Audrey nodded smiling. "We barely had a time to catch up on all these years, Rayne. You didn't know I was the town pastor did you?" she said, walking down the road with her a little ways.

Rayne shook her head sadly, sighing as she scratched her head. "Nope. I missed a lot in those years. Just wish I could've stayed in touch somehow..."

Audrey patted her head between her ears and smiled down at Rayne. "It couldn't be helped. We were children at the time. I'm sure neither of us were that resourceful to stay in touch." she said, smiling.

Karen slowly walked down the dusty dirt road. Dust flew up behind her, everytime she would walk. Minty trailed in front of her, and meowed a small tune. Karen smiled, as she looked around seeing the town grow bigger.

Rayne stretched and morphed into her human form. "Yeah...And dear old mumsy wouldn't have let us talk anyways...," She said cooly, a hint of bitterness in her voice. "She hated everything about both of us that wasn't..." Her voice trailed off for a moment, "...Perfect." She tucked a strand of raven hair behind her ear, shaking her head.

Karen noticed two people a little ways down the road. She decided to not intrude, and she stopped, and sat on the bench a little ways from them. They could both notice her sitting there, so if they wanted to come over they could. Karen placed Minty in her lap, and would pet her softly.

"Yeah I suppose..." she murmured slightly, yawning and staring up at the night sky. It was getting bluer by the hour. "It's almost daytime...I should probably go get some rest. You should ask Al for a house, ya know."

Solemn looked around, seeing that Rayne had wandered off. Shaking his head, he looked back at Audrey and shrugged. "Why waste the time?" He said quietly, "...Rayne likes to leave before there are too many memories. This place won't be any different.

Audrey looked down at Solemn then up at Lefty, her face grim. "Is that true?" she asked quietly, her eyes softening in disapointment.

Solemn shrugged, his eyes wide. "We've been travelling for so long that I can't even remember where we came from. Paris. Rome. Tokyo...," He named off several places, shaking his head, "...We've been everywhere."

Audrey looked around seeing how empty the road was now. "Oh...I see." she mumbled, pushing up the glasses on her face. "So this is just no different I guess...even with family?" She wished that her voice had more hope than it hinted.

"Probably not." Solemn's green eyes flickered with remorse, and he looked away. "Rayne's not a person to put down roots anywhere. She likes knowing that she doesn't have to stay put; that she can wander off whenever she needs to. You might get up one morning, and we'll be long gone." He stared back at her, his face expressionless. "I'll warn you ahead of time - Rayne never sticks around to say goodbye."
