned, but waited a moment again, watching to make sure the marshmallow didn't fall out, and delaying as she waited for it to cool.

Koichi had already finished his smore, but he didn't want another one. So, he abandond the marshmallows and the sticks they'd used to roast them, and stood, walking over to the blankets. He started to lay them out, close to the fire so they could be warm; however, he made sure to be careful on the last one where kitty was. He snuck her into his jackets inside pocket, which was big enough for her, seeing as how she was the size of his hand pretty much. She was alseep, anyway, so she wouldn't put up a big fight. He then layed the last blanket down, sitting upon them as he grinned up at Kana. "Thought I should set up," he stated; in truth, he didn't want her to have found kitty later.

Once it was cool enough, Kana began eating away at the smore, somewhat slowly since she knew it was her last one. Her eyes hovered over Koichi, watching as he laid out the blankets. She missed the stowing of the cat in his jacket, having lingered upon the blankets for a moment extra. She looked back at him and returned the grin, nodding her head up and down. "Yes, thank you." She glanced around, then scooted towards the edge of the rock that was nearest to him. "Are we sleeping now?"

Koichi shook his head. "Unless you want to sleep now," he chuckled. However, he layed back on the sheets, gazing up at the stars; though the fire was close to them, it didn't interfere too much with the stars, like lights from the school usually did. He laughed softly, feeling Kitty paw his chest for a moment before going back to sleep; must have been dreaming about playing or chasing something.
